Well I've heard Robin say that they had 28 hours of him riffing to work with - and I expect they still have almost that much in the vaults. Someday, they may find a use for more of it!
there should have been a full 2 hr audio recording with accompanying genie sketches similar to Robin's stand up performances on the DVD (i wish anyways)
It was really pretty much confirmed that when Robin stepped into the recording studio, they said "Pick anything under the sheet on the table and make an impression of it", and a lot of them got used like the "Combination hookah and coffee maker! Also makes julienne fries! Will not break...will not...IT BROKE!"
Yeah, From now on: Robin Williams the Stand-Up Comedian is a Ghost Now, For he is going to Comedy Heaven for Eternity. So, We thank Robin Williams for his Sacrifice. And we also Thank Robin for all the Laughs. So, ...(Sigh) He will be Missed. U_U
@J N Morgan Just so you may find some comfort, since you don't seem to be aware, it turns out that there were amoebas in his brain. Rare and the cause of his seemingly bipolar condition. That info was released by his wife a short time ago post autopsy. So it wasn't voluntary. It was an illness by a foreign organism. Still horrible but not from despair.
@@AbbyBubbls I feel like "I'm growing kinda fond of ya, kid... not that I want to pick out curtains or anything." is a subtler and funnier way to get essentially the same joke across.
What does that even mean? Hes the only one? At some point he was just a comedian, then a comedic genius, then THE comedic genius, before finally ascending to his current position as THE comedic genius for the REST of OUR days? wat
Now imagine this: Malificient: Now you shall deal with me o prince, and all the forces of HELL!!! (Transform into a dragon) Genie: (Whistle) Becoming a dragon, unnecessary use of dragon, 500 yard penalty
+Jessica Smith Me too, he was like a father to me. My real dad was never around and neither was my mother. Robin WIlliams raised me more than they ever did by me watching his movies. Maybe we'll meet in heaven someday.
ShortFingeredShreder Unless Disney asked Warner Bros. for permission. After all, the animator who animated Genie later animated Elmer Fudd for "Looney Tunes: Back in Action"
The pity of it is, that isn't incoherent gibberish. It's just hard to understand. "What do you think, Bill?" "IthinkhegontrystayintherewithimIthinkhegothestaminaIthinkhegontryandstickthesnakebutthesnakehasgotthickscales."
Crazy how he could take one basic line & transform it into a billion different characters and different ways to say it. Such an imaginative mind. The Genie character was a character that too could transform & into anything, therefore he could transform and bend with Robin's imagination. That's why it was the perfect marriage of character & actor
When I was a kid, I didn't get a few of Robin's impressions, but I still laughed because there was something about Robin that made them funny to me. Maybe I could sense the humor in them, maybe its because the man is the most hysterical person to ever walk the Earth, but I'm sure future generations will continue to laugh thanks to the Genie. Thank you Robin, for my favorite Disney character.
*+Stormblade13* Agreed, i didnt get the jokes because i was a kid and i live in sweden, and also we didnt have a Robin but the character is so alive and full of spirit that the imprint remains strong as iron. *'Push him back! Push him back! Jafarther Jafarther'* oh man XD
One of my favorite stories about him, he went to my sister's friend's church one Sunday, and did his Genie voice for her when she asked. Seems like he was a really nice guy in reality, not just his characters. RIP.
I like Genie's impersonation of Obi-Wan Kenobi which is ironic that later on Disney would buy and own Star Wars. What a great tribute to Robin Williams he would have wanted these outtakes to be released.
@@TheLexxypawpad it makes sense, though. A man as inspirational and bright as him didn't want his voice to be used wrongfully. If you go to the disneyland in florida, there's an arcade zone where they have Genie taking you up/down the elevator. Even after all these years, I still miss the guy (a shame with the illness he had).
"Unnecessary use of reptile, 500 year penalty!" LOL. He's a legend. "Outtakes" isn't really the right word. That implies it was a mistake or a deleted scene, but many of the Genie's lines especially the scenes when he meets Aladdin & does all the impressions were either ad-libs based loosely on the script or completely improvised. Disney had no idea at the time they hired him exactly how much of a gem they had in Robin Williams. He gave them *15 hours* of content, which means almost all of it is "outtakes", _and_ he did it all for scale. (Disney repaid him for that by violating the one thing he'd asked for, which was to not use his name or image for marketing.)
"Outtakes" literally just means "takes that were left out". That can be for any number of reasons, not necessarily that they were bad. And these ARE "deleted scenes", so I'm not sure why you'd take issue with that implication.
Finally someone who had actual out-takes instead of click-baiting me into a story of people telling how funny the out-takes were that they do. not. show. Srsly, thank you! And I wish they would re-release a new movie with all of 'em in it. Don't care if it takes 3 hours to watch! :D
Now they can't do that because Robin Williams' will pretty much said to Disney "DO NOT USE ROBIN WILLIAMS' AUDIO, IMAGE, AND LIKENESS UNTIL AUGUST 11, 2039!" Yep 25 years.
