English isn't even my first language and I finally understood everything. My textbook made it so complex and complicated for no reason. Thank you so much Professor Dave for all the hard work!
Holy moly professor Dave....you just took something that was frustrating the life out of me because of how convoluted my text book is and turned it into easy to understand knowledge to be crammed into my brain. haha. thanks!
I was a little confused when I first encountered the distances between genes being expressed as a probability rather than a number of bases. At that time the technology to sequence an organism's entire genome did not yet exist. These days sequencing a new virus or bacterium is fairly routine.
ik this is out of context but I was so used to seeing your long hair, seeing it short just makes me so sad cause everything is changing in my life rn and seeing this just made me have an another breakdown
Thank you professor Dave for your effort. Though the video was very informative, I didn't quite understand the process of analyses in prediction 2 of F2, where if the genes were on the same chromosome.. I mean, how did you come up with this ratio: 1 1 0 0? Hope if you would clarify it more..
3:08 Could someone explain to me what he means by the ratios? Thanks. I know that it means the probability of an offspring inheriting a gene, but how is this ratio exactly determined?
Do you think you can make a vidoe on why people/countries patent viruses or other biological patents? Do you think its good or bad? Keep the awesome videos coming. 👍
While constracting a linkage map, sometimes I get unmatched numbers ( assume that cM is 17% between A and B point and B-C is 9% but A-B is 7%) what could be the reason sir? It may be a dumb question but it just sticks into my mind.
I like the fruit fly. I find it fascinating. But are so tiny. My pet Randell the creasted gecko. Eat a fly once. That got through the ventilation holes of his tank.
Jewish history shows Yehovah had full knowledge of human dna. The recent discovery of Torah code proves the author could see over 5000 years into the future. Nothing in the Qur'an did that.
@@ProfessorDaveExplains Actually yes. You probably never heard of Rabbi Glazerson, or studied Jewish symbols because you've got your head in the ground man. You can do better than that. I've read the Qur'an, I've read them all.
@@mikefromspace You should know that the Qur'an is the true book...Our knowledge is limited for a reason... Allah The Almighty knows best what He has created...He has knowledge about everything but only reveals some of it to us...
