Just a quick tip for anyone struggling to beat bosses or domains, change your signature to something like “need help beating oceanid” and usually higher ar players that are bored will try to join your world to help you out. That’s how I was able to ascend some of my hydro characters because I struggle with that boss, plus I’ve actually made some in game friends from doing that.
This is the best and most easily digestible Genshin guide out there for beginners. A lot of "beginner" guides spout jargon terms from the game and you feel lost instead of being guided. Thanks for this guide.
Update. AR 56 and first time 36 starring the previous abyss. Consistently 36 starring the abyss now. I cannot reiterate enough how enjoyable the game became because of this guide.
A tip my wife and I use for the exp books. Use the + button with the purple books until it says max, then minus one book. Then use the Blue and Green books to finish off the exp needed for the final level. This saves you from wasting nearly an entire Purple when a Blue or Green will suffice.
I still don’t understand why I should save purple books, if I want to level a character to let’s say 40 and need 100,000 xp, 4 purple books or however many blue books needed to level up doesn’t make a difference and wouldn’t in terms of “hoarding” them. Isn’t the tip he mentioned basically to conserve xp rather then saving the purple books?
Great guide as always. These are some things I wish I knew.... DO use the characters you like. Lots of people will say who is "good" or "bad". In the overworld just about everything works, so don't sweat it. A properly levelled team of 4 is better than just making sure you have e.g., Hu Tao because she's "the best Pyro DPS in the game", especially if you don't like e.g., Hu Tao's play style. If you play characters whose style you like or personality you like, you'll enjoy the game a lot more. Do the quests first. Inazuma and Sumeru reward you for doing story first. In fact, some of the world is not unlocked until you do quests for example: Tsurumi island, Seirai island, Tatarigami Reactor, the desert in Sumeru, old varanara in Sumeru. Some areas are simly inaccessible or too dangerous without doing the quests first. DO take the time to find all the oculi and trade them into the statute. DO the reputation quests and bounties for each region. You get cool perks like the treasure compass for that region, or the oculus finder for that region. DO take your time and enjoy the scenery and the music. This game is huge and beautiful, and take some time to just admire the art and the music. "Every journey has it's final day. Don't rush". DO NOT just level everyone you have. I've been playing for a year, and it has taken a year of regular playing to get my like 40 characters to level 80, with a level 80 weapon each, with level 6 talents. I only have like 10 artefact sets and I just share them. If you never use a character, don't bother levelling them. Trust me, it's not a good use of your resources. DO NOT bother using primogems to wish on the permanent banner. Always wish on the featured banner IF it has a character you want. You have the best chance of getting 5* characters that way. Wish on the permanent banner with acquaint fates to your heart's delight. DO NOT use 4* or 5* weapons to level other 4* or 5* weapons, except for refinements. OMFG, I wish I hadn't because it's tedious to wish for weapons or build another. It's not HARD... just super tedious. It takes hours. DO NOT use 5* artefacts to level artefacts. Save them for the artefact strongbox. It beats grinding artefact domains. DO NOT just grind Adventure Rank. Let it happen naturally. It will push your world level higher and higher and you won't be able to keep up unless you keep your characters at the current level.
Ik I'm pretty late, but...idk what the hell I'm doing most of the time. I just go around finding those anemocolus/geocolus thingies and just run around like a headless chicken. What should I be doing? I just started 3 days ago and finished the mondstat storyline, but my friend tells me to just keep exploring, but idk what the heck that means...should I be searching for waypoints, follow those blue ghost thingies, fight hiluchurls or just keep doing story quests? I'm ar21 atm
Thank you, bro. I just started 2 weeks ago and messed up a little with my resources. All I can say is what you made here is not a guide but a gracious act of generosity for newbies in the game. You've explained game jargons in lay man's terms and are comprehensive. More power. :)
Watching this as I'm downloading the game on my way to start this new adventure (hopefully) without spending any money This really helps, thank you so much!
My pleasure! I'm glad this helps :) Just remember you'll probably feel like you want to spend on the game, especially if you hit a wall around AR 30 or so--but you don't need to at all! Feel free to ask me questions if you're having any trouble
@@raify6381 Great question! Unfortunately I quit the game pretty early on, trying to focus on a different kind of content for a bit, but will hopefully come back to it once I can do that on the channel!
