Exactly. A lot of people here don’t understand that DID creates real, distinguished personalities. It doesn’t matter if the alters “aren’t real” in the sense that all alters are part of the same person. Memories make up a person’s entire being. When you block certain memories, it can create an entirely different personality. They’re really, truly people in the sense that each alter believes themself to be real. Even if it’s just the brain’s way of processing traumatic memories. But it IS unethical to operate on this person/“System” because ONE person isn’t gender dysphoric. You cannot medically harm one person in order to save another. That’s just against a doctor’s code of ethics. This surgery shouldn’t even be done on her, because it would harm her. There are other treatments for gender dysphoria, treatments which her alters need to seek instead.

There isn't even 100% agreement in the field of psychiatry that this disorder is real. So this girl most likely doesn't have this disorder, and is only doing this to get attention. 🙄😑

How do u know she's the real consciousness? Don't know much about dissociative multiple personality disorder, but I've always had the idea that control is divided equally among the consciousnesses.
@@kovoempire4093 it isn't. It is not like the movie split, like, at all. Generally there are two type. One feels like a possession, where you are conscious while some other force controls your actions and you kind of are just along for the ride. This form usually only has ONE other personality. Then there is the type you mentioned, where the personalities may swap. In that case, generally there are blackouts and conflict between the personalities. It isn't like a body by committee where they hang out and have peaceful conversations about decisions. It's more like the main personality hears voices of other people in their head and they occasionally force the main persona to black out and take over for periods at a time. It's similar to fight club, where the narrarator talks to Tyler sometimes, watches Tyler sometimes, or blacks out and IS Tyler sometimes. If that makes sense. I absolutely do not believe this girl at all. Sounds like she farms mental illness for views because she has a need for approval and attention.
That's exactly what I was thinking what dr out there is going to perform surgery on this poor girl just because her (head mates) said they want it omg she needs a psychiatrist and some mental help first I will be very disappointed in any dr thinking that surgery is ok for this young woman

I came here to say the same thing. This girl doesn't need to be having surgery. She needs therapy and probably needs to be put on some meds too. I mean, even in the state of mind that she's in in this video, she clearly isn't happy about having surgery to permanently change her body but she is willing to do it for people/personalities that exist only in her mind. I hope and pray that no surgeon will perform this surgery on her and that she gets the psychological help that she needs.

My aunt has this disorder. She doesn’t really have a grasp on the other identities. She just “loses” time. It was very upsetting to witness growing up. This woman doesn’t need surgery but she def needs help.

This poor girl doesn't need surgery, she needs someone in her life that cares about her. She needs a big hug and someone to tell her that everything is going to be ok, you can hear in her voice how scared she is like she has no one to turn to for advice.

Yeah, it took me listing to that twice to unscramble what she was saying. While I write stories about fantasy and sci-fi characters. I also put myself in their "headspace" of what they would do and how they would react in certain situations, I know they are not real. I think she has let her imagination get away from her. It can be fun to explore the unreal. But, you always have to come back and not confuse the two.

To get rid of a devil, according to the Bible, it only goes out by prayer and fasting.( See Matthew 17:21 source) But nobody actually prays enough and fasts enough to cast out devils for others, so the only option is for the possessed person to call out to Jesus for him to cast out the devil. Then so that the devil doesn't return later, they need to get saved. Which is really simple. Whosever believes in Jesus as the scripture describes him, and calls upon him asking for salvation, will be saved. No works, no penance. If I go into a doctor and demand to have my appendix taken out, even though there's nothing wrong with my appendix, and the doctor does it anyway, that's malpractice. That's wrong. Its a trend. 3 years ago if someone spoke about "alters" or hearing voices they would seek help and would be placed on proper psychosis medications....now people call our inner voice as an "alter" because it's trendy and cool on ticktoc. The teachers would inform parents and present aware parents would contact doctors. Remember 0.32% of the population actually has schizophrenia where they hear voices that aren't their inner critical thinking.

You can't treat DID with antipsychotics, only therapy will truly help because with DID antipsychotic medications can't make the voices of the alters go away. And schizophrenia is not as rare as people think 1 in 100 people have it, and it's very possible for people with it to lead full lives, it's a spectrum like autism not everyone who has it experiences all the same things or has the same type of treatment that works.

