Man I been going down the rabbit hole of interviews that ART has done with Gene Deal and you talk about some eye openers!!!! To me Gene Deal is one of the only ones who was around and was involved in these situations that so many people have been speculating on for over 25 years. Thanks Art for delving in to the reality of what was truly going on during those times. I think people get bamboozled into believing one narrative without really listening and examining the crazy elements that were in play during this time. Your interviews have made me look at the whole east vs. west, Tupac vs. Biggie in a whole new light.
Gene def has that, you're safe with me bruh, vibe to him. He's obviously a rock solid human being as well to have lived through all that. I'd love to meet this man someday being that I am in the same line of work as he was with even bigger people.
That whole thing was so traumatic it’s no way anybody could forget it.. I’m just glad he told Bigs mom everything. He’s the only one really advocating for Big still. Only time Diddy brings him up is some way to make money off him.
Theres a really valid reason for some of the discrepancies in the stories. Trauma does some wierd shit to our brains. So things like cease thinking they were running lights and jumping curbs, and gene remembers a slower ride to the hospital...both or neither could've happened. Eye witness testimony in moments like that is notoriously unreliable, no matter how hard u are. But gene has definitely given insight to the events directly outside of those moments that truly seem to come from an honest place.
Me and my friend were just talking about this yesterday because about 20 years ago my dad knocked out my neighbor for threatening me lol but I was standing next to my dad at the dudes front door and my boy was about 4 houses down in his driveway watching the whole shit and both of our memories of what happened are different and I said that's why eye witness testimony is weird because we were both there but it seemed like a completely different event from both perspectives, most of it the same but some of the details completely different
@Gorilla Chronicles exactly! I read a book on columbine that went into this and thought it was so interesting. Fight or flight/adrenaline, makes it hard to lock in memories...but our brains cant reconcile gaps...so it fills in those details itself.
Most definitely, Gene did that shit as a job, he trained to be calm in situations like that. Cease was a 17 year old kid in a car that was getting shot at. After watching almost all his content I believe Gene 1000%. I just wish Diddy would have listened to him that night, and Diddy never acknowledged that Gene was the only reason it wasn’t him that night.

@@kinghussle878 just because he appears to be well scripted to you guys does not mean he speaks only truth? Gene No Deal Is Neck & Neck With Weggie So Not Wright when it comes to lying!
It's actually Gene's interview, the interviewer wants him to say more. It means more interview time, even if for more videos. The interviewer struck gold, when Gene wants to say more about topics.
His soul is in hell unfortunately.. he openly rejected Gods mercy and said “when i die f*** it I wanna go to hell.” “God'll prob'ly have me on some real strict shit No sleepin' all day, no gettin' my d*** licked Hangin' with the goodie-goodies, loungin' in paradise F*** that s***, I wanna tote guns and shoot dice.” No coming back once you deny the Lord in your heart and to others
@@egthebarber I hate to inform you because y’all believe in a white mans religion but hell does not exist, we have a cycle of karma though so we either transcend or reincarnate back to this planet to fulfill any missteps or tasks in previous lives, this world is based on energy and vibrations and the white man enslaved Africans and gave them Christianity and Arabs gave them Islam
3:24 The one dude that came over from Deathrow was my boy *J Flex* . He wrote "Keep Their Heads Ringin (1995), California Love (1995), Been There Done That (1996).... all that! "
I'm glad he telling these truths because those of us that loved tupac & biggie deserve to understand what happened..that's all we as fans want ...clearly America 🇺🇸 isn't gonna arrest nobody
Puffy ,I can't imagine what he was thinking taking out there with no hired armed guards that alone is suspicious .a fool would have known not to go out there .and why wasn't he in a armored truck if not just for that night .it doesn't add up unless it was a set up .bug was about to leave and that would have been a bad look for bad boy records big breaking off and going alone eliminate the competition
The fact the interviewer actually remembers what his previous guests (a year ago) says and can bring it up with current guests when it's relevant is absolutely great work!!!! 👏👏🤝
lol. In watching ALL of these interviews, It must have been open season on the Bad Boy. Everybody and their mama knew it was danger, so I guess it was no surprise after the tragedy.