This is a great video! One thing I would recommend differently though is that once you have decided you do want to level a character (remember be careful about deciding which one to level), use the 3 star purple books first rather than saving them for last. And never use up all of your 2 star and especially 1 star level mats. But instead of using the 3 star last book to level cap, use books of smaller increment so you save xp. Each star book is worth a certain amount of xp and any over the cap gets wasted so you want to save your smaller books to fill in the gaps and waste less books. For weapons it doesn't really matter what you use first since unused xp gets refunded.
Be aware that -- at least according to some streamer testing -- leveled weapons will confer about 80% or 85% (can't remember which) of their EXP value into leveling another weapon. So if you realize you've leveled a weapon you don't want to use, it's not a complete loss. I'm not sure if they confer their EXP if they were used for duplicates to refine a weapon, though. I wouldn't refine a weapon unless you plan to use it and its bonus ability is valuable to your character/party.
This can be arranged. Someone actually donated for me to do this already xD You can listen to it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tckFHR-Hubk.html
weird tip: don't level up your world level until you are ready! It's okay to stay at a lower world level until your characters are built well enough to take on the harder bosses. I made the huge mistake of levelling up my world level to 1 with a team that's level 8-12 and I struggled with every single enemy I encountered for a very very long time. My only source of exp books were from chests where you didn't have to fight enemies and I couldn't progress in any quest as long as it required some form of boss fight. It didn't help that I was completely unaware that you could level artifacts to boost stats and basically fed my characters food whenever I absolutely needed them to fight. It took me about a month to finally be able to handle the bosses at the world level and every day before then was pure misery. I bet my characters have developed digestion problems from being full all the time. (I also didn't pull on the beginner banner but I honestly should've since it will give me at least a 3 star weapon and make me realize you can level them up) Gosh how I wish I watched a video like this
"It depends" because if you hold the world level down far too long, you'll have the world level increase by two instead of one after ascension quests which can be equally unpleasant. If you know the world level increase of two will happen, you'll want to research your characters and weapons to stockpile all the materials and Mora needed to upgrade immediately after the adventure rank increases. (Recall you can up-convert materials at the crafting bench.) You can also claw your way out of a hole using the main character (who gets ascension and constellation materials from the story as well as the 4* Prototype Rancour sword from adventure rank rewards). I've thankfully followed guides like this one and others and the difficulty increase was minimal doing ascension quests the moment they're available. (I'm AR45/World level 6) ... except Oceanid will wipe my party with the birds because I'm 100% melee. I'm preparing Oz (which comes with a complementary Fischl) to deal with that later on.
@@513Blacklion World level is governed by adventure rank (and adventure EXP) and completing Ascension Quests. Every ascension quest is the same: You go to a domain and complete what's basically a mini dungeon with different enemies to defeat. You need an ascension quest to go from world levels 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 6-7. All the other ones (e.g. 2 to 3, 4 to 5) will happen when your adventure EXP gets high enough, which is what catches players off-guard if they end up at the higher world level without having built up enough gear to survive the higher level enemies.
I accidentally did my world rank quest at 26, by clicking the wrong thing in a domain. Now I just hit 30 and there's level 50 dudes coming after me during the main quest.. I can level to deal with them, but it definitely means putting more resources into characters I'm hoping to phase out.
@@maevethefox5912I just went into the lubua pool domain with a level 50 team, one was level 48, which ended up being a a 3 way fight with two ruin sentinels and one of the sentinels that flies all at once while being level 60. Those rewards sure looked nice but I wasted so much food before I realized I couldn't do it 😢
Great guide. Just a single disagreement: you suggest holding back using the purple books and mystic ore to level up until later, but aside from general resource management, the order different levels of experience granting resources are applied doesn't matter because the amount of experience applied is a standard set value. From there it is simple math... The order the numbers are added together doesn't matter, you always end up with the same total in the end.
okay im still deciding on whether to play genshin or not but man i love how you have replied to every comment and that too meaningful replies love the dedication!
Just started the game and already loving it! (Pulled an all nighter the first day I played and got to AR11 AND pulled kexing on the 10 free pulls I got so I'm blessed for sure!) And learned a LOT from this guide! Ty sir and keep up the great work!
