Part of the reason why this video exists is because I've seen many claim the Traveler can be Akivili, the Aeon of Trailblaze. The amount of lore and power scaling one has to ignore to even come to such a conclusion is simply baffling. As such, this video now exists to explain difference between an Aeon and an Archon. And also why it is simply impossible for the Traveler (assuming they are an Aeon, or even an Emanator) to be sealed and defeated by a god of Teyvat.

*Aeons in a nutshell:* Qlipoth's gargantuan size is enough to smash multiple planets with it's hammer, Fuli's arrival is enough to crystalize nearby planets in it's vicinity, Lan the weakest Aeon so far was able to wipe out a massive Borisin fleet that is attacking the Xianzhou with a single shot from it's bow, Aha casually blows up a planet to get a reaction from Akivili, but of course the most terrifying Aeon for me is Tazzyronth, it's offsprings can multiply so fast that it can overtake planets. One famous example of Tazzyronth's Swarm being scary, is the fall of the Glamoth Empire, it was almost overran by the Swarm, they were able to stop the countless waves of insects with the creation of the Molten knight. Though dangerous, Tazzyronth's story ess a tragic one, a lone insect who wanted company so much it became an Aeon.

In HSR humans have bombs that can blow 24 planets in one go (chadwick story) , and those bombs are not a threta to Aeons, they just plan to use them against their armys not the Aeon itself, like... yeha archons are flys to Aeons

Archons are a bit similar to Emanator of Aeons. They’re individual who’ve been granted permission to have a tiny fraction of their Aeon’s power. Emanator alone could solo the Genshin verse.

One is a high-fantasy world and another is a sci-fi galactic society. Although the scale is different(and this is the main point of this video), the positions in their own lore would likely the same, because a planet in a sci-fi galaxy would be treated as same as a nation in a fantasy would be, especially in the lore category. I think that is what makes people confuse about them, because their “positions in its own lore” looks the same, but the two world-buildings are on the completely different scale.

The best way to understand the scale of power of an Aeon is to think of your Equilibrium level. In Genshin you have World Level which can be increased when you hit Adventure Rank thresholds. In Star Rail you have something similar: Trailblaze Levels and Equilibrium level. Both of these function the same way but there is a key difference: In Genshin, World Level is not really acknowledged canonically. It is treated purely as a game mechanics. While in Star Rail, they (followers of the Aeon of Equilibrium) canonically mention that if you pass their test, their Aeon will raise the world level. Just think about this for a second: An Aeon (HooH in this case) has the ability to RE-WRITE REALITY and increase the levels of enemies and the rewards you get in order to set things equal (the canonical explanation is that you get too strong so HooH makes the enemies stronger). I hope I don't have to explain why reality manipulation on a universal scale is so much broken than whatever Archons can do. I never even thought about comparing Archons to Aeons... like its not the same tier at all. If you really want to compare Genshin with Star Rail then I guess you could think like this: Aeons = Celestia/Heavenly Principle : A higher being that is influencing the world at its core but does not appear directly and physically (until the end game) Emanators = Archons : Beings chosen by Aeons to be their agents. They receive the blessing and a fraction of the power of an Aeon to be significantly stronger than others. In my opinion and Archon is closer to an Emanator. However it is still not the same, as we know that Emanators are at least "planet destroyer" level in terms of power. And so far we haven't seen anyone being capable of destroying the planet that Teyvat is located on. Therefore you can think of Archons as "Budget Emanators" and the world of Star Rail as a world with 18 Celestias, each with their own set of "Archons".

I think the scaling in Hoyoverse is something like: Outer Gods (Ggz) > Aeons > True Herrschers >= Emanators > Herrschers > Archons But some may actually be stronger than those above them and Ggz is just at a higher scale than any other game.

I don’t know too much about Gnosticism, but from what I recall, Archons are said to preside over the physical world where Aeons are the beings that make worlds? Sophia, the Demiurge, and all that. Someone with more knowledge will have to fact check me. To look at things from a more literary standpoint, the Archons represent Ideals: Freedom, Contracts, etc. They preside over the world below. Whereas Aeons are the embodiment of a Concept: The Destruction, The Preservation, etc. They drive the movements of the cosmos, the world above.

Great breakdown. Now I'm intrigued to know where Herrschers position would be. I used to play HI3 and the way I see them is probably just equal to that of an Archon (like Herrscher of Thunder which basically equal to Raiden Shogun in Genshin), although some of them was leaning more on the conceptual side like Herrscher of Death, Finality, Human Ego.

Aeons can directly use their follower/worshiper/or simply someonw who is on their path by gazing upon them and making them an emanator; someone who can directly use/borrow the power of the Aeon of their path. Each Aeon can seem to have as many emanator as they want. So far we have witnessed a few emanators in the trailblazer's journey: Phantylia, Herta, Black Swan, and 2 we can assume to be enamators are Sunday and Acheron. (It is theorized Trailblazer is also an emanator, but one that can follow multiple paths, which is supposed to be... impossible, since lots of paths contradict the other paths: preservation and destruction). We know of more through the story line, but they have not directly shown themselves in the game or they are already dead. Even the Aeon that has supposedly have died can have followers, such as Akivili and Adrila.

If we added lore in honkai Impact and also GGZ. Aeons are like Outer gods. Herrschers are either the same level as Archon or Same level as eminators. Or even strongers in some cases. Then the Will of honkai is probably similar to Aeons.

Aeons reign over the universe and are universal level at the very least. Archons don't even reign over a planet, they reign over a country in a continet of the world they're on, in a galaxy, that's in a possibly bubble universe in the world of HI3 How do people not get that?

i think the more fitting to compare for aeons are the elemental dragon sovereigns considering how the gods of teyvat like other comments say that they more like represent an ideal and the element but the dragon sovereigns are the embodiment of those elements mainly that they are like the creator of all things in teyvat

The only reason I’d see for an aeon not winning would be that fighting the archon doesn’t align with their path. Qlipoth had to be convinced in some way to intervene during the swarm disaster, so it’s unlikely that an archon would show up on the radar of most aeons

Also, note that Aeons are once something/one that is "normal". They can be an insect, a supercomputer, a human, a drop of water, a joke, a concept, anything, then they "transcend".

Tbh, I would enlarge the gap of Pathstriders to be even less powerful than Vision holders. We have, for example, Asta who is a follower of Nous, and probably Qlipoth because of her family, and she isn't really powerful. Like, a lot of the playable characters are actually pretty weak in canon (QQ, Hook, Bronya, Luka, Serval, etc.). But we also have very powerful Pathstriders like Kafka who can control sentient beings, Black Swan who can do more than what has been shown to us, etc. That would be a fun video if you decided to do it. The canonical power scaling of characters.

Answer is clear as day. However, a good comparison for Archons would be Emanators. Although the latter varies in power (e.g., Herta vs. Lord Ravager), they still represent an ideal as much as Archons do, though not as quintessential.

That means trailblazer our MC after receiving the flaming lance that was originally given to Belobog by Qlipoth, he/she became the emanator of preservation? Because she/he had the influence on Jaliro-VI after Stelarron incident and she/he "receive" gift from Qlipoth in form of Flaming lance.

I think Aha will just sit back eat some popcorn with Xi as the fireworks of Archon's and Aeons duke it out. And only they will survive.

We have to remember that Archon is a title given by Celestia while Eons are beings that have transcended to a higher level of existence, so the comparison is simply not equivalent. Perhaps the Primordial One who was able to fight 8 Dragon Sovereigns and terraformed all of Teyvat is on a similar level, but any other being below him I doubt.
