Yea that's usually the case, Raiden's part II dropped some answers and questions aswell, and the last maps of Sumeru and Inazuma both dropped massive lore.
Inazuma only has 2 while Sumeru has 5. Lol. That's why they drop more lore in Sumeru. But that pretty much explains the entire history of Inazuma and explains Istaroth's power. Inazuma has experienced the apocalypse once. But, after exiting Makoto's realm, she (Ei) saw a Sakura tree had grown out of nowhere. And now it has been answered that Ei herself planted the tree in front of Traveler and Raiden Shogun. Because Istaroth sent Ei to a parallel world from Inazuma. And the tree seed was sent to the past. Makoto's realm is in another time and place. This proves that Ei and Makoto are related to Istaroth. And you should know Ei principe. "Eternity is the closest to Heavenly Principle". Why did Istaroth help Ei? This is still an unanswered mystery.
@@arachnidiruma1116 Istaroth help Makoto to send Ei to the past. That statue may Yae statue. With wind symbol (Makoto's symbol). Because Fujin in Japanese belief, Fujin is God of wind and storm.
In the Byakuyakoku Collection there is a chapter (I think it's the fourth one) where they say that the people of Enkanomia fear that the Hydro Sovereign will be born in a human form. So the moment I heard of Kokomi's constellation I was like, wait what?! This seems to coincidental for me.
Could be me Mandela effecting myself but I also believe there's a legend or record stating that the Hydro Sovereign said he WOULD reincarnate too, while this could be someone we meet during Fontaine could be interesting for it to be Kokomi
in my opinion, i think kokomi (if she really is the hydro dragon sovereign) doesnt have a dragon form. she will remain human as it was stated the dragon will be reincarnated as a human. but her powers might come and potentially be unlocked in a future story. probably inazuma expansion or enkanomiya saga. + i think the creature that has a closest relation to the hydro dragon would be osial and beisht. they may came from the same race that was created by the hydro dragon sovereign
@@cokeislyf5753 kokomi is that useless pokemon goldfish and she will soon be gyarados Edit: so my comment didnt age that well with sumeru release and all... anyway
even before the confirmation that theory has been suck anyway since the sleeping dragon for kokomi’s constellation was a direct reference to zhuge liang since they both connected to military.
@@akarireiAlso, another reason could be that kokomi was a descendent (?) of orobashi the electro dragon that Raiden killed and hence the war between watatsumi and the rest of the inazuma ruled by raiden.
@@parko1130 i mean u can theorize whatever u want if she’s a descendant of orobashi or not since he did care for enkanomiya but her constellation literally just means that, a direct reference to zhuge liang.
@@horatioprout429 When you check Neuvillette’s profile in the character archive, it literally says ‘Hydro Dragon Authority’ or something along the lines of that. He doesn’t use a vision. You also can’t spot him using a vision anywhere on his avatar.
nahida is the smallest archon but she has the largest nation, largest dragon, largest ult width, largest weekly boss (scaramouche) and basically has a connection to all of teyvat thru irminsul. yet Apep being the dendro dragon sovereign mocking nahida just gives me goosebumps. like the dragon knows it's so much more than what nahida could be, it despises gods and humans as they were the creation of phanes.
To be fair, other dragon is quite large but Mihoyo just reduce their size, except Dvalin, he's already small to begin with. But Azdaha for example, his real size in lore is equal to the size of mountain or even larger than that, possibly even larger than Osial. Even by moving a bit, he would cause a large earthquake. One of reason why Eastern side of liyue has a broken geography.
@@justanordinaryguy._.7399 That tree is Azhdaha's tail, if we can scale the size, you'll get the gist of its true size.. not to mention Guoba before shrinked sat on Azhdaha's shoulder
They are delusional. A simple google search would have shown minsleif that kokomi constellation is a reference to Zhuge Liang. She has no other motifs that can be related to a dragon. Her simps are so dumb
@@silverX3870well the original hydro dragon sovereign is also dead neuvillette said so himself so perhaps all of the dragon’s successors are in hiding to avoid celestial wrath?