Amazing guide which helped me a lot in the past few first days of the game. Thank you so much for not using the pro jargon, so we newbies can understand it! :)
Started at the end of 3.3 and having a blast. Been wanting to play this game for years but never had a way to (got a PS5 around Black Friday). I'm AR 46 now and got my team of Hu Tao, Noelle, Layla and Xingqiu. They're damn near unstoppable. I've been watching your vids in passing, but as I'm watching this, I see I still need to break the habit of wishing on the standard banner 😅 either way, this is a really helpful vid my dude. Thank you
This guide is very detailed and accurately put together. When I started to play, I knew nothing about these kind of games. No previous JRPG or gacha experience. I've learned the game extensively for a few months to get to the point where I could say I knew most of the things I need to know. However, if I'd stumble upon the guide like this I'd probably quit back then. Because what I really need is to lean how to have fun in the game. This guide, while being helpful and everything, makes the game seem like another labor instead of fun way to spend your time.
i was feeling the same thing and im also ar25! did you find that it continued to help you to keep at least one long-ranged leveled? rn i only have amber and im desperately trying to avoid using my stuff on her lmao
@@rileysie omg this comment haha. i’m at 56 now. and yes, one of my favourite characters is yoimiya, who has great range as an archer. range can be incredibly valuable when you’re dealing with bosses such as the thunder manifestation on seirai island, but you’re currently ar 25 so that will take a while. i’d say it’s useful to build someone like ningguang or yanfei when you get them, because they can do good damage and provide you with easier ways of dealing with annoying bosses. the game becomes a lot easier over time, so don’t worry and enjoy the ride! genshin is incredibly fun
@@sharkh3art after 15 rerolled accounts, I got Beidou, Bennett, favonius lance and eye of perception in first 16 rolls (along with the noelle you always get). Im finally ready to really start! (Please forgive typos, im new to the game)
I messed up on my main and tried to build up too many characters at a time. You honestly helped me get back on track back then and this helps with my side accounts as well so I don't do the same thing xD 💙💙💙
I'm leveling up all like 12 I'm taking the game super slow. I don't want to finish the game quickly because all veterans of the game regret not taking their time and enjoying the gameplay
A truly nice and helpful video, a really good summary with just the important tips (I played for more than a month and yet discovered countless interesting tips)! Keep what you are doing, you are doing it great :]
I feel many of these tips are theoretically optimal, but practically leads to burnout, such as conserving mats/resin, not using stardust on drops, and chores like daily checkin. It's not that you're wrong to talk about these, and it's nice to know the more efficient options that are out there, but it's just, as players we all need to gauge how much are we willing to sacrifice in terms of real life time or short-term/earlygame fun for in-game/long-term benefits. After all, this is a game, and it's ultimately about how much fun you're having out of it. Thus the worst mistake a player could make IMO -- maybe except from blowing all your gems on the standard banner -- would be getting intimadated, stressed, or burnt out and quit before you finish the story and see how truly great a game genshin is. Because then you miss out on all the fun you could've had. So if I could add just one tip on top of all this, it would be to manage your stress at an level you can take, and don't feel too bad about the mistakes you made or things you've missed, as new content and events are frequently released, you will get more resins to progress, and gems and banner reruns to pull that character you've missed. drop some of the chores if it starts to feel too much. Oh and you forgot to mention for every new character you get a fate when you upgrade them to their first star, which is pretty cheap to do after you're like AR30 and worth it IMO.
@@n.8224 Yes I got Qiqi in the beginner banner. Then on the second summon on Ganyu banner I got Mona, then on the fourth summon I got Ganyu. On the Zhongli banner I lost the 50/50 and got Jean, then got Zhongli in another 12 summons. The second Mona came on the standard banner, at my pity I believe I was unlucky but also very lucky at the same time
Glad to hear it! It was WAY longer initially...this is the cut down version. Please use the timestamps to find specific things! If you have questions don't hesitate to ask as well :)
I started a week ago- for some reason, I don't know why- but it is definitely a confusing game. I do have a couple of friends that play the game though, thankfully :D I managed to roll for beidou, xianling, bennet and a few others on the beginners banner.