4:37 "Time for Jafar cheer! Gimme a B, gimme a b, gimme a b-b-b! Gimme a b-b-b-b! What's that spell?! *Raspberry* " Oh, Robin! You NEVER fail to make me laugh!!! I almost died!!!
"Push him back push him back Ja-Farther Ja-Farther" "Non violence Al!Turn that cheek,as a matter fact turn both cheeks and RUUUUUUN"These two had me laughing uncontrollably R.I.P Robin, you'll always be our favorite
This movie - and practically everything Robin touched - wouldn’t have been the same without him. His mind was overclocked and humanity was his game for just a few fast hilarious decades. We will love Robin forever - our love to his family as well.
Impression guide: 0:15 W.C. Fields 0:19 Not sure 0:23 Fred Rogers from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood 0:34 Elmer Fudd 1:08 Wolfman Jack 1:22 Elvis 1:28 Richard Nixon 1:32 Ventriloquist Señor Wences and his hand puppet Johnny 2:05 John Wayne 2:34 Bing Crosby 4:03 Edward G. Whenever Robin Williams talked about the outtakes, the director had to tell him, “Mr. Williams, this is Disney. The mice don’t have genitals.” There may be outtakes that Disney will never release because the jokes are a little too blue.
0:33 - 0:37: Little known fact, because of the Genie's Fast-paced Animation, Warner Bros hired Eric Goldberg to Animate Elmer Fudd for "Looney Tunes: Back in Action".
Watching this is both uplifting and joyous AND at the same time, gut wrenching and heart breaking. We miss you and love you Robin. Godspeed amongst the stars.
What Can I Say, Robin Williams the American Stand-Up Comedian is in a Better Place with Eartha Kitt the Female American Stand-Up Comedian. Because Eartha Kitt was the Best Voice Actor of Yzma from Disney The Emperor's New Groove the Movie. So Robin and Eartha will Both be Missed. And Thank Those Two for all the Laughs. U_U
This is why the live action movie will never amount as much as the animated movie. It doesn't have the spark of imagination and comedy brought about by Robin's comedy and creativity.
Robin William's is amazing and all, but I just can't help but notice how amazingly drawn these animatics are~ perfectly gives justice to how expressive Robin is with his improv xD
LOL, I can see why they didn't go with the Elmer Fudd-variation at 0:35: Why risk a potential Warner Brothers lawsuit? But this *definitely* speaks to the incredible talents of Robin Williams, that he could do the line using so many interpretations and/or impressions from which to pick!
I think it was mostly because Robin flubbed the word "three" (he said it more like "thwee") just before going into the Fudd impersonation, so he was essentially playing off of his mistake. The speed at which he catches his mistake and works off of it speaks volumes of his mastery of improv.
I've heard that Warner Bros were actually impressed and flattered so much that they actually got Eric Goldberg to do Looney Tunes Back In Action as the Animation Director.
4:55Seriously, No matter how many times I loop it, I can't understand a word he's saying because I just can't stop laughing or trying not to laugh. I really wanna know what he's saying, but I just can't help myself from laughing. But whatever he said, I'm with him 100%.
`Give me a b give me a b give me a bbbbbbbb what`s that spel?` (Blows Rasbery). Push him back push him back Jafarther jafarther. LOL. Why went these in the final cut?
If Genie did a Hank Hill impression for the scene where he introduces himself to Aladdin, I think it'd go like this: "Ah'm the Genie of the Lamp. Ah sell wishes and wish accessories."
1:40 THIS. This is what the made Genie the iconic character. Robin Williams knew, he knew that. It wasn't just some funny famous celebrity that made the Genie, it was the warmth of the heart that Robin breathed into that touched the hearts of us all.
I just love and miss that comedian of an actor. Time for Jafar cheer! Give me a b, give me a b, give me a b, give me a b, b, b, b, b! What's that spell? *raspberry* Gotta love Robin Williams! You greatly missed Robin. F.R.I.P.
You know, a top quality disney movie is a thing you can put in theaters and make big cash, but a genuine comedian goofing around while a talented artist draws a small handful of drawings to go with it... is something I wish we could see more often, it's a pretty legit product in its own right. If someone could make that into a regular internet show, I think we'd all watch. Get that fat youtube money.
+Mario Hiccup Witwicky Push him back, push him back, Ja-FARTHER, Ja-FARTHER! Push him back, push him back, Ja-FARTHER, Ja-FARTHER! XD Best outtake I've seen from Genie! XD
5:34 "I think the man got good reach advantage, I think he's gonna have a big, uh, tongue advantage, he got that whippin' tongue that can come at him real quick" Oh my GOD I rolled when I first heard this.
I saw the Genie and Al hugging while I was on Twitter. The day Robin died after I heard the news. I broke down and cried for a good while. It broke me. I miss Robin still. I wish things had played out differently for him.
I wish some of these deleted scenes stayed in the film, but not all of them because I think it would have be too much. I wish they kept the Jedi part in and the "push him back" cheerleader scene.
The whole world lost a friend when Robin died. I never felt much when a celebrity left the world, but I did when he left. He overflowed with joy, but didn't keep enough for himself.