@@bossplayermfs5972 Quik was there that day and was pressing Biggie.which you confirmed. He knew something went down and witnesses pointed him out that night. This is not the first time this has been brought up.
There has been never any doubt about Big Genes honesty. He has never been caught trying to lie or pump up a story to make himself look better. I myself always believed Big Gene and what he stood for. He knows when to play and when to get serious, and his words are his bond. He needs no one to go behind him cleaning up his mess because he doesn't leave any. As I still say he is the Real Deal.
I was 13 when BIG passed and even then I knew it was Puffy's fault and it was shameful when he did that performance at the MTV awards..he know what he did
@@illkid86 Yeah niqqa. With 2 albums and only one at the time of his death. BIG was in “GOAT” talks with only one album. That should tell you something.
Puff done SO MANY of his own Artists FOUL.. Clearly he's a USER.. He'll do ANYTHING to save himself, even at the expense of other people. Look at all the Artists/Associates under Bad Boy & see how they're doing today & that's all you need to know about Puff/Diddy/Brother Love.
@@MrJozeph5 Ain't Puff fault those artists signed them contracts w 0 representation & w.o reading it. He did standard music business. If you sign w.o reading you deserved to get jerked
@@joshingram071 that may be true but you also gotta think these is young dudes that look up to him he’s manipulating which is even more fucked up especially to the ones that’s supposed to be his lil homies. Also still can’t put all the blame on Puff regardless bc yes he could’ve possibly manipulated them like I said but these dudes puff signed should’ve been able to do other things than just music to keep making money, once that contract is over that initially had them in a fucked up situation they should’ve been smart enough to not put themselves in a situation similar again, so yes at the end of the day puff just did his job as far as the shitty contracts go.
DJ Quik didn't press Biggie, but he definitely walked over by his table & yelled "Deathrow!" at him... He had a drink in his hand & was throwing up his hood on him.
@@AlanSelph The footage is online, there's a clip of Quik at the Vibe party & it's been told by over a dozen people since 97 who were there that Quik was seen walking over by his table & getting loud at Biggie because he was drunk & was yelling "Deathrow! Deathrow in the house!" While throwing up the TreeTop Piru gang sign at him. That's all it was, there wasn't anybody else with him, Quik walked up by himself.
well then we as fans can imagine what it must be like to have to live with that fact...let us take a minute to reflect and be grateful u & i haven't done what he's done...we get to sleep at night with a clear conscience...puffy does not get to that...😉
Did he say he saw keefe d in vegas? At the beginning of the interview? When was he out there when pac got shot also? I thought biggie and puff wasnt in vegas that night? So when he saw him in Vegas which night?
@@kinggokubeats5008 that part! Man has a reason to have an issue no matter how much time has passed. Until responsibility is taken, he has the right to speak. People need to make a mends man, it’s obvious and Unc Gene Deal story has NEVER changed. I believe him. Period.
Because he's bitter. He thinks more about Puff than Puff does about him. As far as the talk about being "F-ed over" by Puff.. it's been over 20 odd years.... either get in contact with Puff or get over it.

Art let's his guest talk, express themselves, doesn't interrupt that speaks to his character interview skills. Unlike some others that we know or may have heard of who have platforms similar to this 1.
@@DWeb0414 of course I understand that but every video posted on this channel is the same topic. If you don't believe me check for yourself. When can we have some different convos?
What's crazy is after all these years is that people are still interested in what happend to big r.i.p and the East coast west coast thing it's still relevant that's why when people say biggie or tupac weren't the best rappers u don't see any other artist still getting talked about
That was cool how you could connect the dots and put a face to the guy who approached Gene and Big at the party trying to talk to Big because Gene has told that stories in many interviews.