My ar14 account has Kamisato Ayaka,Sangonomiya Kokomi,Nahida,Razor,Xiangling c1,Xingqiu,Fischl c3 ,Bennett,Noelle c1,Diona,Sucrose,Rosaria,Yanfei,Thoma,Sayu c2 and Dori c1. Please recommend me some team comps and also recommend me the characters i should pull for next.
idk If you (or anyone) will see this but I'm constantly switching my team out because I can't decide on who I want. As of right now my entire roster consists of: Yanfei, Fischl, Barbera, Noelle, Xiangling, Diona, Amber, Jean, Ningguang, Rosaria, Kaeya, Lisa, Beidou, Kirara, Bennett and Xinyan. Any time I look up any sort of guide or help it's always geared towards late/end game stuff and whenever I look up leveling guides I get contradicting info, saying play whoever you want but then I need to only focus on one or two characters yet doing so will mean I'm potentially wasting resources if I've leveled up a generally poor character. Out of the characters I have, who would you focus on, I'm using Yanfei as my main and using Fischl to get procs, Barb for healing and Noelle for shield.
Thanks for giving a lot of information in a simple way without screaming & irritating...😆...I've downloaded this game a week ago & I'm at ar 25....so I needed some info & I've got alot from your video...thank you ☺...but just to make sure I wanna ask u which banner is good...character event or standard ? Coz I did not get any character from any banner so plz suggest...
The Limited Character event banner is the best for anyone who is starting out--however this current banner may not be the best as you have to go to Inazuma to get Itto's materials. I'd suggest saving you primogems for patch 2.4 in a few weeks and going for Xiao (first half of 2.4) or Ganyu (Second half of 2.4). Ganyu was in another vid I made about the 4 most OP characters in Genshin. You don't want to use primogems on the Standard banner b/c it will always be around, and you will slowly but surely acquire the Acquiant fates used to wish on the banner as you play the game. The standard Banner also only has the "Standard" 5 star characters and weapons, and unlike the Limited Banners, there is no way to guarantee getting a Specific 5 Star or special limited character.
Xiangling on her own isn't really that broken on her own (nor XQ). What makes her broken is putting her in the same team as Bennett and XQ. Snapshot + constant hydro application + Pyronado = Big numbers (and Bennett to help in recharge). And her BiS weapon is completely farmable for free... by fishing! Add in a properly equipped Sucrose and you get bonkers DPS. Oh and XL @ C4 too. It's such that I benched Diluc (my first 5*) right away after I drew him; I have no reason to build him at all. Ok, maybe at a later date for another team. Meanwhile Bennett is broken in any team you put him in.
...pyronado is broken with ANY character that can thrown an element with their normal attack, wtf are you talking about? i can kill the two mondstat weekly elite world bosses in seconds at ar29 with just lisa and barbara at lv 40-50 with jank lv 30 4 star weapons just trading normal attacks... and then throw xingling's pyronado into the rotation and all my resin is gone in less than five minutes and in DROWNING in ascention items and artifacts ive snapped the blue dragon's claws in 5 seconds and killed it in under a minute lmao this game is insanely easy. all it is is just a way to chill, explore a gorgeous world, watch digital t!ts and a$$ bounce around, and for mihoyo to seperate whales' money from their wallets.
@@aa-tx7th wow dude. Calm down. At ar29 you haven't seen anything yet. The game only starts to get hard at world level 5. And if you go to 6 at ar45 you'll probably want to cry. Best advice, don't do the world level upgrade quest and play on world lvl 5 untill it becomes too easy for you.
Thanks for the video. I'm glad I didn't upgrade much or wished like crazy (got Noelle). I just started the game a couple days ago and now that I've explored a bit and got used to the world (rank 8, lvl 15), I'm ready to start managing properly. I plan to remain F2P. I'm playing on a PS4, so how do I claim the daily log in rewards? If I try to claim it from a browser it says I don't own any characters. Did I miss a step? Do I need to bind an e-mail in-game?