You know what I'm sad about? When they said there's an elemental being in chasm, I was expecting it to be that huge mushroom. Because it was already hinted that it came from Sumeru and I remember it talking about its family and etc. So I was surprised that there was instead a random geo mushroom there. The Elemental beings kept talking about how they adapted to better suit their surrounding and that their bodies change as time passed by. So when it was mentioned that one of them went to the chasm to transform the forbidden knowledge into a more stable form. All those conversations made me think about the giant mushroom. I was a little disappointed that it turned out that's not the mushroom we're looking for.
oh you're right! i thought sheeshroom (the giant mushroom in chasm) will have an important role when sumeru will be released, but now it was never mentioned again (not that im aware of any other quest involving it)
At this point I am so hyped with what we’ll see or hear from Liben about Fontaine and how that archon story will unfold as the Pari in this version mentioned the loch folks. Also is it true that the underground Gate that’s called the Gate of Everlasting Mourning actually gate to Khaenri’ah?? Or is it related to Deshret’s past?
The description of it's viewpoint says it's a sealed gateway to Khaenri'ah iirc. Also, since Liben mentioned Fontaine last time, we could finally get some Natlan info!
The Pari are literally a species related to the Oceanids seeing as the Vourukasha Oasis, their source, is itself the remains of the former Hydro Archon who died there and was held in place from dissipating by Rukkhadevata's Harvisptokhm and eventually transformed into the Amrita water we see today.
@@ForteFaiey the world quest uses different names for the gods, just like Deshret other alias is Amun, but yeah the previous Hydro Archon died in there
@@ForteFaiey I realized it when the Oceanid from Springvale, the 'fairy' that the old man near the pool there is a simp of, resembles the Pari in appearance.
Kokomi sleeping dragon is probably a red herring. Because is a reference to Zhuge liang, a great strategist of the three kingdoms era who worked for the kingdom of Shu. She is a great strategist and a genius in the art of war, so that's why she share the nick with him.
Apep being the dragon sovereign of Dendro element is something I've always thought it to be... I mean the minute he said that he was alive ever since the very beginning and saw the apocalypse unfold, i knew he had to be one of the dragon sovereigns! Glad to get something right lmaoo
How do we know he is tho? Wouldn't Nibelung be the dendro dragon Sovereign as even Apep calls him a 'dragon king', just like how Azdaha is referred to in his lore?
If tighnari doesnt drop out of nowhere and one shot all the fatui harbingers at the end of the game while saying “its tighnaring time” i wont be satisfied
The worldquest also has big lore drops and is very cool.. We also get to see a gate to Khaenriah after doing the storyquest and returning to an underground Ruin Golem.. The lore drops basically proved the innocence of Celestia and Khaenriah, everybody was on the same side. Fighting forbidden Knowledge. We also see how Dainslief and Lumine met.
Say innocence is a bit too much khaenri'ah probably is still the cause of cataclysm they howewer pursued the power of the abyss and the entrance to khaenri'ah is litterally under tunigi hollow
This version had another bit of info hidden in the world quest, Khaenri’ah actually fought the monsters of abyss with the Sumeru folks… so I’m in splits as to what caused the cataclysm and what role does Khaenri’ah play, were they catalyst or some kind of saviour/sacrifice to end the whole thing?
@@TheHellleader exactly how said clothar control the abyss and you control everything the major part of the aristocracy wanted the power of the abyss and Irmin followed the decision of his sage meanwhile there was people like Pierro that said to Irmin that this was stupid
Sumeru is my favorite nation that has come to the game. I love how big the map is, how unique the areas are, and ESPECIALLY the lore. The amount of lore we have gotten has only made me want to continue playing. Don’t even get me started on the Gate of Everlasting Mourning. When I first came across it and realized it was a sealed off entryway to Khaenri’ah, I just about lost it. Hoyoverse is good at keeping the fandom itching for more lore.
