like the majority of the ppl who voted in the 2016 election, i was disappointed that trump won. but i think what Gene said about respecting the title of the presidency(as trump was duly elected), having a chance to voice your opinion in the next cycle, & it not being anyone else's business who you vote for(unless you choose to do so) was wise & eloquently stated. However, i wonder how he feels about the current situation now that a new president has been duly elected, yet the former president has stoked a nonsense conspiracy about a "stolen election". Not only that, but having just heard Simmons speak about the sanctity of our elections/voting system - what's his take on so many republican politicians trying to disenfranchise the american ppl from voting through suppression tactics?
