Is there a gene in the parent that increases the likelihood of de novo mutations in the offspring?

Is the polygenic risk/score for educational attainment (PSea) the same indicator for intellectual giftedness without autism?

Co-morbidity of Mild Autism with Synesthesia and ADD/ADHD. My siblings are "normal". I am the oldest of 3 girls.

It’s a misnomer for those of us who don’t need support to function independently.

I have a question. My son who is almost 3 was just diagnosed level 2 yesterday. I want to do the genetic testing. My question is how do they know which parent it came from if that is the case? I believe my son will be high functioning and book smart and artistic bc he likes to graffiti EVERYTHING. He also has mild hearing that he inherited from his father.

Interesting. I am wondering how the genetics of the gut bacteria and their metabolic products fit in here.

If you would like to understand more Jonathan you need to look at what you have not measured. Epigenetics and the stress absorbed when in the womb. These factors shape 99% of the peoples development in spectrum. The 'genius' is defined in the womb. The Alan Turing's, the Sir Jimmy Goldsmith's, the Elon Musk's and myself. We all have some similar traits through our reactions. Like being a twin.

Then how would you measure the stress felt by the mother on the womb and establish stress as an epigenetic factor for the development for autism?.

Many do not consider it social impairments but social differences. In my group your Statement about social impairments would be considered extremely rude and ignorant …not an impairment but a difference. You start your video without even introducing yourself! And, the reason genetics are in the news so much is because there’s a lot of money …a lot of money being donated because they think they can make a lot of money off of it so, take a business class and an ethics class and wise-up. It’s not severe it’s noticeable cases. Lose more of the systemic ableism in your approach and presentation. I didn’t see if you had enough preliminary information to make such a bold statements about age of parents. Ethnocentricity comes off from your video especially when you talk about education so much that I feel you’re biased even though you’re a scientist. I think you’re a scientist you didn’t say what your area PhD. Oh the question of the polygenic score -wow- you can practically see him rubbing his hands together- gro$$. The question about nonverbal autistic people being included because that wouldn’t be OK the nonverbal -if you could figure that out for people oh what a selling point! -and it’s probably apraxia anyway you’re talking about. y’all need to retire!

If you're going to insult people's intelligence, then why did you not appear intelligent yourself by not commenting about something from the video?

Who gives a damn if you didn't go to college? If someone has the knowledge and intellect to follow along with these presentations, that's all that matters, regardless of where they learned it

@@pat8988 Because it can come across as elitist. What's interesting to me is you seem to agree with shadow and yet are still apparently confused.

@@erlonbailey8398 Elitist? Well, that was two years ago, but as I remember, I had gotten part way into the video and decided that it was way over my head. I'm not college educated. In my post, I just stated a fact. I think people are taking it all the wrong way...