I feel like a lot of Genshin lore theorycrafters didn't focus much on the emphasis placed on "homeland" in _Nahida's Story Quest Act II: Homecoming_ (or they're still scrambling to record that video). In _Chapter II Act IV: Requiem of the Echoing Depths_ the Sibling mentions that their original goal was "the revival of the homeland". Moreover, in _Prologue Act II: For a Tomorrow Without Tears_ an Abyss Mage mentions to the Sibling that "When your homeland returns to this world... We shall revel in its glory..." Perhaps this "homeland" was never Khaenri'ah but also an Elemental Being. Perhaps the Sibling was in Irminsul because they were also borne from an Elemental Being formed in the likeness of the Traveler.
@@ussinussinongawd516the thing is that Zhongli is a descender, because if you look at his story even after you remove rukadevada from irminsul it’s still gonna say that there are only 2 original archons now. And hoyoverse very clearly left that out since they changed some words of the text but kept the same context. So it wouldn’t be out of the question that perhaps he is the reincarnation of the geo sovereign
Some theories say that Morax is a dragon sovereign due to that fact that Genshin likes to put references to religion in the lore. And according to christianity, the earth is 6000 years old(or something like that) and Zhongli said he had been on *this world* for over 6000 years. Also ‘this world’ implies that he’s not from Teyvat but instead from something that precedes it. Also he has a huge dragon form. Random thing: if you put Aether into the wanderers name you get the same message if you put Morax. Interestingly, you get a different one if you put in Barbatos, Buer, and Baal.
Tbf, this was before fontaine, so kokomi was our best bet on the hydro sovereign, conaidering shes the preistesss ofbthw kingdom of a cicilization that used to live at the same place where the prophecy was made
When I discovered the door to Dari, abandon all hope, ye who enters here, shivers were sent down my spine. The weird fireplace that huge ass door. Woweee, wonder what's behind that door.
I thought it was crazy on what she said spoilers but would happen if she returned to a leaf got me in panic since we have the branch in our inventory 😅
Keep this in mind as you continue reading : The 7 sovereign also known as the 7 kings were once rulers of teyvat, kings of all dragons and basically the much stronger version of the 7 archons. It took the primordial one (creator of celestia), the god of time, the god of space, the god of life and the god of death teaming up together just to defeat them (still not sure if they killed the sovereign or not tho) Apep In the quest she said that "The Dragon king" was using the power of darkness to lead her and the others to take down the heavenly principal. If Apep was really one of the Sovereign then why is she calling another dragon "the king" instead of friend, brother/sister or comrade? The only logical explanation would be that she is not a Sovereign but is someone who served under one of the 7 Sovereign. ( btw Apep stated that after the death of the Dragon king, she seek vengeance on celestia and the heavenly principal but the heavenly principal stop her by dropping THE NAIL on her and it turn more than half of Sumeru into the desert we see now) Azhdaha The dude didn't even got eyes or any part of him that looks like a dragon before Morax found him, not only that he was also defeated and sealed by an already weakened, gnosis-less, no longer archon Morax...it's really saying something about him. Kokomi I don't doubt that she is a dragon but I doubt that she is a Sovereign, mainly because of the snake god Orobashi. Orobashi made his way to Enkanomia because he want to avoid the Archon war knowing that he is much weaker than Morax and Raiden, there he found a dragon who was basically a tyrant of a ruler to the peoples, so he defeated it and instead of killing the dragon he seal it away. Later on he read a book with information about the primordial one and he was sentenced to death by celestia and Raiden was the one who kill him. If he was strong enough to defeat (almost killed) and seal a Sovereign on his own then how the heck did he lose to Raiden?