I think you have to log into the hoyolab directly and possibly link your PS$ account. The login spot should be on in the upper right (it will be a grayed-out silhouette if you aren't logged in). Here's the link: www.hoyolab.com/article/217256
my tip is: dont mind opening chests. lots of people say its better to open them and explore when youre already world lvl8, but honestly, most of what you get there wont be too useful in late game. its way more useful when youre early gaming, needing artifacts and talent books im f2p, ar58 and i never regretted getting some chests in my early game
I did not even know there was a puzzle that you need to solve to go to the musk reef i just glide all the way there because i dont know the orb teleport you to musk reef
Thank you a lot for taking the time to do videos like this !! I just discovered your channel and i regret not watching your content sooner :') i'm really new to genshin (i've been playing for like 2-3 weeks) but also to video games in general, and i had the pleasure to discover that i suck at fighting. i find it reaally stressful and so i end up punching everything without thinking which well doesn't really work. i really like the story and open world, but i definitely could do without the fighting, so so far i've been focusing on doing quests and discovering the world, but my AR and the level of the monsters leveled up and now i struggle to level my characters :'))) i definitely could use advices, especially regarding team composition. I mostly use Kaeya, Beidou and Noelle (my lord and savior) but well it's a struggling team, especially since i don't have super artifacts. So far i also have Sucrose, Kaveh, Candace, Chongyun, Dori and the free characters (not Xiangling and Collei bc the Abyss scares me but i definitely plan to get them. one day). I feel like they're all great characters and i just don't play them right tbh. I apologize for rambling so much, initially i just wanted to thank you for the video but welp
I actually like the daily log in being separate from the game. With my work schedule I dont have time to log into the game on my PC but I do have 2 minutes to check in on my phone to get free items!
Gotta say as relatively new player, just reaching adventure rank 26, I definitely messed up with dumping all my heros wit into characters I don't use or need "cough" Barbara "cough" but I was lucky enough to get kequing. Being a free to play player I know it's gonna be a insane grind to get more/better characters but I love the game and I'm here for it
AR 16. Noticed pretty quickly the main character won't be my main. Shooting fire arrows at enemies at a distance and weak spots is great. And popping that fire with frost does heavy damage and doesn't throw enemies around as lightning does. Got qiqi in my first beginner wish I have her on my boss kill team so I don't have to waste food and I get the elemental bonus for having 2 frost players on my team. So far having a blast with the game. Doesn't feel PTW just yet.
Man I am so confused.. All the beginner guides say dont blow you resources, make sure you spend them on your main.. like these mains.. But I dont have any of those characters.. So what do I do? Play with other characters until i get good ones? Do I level up the characters I have until I get the ones I want? But then what about the resources that everyone says not to waste.. am I wasting them? Is there a beginner video that actually starts at how we are even supposed to used this 4 person team mechanic? Like I get partially why we are swapping but are there passive things happening? Are the characters not on screen granting my team benefits while they are off screen? Ever beginner video I watch makes me more and more confused.
One thing most videos fail to mention is many tips and tricks are not actually available for beginners. There should be emphasis on you when you can start serious farming and domain stuff. I’m ar18 right now and literally can not take advantage of any tips or have many characters.
Ik I'm super late here but I've basically been focusing on leveling up swords and weapons mainly so I can ascend them. That's pretty much my no. 1 priority besides getting some of the better characters. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything really wrong yet, since the only bosses I've really come across that are hard are the higher-level ruin guards or the huge geo monster thing in the ruins. Currently, I'm AR 20 so I'm trying to clear Spiral Abyss floor 4 to get one of the characters you can get from there. I main Noelle rn but I'm starting to lean towards Rosaria because she attacks way faster than Noelle does.
Been a year since I played and maybe she got nerfed, but I remember Jean was pretty OP as an early main if you got lucky to pull her, DPS + CC + Healing in one was completely broken lol
kept rerolling for either jean or diluc, got insanely ridiculously lucky and got jean during reset 4 or 5. she's my only non traveller 5 star and i have LEISURE CRUISED to AR 30 and at least 8 charcaters between lv40 and 50 with her as an all around dps burst and healer with lisa and barbara trading normal attack for the constant and extreme elemental reaction damage and whoever else has the element that would make whatever im doing easier, usually rosaria or the fire panda girl from the people's choice perma event im about to try to pull for ayaka and if i get her im literally set for the rest of the game lmao it's isane how easy this gamr is to ftp. even easier if you spend for the welkin moon like i have. you could cruise without pulling any wishes just as long as you plan carefully, use your resin wisely, and keep your character and equipment levels up. thats literally it lmao.