There are plenty of studies you can wilfully dive into. The mental illnesses we are speaking of are so so so so so very rare and so very serious, that watering down these illnesses with facades is unfortunately diminishing the actual significance of help that tiny, less than 1% of the population, need.

The problem with this idea is that she is clearly lucid, and clearly understands the gravity of her choice. The state *should not* be allowed to interfere in this decision. (Unless she is legally a child). It's hard to watch, but freedom isn't always easy. I grew up in the 90s and my position on these sorts of things has remained constant and at the "best" that the left ever got to. Adult humans should be allowed to do whatever they like, with whoever they like provided that everyone involved is a consenting adult. It's when (legal) children are brought into this that I have a problem. 4 guys, 3 women and 2 "TQ+" all want to get into a strange kind of marriage? That's A.OK with me, provided everyone is a (legal) adult, and everyone is consenting. You want to cover your body with tattoos? Amputate a finger? Take drugs? Settle a dispute with a duel to the death? Bisect your tongue? Transition to another gender? That's all fine too, as long as everyone is (legally) an adult and agrees to it.

DID literally cannot be helped, when you're made aware that you're in a system there's no going back, there's literally several developed personalities residing in one body and certain things trigger these personalities to surface. Best thing you can do is come up with a manageable system between the other people you share your body with

@@jadelynn1703 people with schizophrenia can never be cured. They will relapse and have another episode. Therapy and medication can delay these episodes from occuring but in the end, they are almost guaranteed to have one. It's a shame, but we can't do anything other than that. This person however, would greatly benefit from therapy. I'm assuming since she's the one making the video that she is the original "personality", and since she is the original she should have more control than the others. A therapist can help her understand this, and help her through it.
Seriously. I was a wicked tomboy for most of my middle school/highschool life. I didn't fit in with the girls, and mostly hung out with boys. I would've been the perfect target for that type of grooming.

They have DID. It is caused by extreme childhood trauma befor the age of 10. Basically, inorder to survive the trauma, their brain learned to put up amnesia barriers and split up trauma into different people/"personalities". Since this was done before they had developed a singlular personality, they developed into a group of personalities/people, referred to as alters. This youtuber called the disorder "dissocitive multiple personality disorder" which is completely incorrect. Proving how little reaserch they did into this disorder. For anyone wondering, it is actually called dissociative identity disorder. None of this is true. Your brain is not capable of making you forget things without physically destroying parts of it. This can only occur via surgical means or traumatic brain injury. No thought processes or emotional issues can cause it. The fact this person records themselves, and clearly like twenty years old (post-puberty) it's pretty obvious they're just attention seeking nonsense.

Maybe not the therapist but definitely the surgeon. She could have been speaking with her therapist and her therapist try to explain things and talk her out of it but then she goes behind the therapists back and gets a surgeon to do an unethical surgery.

I’ve seen her on cringe compilations. She claims she was abused in the Mormon church and left a very young marriage. She was then committed and started collecting disorders and now works at a psych facility on staff and films TikToks about her littles and her duck personality. Poor girl is really struggling.

But surgeons like this thing called money, and if you can build a reputation for doing surgery on anybody regardless of morality, you will attract certain clients. Definitely, any mental health professional that sees this and still thinks it's okay for her to go ahead with this life changing decision should have their license revoked. This individual is unwell and needs treatment not a sex reassignment surgery. I really hope she didn't go through with it.

