If he does this again after the band’s done, he should make the entire set all his songs. This is a chance to break out those deep cuts like X-Ray Eyes, All The Way, Mr. Blackwell, Two Timer, Sweet Pain, Love Em and Leave Em, etc.
Dude there realy bad paul is doing play back he cant sing no more gene is the only one sing live there not even playing there are alot of video of them not playing its so funny i cant stop laughing the real kiss is with ace and peter i saw them in 70 80 n mid 90 all originles people are waisting the money on a fake show
Playlist: "Shout It Out Loud" "I" "Are You Ready" "War Machine" "Long Tall Sally" "Calling Dr. Love" "Charisma" "She's So European (Australian)" "Love Theme From KISS" "Let Me Go, Rock and Roll" "I Was Made For Loving You" "Do You Love Me" "Watching You" "Radioactive" ""I Love It Loud" "Plaster Caster" "Deuce" *with Ace Frehley "Rock and Roll All Nite" *with Ace Frehley
statman99 The playlist is interesting but needs editing. 5 or 6 played to death Kiss tracks can go ! Instead replace them with other suitable songs to unify Gene’s show. C’mon It’s not a kiss concert guys !!!
It’s nice to see these songs played with some energy for a change. Gene sounds great the band is awesome and it’s great to see ace and gene together. This is what the end of the road tour should have looked like.
I agree 100%. Gene is actually likeable, funny and genuine in this setting. He said very kind words about Ace before Deuce and the music sounds good without Paul's destroyed voice.
I saw the Melbourne show of this and I have to agree - it was as much fun, if not more, than a KISS show. Gene was funny and his band were awesome. I hope he brings this back again after KISS.
Would be great to hear Good Girl Gone bad or Hell or high water live. No one is as good as Gene at his age. THE most underrated songwriter singer bassist of all times
Random RU-vid brought me here. I love RU-vid. Haven't had cable in 10 plus years. Anyways, I found this very entertaining and I like the way gene Simmons let the other dudes shine. My first kiss record was called dressed to kill.
@genesimmons #genesimmons I have ALWAYS LOVED ‘Charisma’ and have always wished KISS would play it. This band proves that it can be played as a HEAVY PURELY ROCK song. Damn, I wish KISS would add it before they’re done.
This very good, sounds like Kiss, especially the lead singer, he sounds like a young Paul Stanley. These small concerts are so much better when the fans get to actually join in.
@@AMadScientist What a pity - do you think (or know) Gene will never go on tour solo again? I am sure with his name he will always get a great band together.
@@Klaus80804 I'm sure they'll play small places from time to time. I'm saying that with the virus, Gene and Paul's age and Paul becoming a highly political Twitter user, their End of the Road Tour will never resume. MAYBE a few select shows but that's about. it.
@@AMadScientist Oh Ken, sorry misunderstanding - I was talking about Gene solo ... no makeup, no other KISS members, only Gene and some hired musicians. Like in that video here.
@@Klaus80804 ...and Paul has that Soul Band too but although I"m a fan of Motown, Paul and his band just don't pull it off. Just seems like a good "wedding band"
He changes the lyrics of She's So "European" to "Australian"....yet another reason to love this great showman. You are a legend Gene Simmons. Thank you.
Seen them live and it was great. The vibe was excellent and I had a really good time. I just wish they'd played more of my old Kiss favourites, but those are for the Kiss shows, I get that.
its just me or what? gene have such a different - better energy whit out paul at the same stage? i like this concert more than end off the road tour. peace
It's because he doesn't have to be in character like he does in KISS. It's his show to do what he likes. There is no script, prescribed moves or routines. He cracked jokes and interacted with fans who came up on stage. I went to the Melbourne show and it was just a celebration of KISS music without the glitz and glamour.
Usually I jump past this song been hearing it for over 40 yrs but this was refreshing I enjoyed this version, and whats with I? I liked the Elder. This was awesome
Wow! Credit where credit is due: Gene Simmons still knows how to do a damn good show! He's engaging and funny and brings a shit-load of talent with him to the stage. I far as I'm concerned you can never go wrong with the three guitar plus bass and drum assault combo! I also really helps that all the guys can sing back up as well. Gene, you still got it you sex-crazed old demon you!
What's very interesting is a Gene solo show is amazing, a Ace solo show is amazing but a Paul solo show is lacking. It really shows you how much Paul relies on people like Gene & Ace to have his band Kiss work. As we see here the chemistry between Gene & Ace is fine, but as always its Paul who has the hang ups that people like Ace are not good enough to be in his band Kiss. Thank GOD Ace got away from Kiss, if he stayed it would have killed him.

With a band like this behind you, it`s not hard to sound great. Paul also did a great solo tour over 30 years ago.
so cool , gene awesome band!!! ace what can i say its always a pleasure when he comes back one way or another into the kiss world and his t-shrit :) out of this world!!
I have to say, this is a surprisingly great performance. Part Vegas and part Vaudeville revival, this is almost the perfect format for Gene. His band is more than capable of knocking out spirited and faithful versions of his signature songs and, to be honest, he looks much more comfortable with this group than his "day band". The pacing of this show is great, with a good mix of (very) deep cuts and classic solo/KISS hits and the odd nod to Gene's "desert island cuts". The audio mix is outstanding, the guitars very evenly matched, and everbody is singing very well. The band really all look like they're having a hell of a lot of fun. "Gene , you fat fuck, just stop talking and play the songs"..... I can't even.
Gene is having fun, fantastic to see. Many of the songs are played very well and with real enthusiasm. I suspect that many of these songs would not be allowed by Paul Stanley in a Kiss set list.
ace and gene should have done the whole show together its really sad the original kiss line up couldnt go out the way they started ive been a fan since i was a kid now in my 50s and i see myself how life is flying bye in almost the blink of an eye when it comes down to it all its all about love thats the answer and in my opinion they all deserved to be together for the final tour but what ya gonna do,i still love these guys no matter what!!!
When KISS finally ends Gene will miss it more than anyone. Hope he finds something to fill his time and isn’t too miserable not being The Demon anymore.
Hey buddy my last name is Patrick it will a emotional time when Kiss takes its last bow on the stage..I'm sure Kiss will go on with some young guys in the roles of Demon and Starchild.