The ore and books: it literally doesn't matter what you use, just don't waste any exp by having a character cap out in level. The amount of money is exactly the same per point of exp that each item gives, it's not like the purple give an extra bonus they just give 4x the exp to a character and cost 4x the money to use. The purple ore is 5x instead, but it's still 5x the cost. 4 green books gives exactly the same amount of exp for exactly the same cost as 1 purple book, so there is literally no reason to use one preferentially early on vs the other.
i appreciate the tip about saving experience books, but i’m finding it difficult to implement. i’m adventure rank 25 and due to get a 5 star character soon (about to hit soft pity). since that new character is very likely to be a better dps or support than my existing characters, i’ll have to work on levelling them up to almost my current ascension level, which will use up a ton of exp. the problem is that since the game is getting harder, i’m also having to keep levelling up my current four star team to match their ability. it feels like a waste to level up my current four star team knowing i’ll abandon them eventually. is this something most players go through? and is there any way around it?
It's not a waste to level any character, even if you stop using them you can always decide you wanna use them later on for something when you know more about the game and stuff, but you should always be leveling up a core of few characters until you get to the max rank and the endgame at which point you can branch out more (you can do it before too) so yeah, besides it's not just about leveling your characters, a large part of their total power comes from also leveling their weapon and talents and artifacts that have the correct main stats and set, so don't ignore any of those aspects
In some sense, yes. However, you can look at the versatile characters that you have and focus on them, since they can feature in multiple team compositions.
the way i just started the game recently and am at rank 23 feeling the exact same way like i don’t wanna level up my characters if i know i’m not gonna use them but i NEED them to be higher levels so that i can progress..
@@starrykuns oh it’s been a while since i posted that comment. i’m ar 56 now so maybe i can offer some advice. the four star team i was using back then (xiangling, xingqiu, kaeya etc) are still characters i use today, and are still worth levelling up even if they’re not going to be your priority in the future. it’s not worth hoarding exp for a future character and then struggling to fight bosses because your current characters aren’t invested enough. i used kaeya as a main dps until i got to ar 45, and he was perfectly functional since i invested in him. just choose from the characters you have now that feel fun and strong and you’ll never go wrong investing in them. most characters are pretty decent, after all, and a lot of four stars are very busted (benny, xingqiu, fischl, beidou, etc)
I played during initial launch but lost the info and never linked. So here I am a year later starting over, Thank you for the info GREAT video! Seems like Noelle, Bennett and Tomas are the hand that was dealt to this F2P account. Xianling once AR 20!!
Nice! Well you have Bennett who is considered the most OP character in the game so I think that's a pretty good hand you've been dealt :) Plus he and Xinagling are great together!
@@sharkh3art when I saw you named Bennett a good character I was extremely happy! Unfortunately I saw this video a day after I decided to ascend all three of my 4 stars to 40. But will be frugal from now on with materials. Glad I found your channel.
@@DM-xw4um Well it's not the end of the world, just focus on one character first (get their weapon and talents maxed, then increase their level a bit. Then focus on the other characters on your team. Once you can get characters to 60+ just keep your supporting characters at level 60/61. That will be enough to do pretty much everything if you are still thin on resources.
@@sharkh3art Thanks! I now have Diona, Bennett, Xianling, Noelle. so I guess Xianling will be my focus or do you recommend someone else on of the four I have?
I was naive about weapon system in early game and wasted around 60 wishes unnecessarily until a coop player told me about the 4 star weapons being acquirable and advised me not to waste wishes on weapons until I actually wanted one for a specific character to be built
Helpful video. I am a semi new player & I learnt a little from your video! I've mostly been doing things right. Besides this one time where I increased my world level by accident when I wasn't ready. Long story short is I was high doing random things and ended up accidently going to the place you had to clear to increase the world level. I was trying to avoid that. I even made warning marks on my map to remind my stoned self NOT to do it.... But I did... lol But I am Adventure rank 5 & world level 45, with multiple 5 stars & my main team averages around level 75 with some 5 star items leveled to at least 8 some 16. a few max. Also most of my weapons are level 70 One 5 star, everything else 4 star. I mostly use Diluc & Lisa with Qiqi & the next character I swap pending situation.
i remember when i quit a year and a half after the game came out, doing all the weekly bosses (back then there was only 2, then 3 when the childe fight came out) for a year and a half and got 1 prototype, so it kinda triggered me when you said "i don't have them on double digits" i'm returning now hopefuly i don't get as unlucky as back then. More because of so many events that i missed. Mihoyo make events rerun please like in star rail.
All guides tell me to focus on one main dps - however, what is the best choice at the very start? when should I switch to a new main dps? What should I look at?