he wasn't defeated by raiden, the celestia gave him a choice probably to sacrifice himself or they finish the nation under watatsumi. he chose the first, there were hints of it in the lotus eaters quest if I'm remembering right the archon who carried out this order by celestia happened to be raiden
@@cinnamon4954 even so, the dude said he got no fighting chance to begin with, that's why he is in Enkanomiya, he is avoiding the Archon war, it is specifically mentioned that he is no match for Morax and Raiden
Ok this is what I think after coming back here with the Fontaine 4.1 story: Hydro Sovereign is not Kokomi but Kokomi might have a bit of Orobashi's genes since the Sangonomiya Clan believe in Orobashi
Sadly Kokomi is not a dragon sovereign, at least not the one of hydro since now it’s confirmed to be neuvilette but it’s fun going back in time like this knowing the answers to questions we used to ask about the lore
Im pretty sure the geo dragon is zhongli 1. bc he is been in teyvat since before the first who came (Heavenly Principles w the ark) 2. He literally turns into a dragon 3. his desing is full of scales 4. aishdaha uses a lot of other elements and i feel like a dragon sovereign wouldnt. Also zhongli found him/created him, dragon sovereigns usually dont spend eternity being a rock.
From analysing Zhongli's voiceless related to 'true history' and memories. I think we can clearly say Zhongli is the Geo sovereign, if you want a better explanation Search wei☀️, he makes great theories
I thought of Dvalin being children of the children of the anemo dragon sovereign, and azhdaha himself being the Geo whose soul wasn't banned to light realm and ended in a body made by zhongli. Kokomi being the hydro reincarnated as human would explain her sleeping habits and I personally would love this theory, kinda confirmed, to be true.
Dvalin is indeed too young (to be one of the originals, could still be a reincarnation) but Azhdaha could easily be as old as Apep. His exact age is never mentioned, but he's confirmed to be waaay older than Zhongli (who's 6k+ but calls Azhdaha ancient) and they have a whole conversation about how elemental beings (which Azhdaha is) live longer than any other species.
And Azhdaha is also very strong, or even stronger than morax. Why’d you think Zhongli had the highest kills during the archon war? It was bec Azhdaha was fighting beside him.
@@veliona_vollerei_ Of course it was Morax. That’s why the Yaksha’s have this term “karmic debt” killing a god/deity adds to your point. Once those points reach a certain level, the yaksha loses control, corrupted, and goes mad. Hence, what happend to Xiao. Imagine how many gods Zhongli and his ally including Xiao killed during the Archon war for Xiao to experience his karmic debt now.
Fontaine changed a lot on the dragon soveregins. Correction, Neuvillette changed a lot on the dragon soveregins. Now we know that Kokomi is not the hydro dragon, rather it is Neuvillette.
I think Zhongli/Morax was supposedly the dragon who raised the land from the sea, and that he was born “before teyvat existed”? Wouldn’t that make him the dragon and not Azhdaha?
I think Zhongli is also one of the Dragon Sovereign. In his voicelines we learn that he is way older than we thought. He was before the creation of Teyvat. I wonder what Apep thinks about Rex Lapis that became an Archon? Do they resent him?
Kokomi being a dragon wouldn't necessarily make sense because of neuvillette being the hydro dragon she also doesn't really fit the new eye rule either
In the Before Sun and Moon part, it claims the First Throne/Primordial One/“may have been” Phanes descended and created the world. Apep claims the Heavenly Principles is their enemy, so… Heavenly Principles = Primordial One…? When asking Morax, or attempting to ask him, about the Cataclysm of Khaenri’ah, he said “I signed a contract when it all began.” It would seem in context it was referenced to Khaenri’ah, but now I wonder if it meant the defeat of the Sovereigns, and he is one and subjugated by the Heavenly Principles. Azhdaha is a great dragon, but Morax was greater. Nothing I’ve seen in the lore that the Sovereigns are the only dragons.
Guys, u might think its silly but i believe paimon is the traveler elemental power that took the shape of paimon with the passage of time after the “unknown god incident”
Wait now that fontsin is out is kokomi NOT the hydro Drahon right? Its neuvillet I am somewhere in the archon quest so i am not sure but i saw through some other shorts
I'm pretty sure Dviallian is an air vishap mentioned from the Abyss herald (idk his name), in the perilous trailer ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xm6DtDBkDFw.html The timestamp is 1:05 is where he mentioned it
I’m ngl the only shocking thing to me about this quest was that one of the seven sovereigns was on Teyvat but other than that I thought all the lore had already existed in the game if you just looked hard enough
