Great car and in white it looks less huge than it is. I think it's great that you clearly state the benefits of fan control and frankly I find BMW's i-Drive system far superior to current solutions. Touch will be cool when we achieve a fully autonomous driving environment. I would certainly choose this car over my current E-Class - the controls are annoying, however I need a station wagon and at just under 6'4" a bit more headroom. I'm sure the next generation will deliver.
I have owned my Electrified G80 for about two months, and at about 6' 3" (1.905m) I know what you mean about the seating position. It was something I noticed when first sitting in the car, and taking delivery, however you quickly become used to it, and it doesn't cause any issues in day to day driving. I find the semi autonomous features brilliant, and I think it's the case that under EU legislation there is a limit to how much the wheel can auto steer. Tesla had to reduce the auto steer on their cars to meet this requirement. Here in the heavily speed restricted (both by speed cameras and congestion) UK, I have averaged 3.6miles per kWh. As you say, this car is attempting to be a total luxury car, which makes for a refreshing change compared to the compromise of the usual premium German competition, and also as you mentioned the styling is so much more unique than the usual rivals.
@@autogefuehl It's great in your review's you comment on the comfort for us taller individuals, at 193cm this seating and headroom issue is definitely a consideration. It's too bad, as the build quality seems to be much higher compared to model y or mach e which would by my alternative choices available at the moment.
12m turning radius isn't so bad, considering Ioniq5 do just as bad :) OnePedal driving: I'm team predictability! (also why I don't like when Tesla Autopilot get so unpredictable) 23:00 maybe those are actually 2 different steps: first energy is regenerated from the motion, then it get into recuperation (either in capacitors, compressed air, or battery packs)
I always appreciate your thorough reviews about ride quality and driving tech assessments while driving. I'm a massive fan of yours. Thank you. With that said, I wonder, compared to the Mercedes EQE 350, which one is quieter when you drive 65 ~ 70 mph? That's the speed people drive in California on the Freeway. I love the car running as silently as possible. EQS is the most desirable EV sedan, but it is out of my budget.
Why oh why did they not bring a v6 to Europe? I would be the first one to get a g70 shooting brake. Only stinger warms my heart, but it's not a g70 though...
the only thing they got righ for me is putting the charge port in the front, but its terrible that they have not got animal cruelty free materials. and alsoi would think that its way too expensive. But as always a great review Thomas.

Yes Animal skin, I love it. Not a fan of the touch controls though. Also would be interesting to do a long term test regarding battery deprecation. Currently it is acceptable/considered normal to lose up to 10% battery capacity each year, which is ridiculous to me. Imagine having a petrol powered car and your tank size would shrink 10% each year.
the seating position is not always about the overall hight only... i am 177, but in some cars i cannot fit from the hight, because of the leg-torso ratio 🙈🙊
That's not the Bentley brand logo, but most certainly the Chrysler logo! But could also be Aston Martin or MINI. Almost as bad as the "Rich" brand rip-off logo by Chery. Come on Hyundai..
Big fail with tall drivers! On a vehicle this big I consider that a Do Not Buy. I'm 21 months into ownership of an M3 LR and stil loving it. Lack of buttons and switches are a big, big plus and music has again become my primary interest when driving with this beautiful sound system. The sense of freedom from normal vehicle concerns just doesn't go away. Just the easiest vehicle to live with I've ever owned and your thinking about cars changes in a huge way.