“Don’t level all the characters simultaneously” me who levelled all characters simultaneously 👁👄👁but it’s fine I’m still new to the game and got the traveler lvl 40 the rest are 40 30 and 20 so I don’t think it’s that bad but yea I’ll stop doing that 😂😂😂and btw the traveler ain’t that bad tbh if you level it up and Noel is pretty good at mining and attacks so idk why ppl say both are bad
yeah I made the same mistake xD The traveler isn't bad but ends up having pretty glaring weaknesses in pretty much all of their forms that become more apparent later on. Noelle is very good but can't generate her own energy which is a big problem. I've still used her to clear multiple floor 11 & 12 abyss runs, though.
I disagree on the XP books. The purple book and the red book can be farm with the blue lines. The white books are only in chests at the beginning. You can buy them at teapot shop. So, for optimisation, use the purple to add xp just before attending the max level, then the reds, then the whites. For the last
Been playing the game since it dropped. Only things I desire now is raising world level, character level, talents and weapon levels. Mobs don't live long with my main 3 toons in my party. I play and 2 of my teenagers play.
....When you're 7 minutes in the video thinking "Why aren't early characters being featured more for starters since those that are suggested/featured - except Xiangling - are ones you have to pull for?" ...and then realize you ARE a veteran player. 😳😖*covers face* It's almost embarrassing 😅 but not in a bad way. It's just weird that I've actually gotten so deep into a game and stuck with it for so LONG - since launch, I think - because that's never happened before. I'm usually out of a game by Level 20, especially when playing alone, but not with Genshin. It's fun when I do play with others, but I can get more done and relax when I'm by myself. 😊😄
Yep! Xianling is a really good pyro dps becuase of her elemental burst. You can run her on the opposite side of your Hu Tao team in the abyss and generally get very good results. Sucrose is really good because of the Viridescent Veneerer Set and because she can swirl with her auto attacks to enable the VV Set bonus very frequently.
I've been playing this game for months and I'm just finding out about some of the thing you've mentioned. A daily check-in??? Excuse me?! So yea, I'm definitely joining the discord when I get the chance
Whats your opinion, i am AR 10, i have the characters: - Traveler (LV 20) - Ningguang (Wish) - Bennett (Wish) - Barbara (Wish) - Kaeya (Story) - Amber (Story) - Noelle (Wish) - Lisa (Story) My question: Which character should i build up now? I thought maybe Ningguang?
100% Bennett. He is considered the most op character in the game. Really good as a healer, buffer, energy battery ,and dps simultaneously. Basically invest in him first and use him on pretty much every team. If you like ninguang you can use her too, just know that Geo doesn't do as much damage as others because they can make damaging reactions. However, if you like Ninguang she is good, and you can pair her with the Geo traveler. A party you could use could be Ninguang, Geo Traveler, Bennett, and Xinagling (who you can get for free). If you don't really like Ninguang then just focus everything on Bennett as he is THAT good :)
I just started playing last month- not a serious gamer, just a working mom that used to enjoy playing games-However Have not found a game I truly enjoyed since KH3. I’ve been so into Genshin and was completely lost in what I should and should not be doing. This video has helped a lot & has been the only one to mention the web only daily check in. Thanks for a great video ❤
It looks me 150+ pulls to get my first 5*, and it wasnt even on the banner I was pulling on. It was literally from the standard banner, Mona, even though I was doing the current Shenhe banner.. so I guess after another 150 pulls I'll get whatever banner feature is up? I'm honestly okay with that because Shenhe and that other character are both ice characters and I've already gotten 4 ice characters and even a double of one or two of them. I literally keep getting ice and electric chars. I got Rosaria and have been using her but that was before I realized you need to get constellation items from wishes so that I basically wasted resources.. then again I guess that's true for all of them aside from the traveler. I can't say im a fan of gacha games but this one is honestly decent. You can grind for them it will just take a lot of work and dedication daily, but what makes me cool with this game was it was entirely free for playstation. Idk if it was always like this but such a beautiful and huge game being free aside from the optional gacha mechanics is pretty amazing.
I used to play at launch and quit because my console broke and now that I am coming back I am insanely lost. There are double the characters now than when I played last
Yeah there's a lot more now than around launch that's for sure :) But most of the best characters like Bennett, Xiangling, and Xingqiu have yet to be powercrept.
