Metal Marty Wonderful! All three of them are great guitar players, from different moments of the band. It’s so cool to see them all together. Great video.
I thought the same thing. I’ve gained a lot of respect for Paul the last few years as I’ve learned more about him. He truly does love this band, he loves the fans, and he still (even after 45 years) has a ball on that stage every night.
LUVKISS1970 keep in mind we’re talking about Paul. He’s not stupid. Needs to put on the happy face to help get the excitement going for End of the Road. I doubt he’s “happy” about sharing the stage again with Ace
@@terrycarlton6991 Paul had a sh#t-eating grin watching Ace perform 2000 Man. He started seeing dollar signs during that bad ass acoustic solo in 'Back n the NY Groove'. Ace has been playing a lot lately. He's trying to get back into touring shape. He's close too. He just needs a force (he respects) behind him. Driving him forward. Tommy would be a good sport... just like Bruce was in 95. They could actually still use Tommy to fill out the core groove and help cover Paul's vocals in the higher register.
There's no way this was a one of. Crowds want to see the original 4. Ace can still do it but Peter (if willing and able) would need to just sit out front and Sing Beth or something. He can't pound the skins anymore
@@PerpetualArt There is only room for the one and onlyApaceman! Ace said it a few days back (Vintage Rock) - he would do the show only if he has his makeup and costume back...that he created. Gene wants Ace back, everyone knows that, but Paul is the boss in the ring.
Barnabas Wanger + Ace has put on a lot of weight since the last time he put on the costume. I would rather have Ace in the fold, but I don't care if they wear the makeup at this point. I really like Bruce Kullick too, but only like Revenge and Carnival of Souls. I saw Kiss 12 times from the year they put makeup back on, 1996, to the supposed final tour in 2000. For me to go they would have to have something new in the stage department, and a better set list than they have had. First they said 25 songs, now its already down to 20.
It would be so great on their last forever if they all were together again for One Last Ride it's like just put all the b******* behind and let's do this
Notice how Ace TOTALLY IGNORED Fake Ace Tommy. The hide of Paul Stanley to embrace Ace as he did after what he said in his book. The only true rock star on this stage is Ace Frehley
Actually Ace goes up to him at the end, and the following day during a Q&A Ace made an off the cuff comment about a quick rehearsal for the acoustic reunion Sailaway show and how Tommy was a good guy.
Paul Stanley is a giant political PUSSY. Should have kept his mouth out of politics. I have 4 tickets to a show when it resumes next year. 8th row. I'm going to heckle that bitch a after every song.
I have no intention of going to see the end of the road tour. But if this version of kiss went on the road...no make up, no fire, just ripping through a set of Classic kiss and having a great time, I'd travel and pay a pretty penny to see it
I wouldn't care how they do it...electric, acoustic, both preferably. I dont need or want to celebrate the makeup, the theatrics. They just look silly doing that now. I want to celebrate the fact they actually wrote some pretty awesome kick ass rock and roll
@Edward Baladinakis I think Thayer would help get Ace in shape for the tour. He's been a band super helper for decades. Helping to wrangle Ace before having to replace him.
Just remember Paul has been singing more & longer than Ace, it’s great to see Paul smiling but his voice has no power live anymore, in the studio with studio magic he can just do it but can you imagine Paul trying to sing Heavens On Fire these days, Ouch! How funny was that bit where Paul is trying to get Gene to stop playing his bass during Aces guitar solo Lol, Nice to see Ace give Thayer a thumbs up as if to say nice solo! During Rock and Roll All Night
@@metalmarty3948 i didnt say i love it. But you're another keyboard tough guy trying to start something...i thought it was great Ace took the high road and shook his hand as a man. Kudos to Ace.
@@tylerthomas1864 Nooooo Did you see Ace's solo show on the cruise?? He can't remember anything or sing or play anymore. He's lost a ton. I love Tommy, I'm just saying that this moment was magical, and it feels just like KISS Unplugged.
First off Kiss saddled Ace with a piece of shit guitar with wrong Gage strings Ace said so. Not sure if they were trying to sabotage Ace or what but that's the deal. Must eat Paul up that Ace get the reaction from the crowd 😉
You have to realize that KISS alwasy regarded Ace has a major contributor in KISS - when he applied himself. As Gene has said on many occasions - Ace is capable of great music, if he's sober and willing to work.
I NEVER thought I would see Ace back with KISS again. It's truly an awesome moment. It's a shame that Peter Criss wasn't on board. I would have loved to see the original lineup play again.
If you notice Ace is playing faster than Tommy and has a Different Stroke of the hand. That's a technique that Ace only has no one else.yes I think that Tommy keeps up with him but Ace has always had a tricky hand movement. In the rest of anyone who's ever tried Aces Style can't get it right. Pet Sounds that are used throughout life. You can hear the twine of Ace but not Tommy.
The fans want it and it would be a fitting and respectful end. Nothing would have come after nor existed today without the original four that started it all
This was a beautiful site to behold. They looked happy & relaxed. Ace & the fans handled the whole Tommy thing.. No disrespect to Tommy, he is just doing what he loves but Ace is Ace Period.
First I saw Ace barely paying attention to Tommy when he walks in. But what a suprprise in minute 20:06 when Tommy finished RNRAN solo (yes, just in front of Ace!), Ace says ok and smiles to Tommy.... nice!