The problem I have is the establishment trying to mainstream it and normalize it. And then supporting the rhetoric that goes against the average everyday normal person in favor of these people who obviously have a mental illness. I'm also Gen-X. The problem is we always say that we're going to be softer when raising the next generation than our parents were. And then we proceed with that plan. And yes, I'm as guilty as any other parent. Gen Z is what happens when you overly coddle people from a young age, and tell them how super special they are. "Participation Awards" are a perfect example. Did our generation get Participation Awards? No. We were taught to compete and win, and to win with grace and humility. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Discipline, focus, morals, thinking of others (Golden Rule), self accountability. THAT'S what we should have been teaching, and that's where we failed.
Loss of spirituality replaced with materialism, consumerism, globalisation, women having no choice but to work and most of all narcissistic traits growing because of social media. Covid-19 did not help youth either. The prevalence of pop psychology hasn't helped either.
This was genuinely disturbing to watch, as a father. This poor girl (yeah, I said it) has been subject to a level of trauma only she can understand. She needs so much love, support and help before she takes her own life.
Sad thing is her therapist probably groomed her into this mentality to begin with. And the surgeons only poured fuel on the fire. I've been saying since 2019 when this only first started to become popular that people are going to regret this within 10 years...I didn't have to be so generous with the time frame, cuz now we already see people regretting it before it happens. Heck, we all regret doing stuff in our 20s. All of us, yet these people got convinced its okay to do the worst thing possible to themselves just short of suicide. However, they can't get tattoos, or drink alcohol yet...It's disgustingly tragically backwards.
We don’t tell an anorexic person their image of their self is real, we don’t tell a schizophrenic person the voices are real, we don’t tell a manic person their delusions are real. Why do we then affirm people are actually the gender they aren’t? My impression of therapy was that it’s supposed to help you adjust to life and reality if you’re having issues, not validate and rationalize the delusions
DID has real people though. When you experience trauma as a child ur brain copes by splitting into several personalities to comfort the trauma victim.they all share the same body but they share different information.
DID isn't about being delusional or hearing voices. It's your brain creating different personalities to protect you from the extreme trauma that has happened.
Not only have people begun to validate this mental illness, our society has actually changed to accommodate it. At my job, if we call a co- worker her or she and she insists she be called a man, we get fired if we don't comply.

A lot of young people are into the whole gender confusion thing as a fad, but I agree this girl has serious psychological problems and need to see a psychiatrist, not a surgeon.
Yeah it couldn’t be because a segment of society praises mental illness these days. I’m not saying she isn’t legitimately sick but there’s a good chance that she’s just doing it for attention. Young girls are especially prone to this sort of behavior.

I’m a therapist. Here to say that DID people almost always don’t know that they have alternate personalities as they “loose time” aka dissociate from themselves. They don’t hear them in there head and befriend them. It is very rare that they know any alternate personalities exist u til others point it out and/or they are in counseling. This sounds like schizophrenia, not DID. And she needs an actual therapist. Not a surgeon. This really makes me mad about my profession. So many quacks out there. There are hardly any of us real therapists left that actually do therapy and ask questions and challenge our patients vs. just affirming them and giving them what they want. This person’s therapist is a puppet.

She just has an overactive imagination and a boring personality so she makes up stories to tell the other children. She's a fantasist, that's all. I went to a couples therapy session. The therapist, I kid you not, said "There's no such thing as 'the truth', only 'our truth's'". My wife agreed with her, and I asked for our money back.
they're cashing a blank check from their "patient" and then getting paid a referral finder's fee for sending them to the surgeon. It's all about money. I feel so awful for people in your profession too who make this person's "therapist" seem like the prevalence instead of the outlier.

Aside from trauma therapy, there isn't a real treatment for DID and the worst part is, these "personalities" aren't just voices. These are pretty much fully formed alternate states of consciousness. The person in the video is just as much a teal person as the other people in her head.
I'm sure she has treatment going if she can even consider gender reassignment. But you can't solve multiple personality disorder, it sounds like the (hopefully) dominant personality got outvoted. Even if she didn't agree with them, they also get control over the body and freedom to make their decisions too. "Them" being the personalities that didn't get to talk there.

This makes me angry. D.I.D is generally caused by unspeakable trauma. Generally as a child. Trauma where the child had no power or choice about what happened to their body/mind/soul. Locking this person away would revisit trauma and could cause unbelievable damage. I know you said what you said with the best of intentions but the comment was chilling.

Any type of body altering surgery would be highly unethical. Not just gender reassignment, but ANY elective surgery. She needs a psychiatrist. Not someone who wields a scalpel.

We need to do better about teaching our kids to self evaluate. Almost all mental problems are solvable within your own mind. It's simple. If you don't like what your doing, change it. Stabilize your mind before you make any life altering choices. And for goodness sakes don't use prescription drugs to Stabilize.
Why would any doctor allow that to happen when obviously there are lots of mental issues . To have these surgeries should require lots of therapy and mental health 1st. This is insane 😳
Ah but having mental health fixed wouldn't keep the governments pockets lined with gold. Hence the government makes that shit expensive and damn near impossible to get help for. But yeah she shouldn't get that surgery and I hope she honestly does get that help she needs just like any other mentally ill person.
