Love this video set (parts 1 and 2)! Have had one very similar to this for 50 years and knew how to take apart much of it, but not all of it. Now I can clean the parts I was afraid to try to take apart. Thanks!
Awesomeness 😅!! My wife had just asked about how to do so watching a previous video… n whaaaammm!!! Yours pops up to explain it all!!! Thanks a million
Jason, thanks for making this videos. There are so many of us that own these old beauties, its nice to be able to access a video with detailed instructions.
Love your videos on the Flair. i have a 1962 double oven. All works except the clock. I would like to take it out and get it repaired. you said you would have a segment on taking clock out. Please do one. so many wires attached and I need visual help to attempt. Any plans on this? Desperate! Danny Bond
Great to see your videos. My mother in law has a Flair (RCI-639VL). Door on bottom oven springs are broke, any ideas on how to fix or part numbers for springs? Also, top oven door won't stay open. Any help is appreciated.
@@tsieck4839 I don't recognize your model number, I don't think it is a Flair model. Can you send me a picture of the front of your range? You can send me your email and we can take the discussion offline. I will try to help. Thanks!
My 1964 Flair wall oven CookMaster is not functioning to bake or broil, the clock still works. I attached a CookMaster from a 1963 Flair and the oven works perfectly, but I can't use that one permanently becase it doesn't match or fit with the glass cover. I'd like to bypass the control functions and just have the clock. I need an electrical schematic for that or if you know which termonals to jump. Thanks.
I have a 1965 fridgidare flair…my over stopped working. I had an electrician come out and I am getting power to everything but the clock… he said the capacitor is bad… could that be the problem?? I really don’t want to get rid of it. I’m not sure if anyone in Wichita is able or wants or knows how to work on it.
Do you know where to get replacement switches? I’m not sure what it is but I have a buzzing sound coming from either the thermostat or the actual switch for the large oven on a 1963 40” model.
Great vintage unit. I did not know they made a smaller width one like this. I would much rather have this size one then the one with the 2 ovens. What width is this one, and where can you find one of these? I love the pull out cook top feature. So cool. Great video.
Frigidaire made the Flair range in two sizes, 30" wide and 40" wide. The 30" wide has a single oven, which is the widest oven they made. The 40" has dual ovens, a small one and a medium one. Both models have the same 4 burners. I have both 30" and 40" models for sale in the Kanas City area, just send me an email: jwalker@isacompany.com
Simple. It is a wonderful design and they were built to last. Mine is still working and it was made in the 1950s. It's also a space saver with the slide in burner section. What was most special about it is that is was built with such quality that it still works all of these years later even though it has gotten a TON of use! You won't find that kind of lasting quality in today's products.