Who cares if Bruce is technically better? What's he remembered for in Kiss? The Tears are Falling solo? All the albums he played on were not very good or memorable. Revenge was the best. Ace is a legend. Charisma and personality and a songwriter and part creator of all this. Tommy's just impersonating Ace so idk how good he can play. Black and Blue were nothing. Then he became Genes butler or whatever? Lmao.
He didn't ask Ace can I get you a coffee, he asked him if he wanted to do the solo on Rock and Roll all night and Ace said no, that's why Tommy did the solo.
@EricCarr5091 yes if it's the end of the road all must be acknowledged. Eric Carr did great things for the band, they should have Peter start the song of Beth, have Eric Carr's voice sing the middle, Eric Singer do the final verse and then all three sing the final notes. Seems fair to me :)
@EricCarr5091 double lucky!!!! :) Have a blast for sure :) I hope they do, Eric C was so dedicated to KISS he deserves a final mention, his fans do too. We can't forget his memory and his work.
I saw that as well, but then later he is talking to Tommy and he even touches him so I don't think that was an intentional dissing, Ive seen Ace do that onstage before with others as well and it was meant the way it seemed to be. If he did do it on purpose that was very childish of him to try and embarrass Tommy like that when Ace knew well in advance that they would be onstage together. Ace just recently said in an interview that he really likes Tommy so there would have been no need for him to treat him badly.
Kiss is a much better band with Ace in the lineup. I loved how the original Kiss had everyone singing lead on various songs. Ace still sounds great busting out the Stones cover from the Dynasty album.
If Peter was there it be like an unplugged reunion. Which is why I love Eric it was his idea to ask Peter to be part of unplugged which brought back Ace and sparked the reunion.
Thats what gene and paul would have you believe, but i think they had a reunion in their sights already. They were at their lowest point in popularity and knew there was only one option.
16:36 Tommy: "Ace can i get you anything, coffee, spaghetti, snickers or anything?" Ace: "No Tommy im fine, stop running up to me between every song and go sit down" Tommy: "Okay Spaceman" *pats Ace on shoulder*
Tommy's actually asking Ace if he wants to play the solo to Rock n Roll All Nite. Ace says "I cant play that. You play it." I dont understand the hate Tommy gets, he is very nice and respecting. He and Eric are just doing what Paul and Gene told them to. Almost everyone would do the same if it meant they would be in KISS and they're lying if they say they wouldnt.
Tommy's evening is really only just starting once they walk off. He's got at least 6 spaghettis to prepare and serve the musicians. Then desserts and coffees. He would have been up for a few more hours.
The best thing about this is that Ace is right by Gene and Paul, not put off where Bruce is, and no matter how many more concerts they play with TT and ES before they are done, no one can ever deny the original lineup was magical
There are a lot of people who say that Kiss charges way too much money for their shows and cruises. I would have paid double just to have been here. This is truly a great band past and present and I love seeing them all working together again. I would not mind it at all if this six piece lineup closed out the end of the road tour. Awesome job boys!
@@darren4mc I hope you are right. There should be no reason to not do it. There will be plenty of money to go around for all of them if you include the merchandise that will most definitely boom if all are involved
Letting Thayer play Aces solo in Rock and Roll All Nite, I think is a major sign of respect. Ace likes Thayer and I just think this is really good for them.
Missed Peter, but great to see the boys back playin, Ace bring the band back to life again, awesome, i hope he and Peter tour with them for this up coming tour
I sure as hell hope Bruce plugs in. Being a Fan since 74. I will always love the original 4. Thy made me a fan. But Paul, Gene, Bruce and Eric Carr will always be my Favorite Line up!
Say what you will about Ace's drug and alcohol problems. He was by far the most talented and charismatic member of KISS. Just listen to his solo album compared to the others.
Why paul is so cute?!!! I mean in the shows It seems he really take Care of the members of the band, and here he is really being so good with ACE, it's just so beautiful
@@rorycunningham5457 Uh....have you heard ALIVE1? Don't think you can say that when he is playing the lick that ACE created. ACE is nearly 70 years old....I think ALL the original members have GREATLY deteriorated. ACE's playing...PAUL'S VOICE...PETER'S Skills...GENE'S fat. All of them are getting older. Hell I'm 42 and I feel it when I get up in the morning already. Is ACE as sharp as he once was...no...not even close, but the fact that he's still up there trying to give his fans something to be excited about is pretty frickin cool.
Hooray- all hands on deck! Vinnie plays the pre-cruise party, now Ace and Bruce guesting- I wonder if this is a sign that ex-members will indeed be showing up along the 'End of the Road'..
Ace sounded great! Man I wish Ace was touring with them..he was always my favorite kiss member! Shame I don't think its happening. Last time I saw them was in 2000 and it looks like its staying that way..
Man they look so happy! You can feel the electricity. These guys have chemistry there’s no doubt about it. Let’s just pray to the rock n roll gods the momentum continues into a full blown KISS reunion 🤘🏼thank you for posting
The reason for that was Paul and Ace were basically right in front of me. I held my phone chest high and watched live with my own eyes. I basically filmed what was right in front of me. Also, stage lighting in both sides made it hard if I had even tried changing by angle.
This may sound sacreligous, but I would love to see them drop the makeup for the final tour and bring all of the current and former members on tour. That would be going out in style!! Plus fans would lose their minds !!!!
