Well, not really an introduction but I walked into his office when he was listening to a George Carlin album (idk if he had it digital or as a disc given that ya know, I was a dumbass kid) but I walked in on the Rice Krispies segment, had me looking up George Carlin stuff on youtube for years, I was hoping to see one of his shows one day but he lost the last battle with his heart condition and died in 2008, so basically it was just videos like this one here until I finally found his stuff actually available to buy on VUDU, and I got all of it, along with his audio books and albums. I sometimes look up these on youtube if I need a snippet for a conversation. Too many fake Carlin Quotes out there.

My cat attempted to jump from the table to the top of a bookcase, missed, and managed to pull a bunch of books down with him on his way down. At the end of it he's sitting at the base of the bookshelf amidst scattered books calmly licking his paw, as if to say, "I meant to do that." Carlin nailed it :).
I get so tired of my cat jumping on the counter, so I put mousetraps down with newspaper overtop. Wanna scare the shit, not maim him. Came home and theres newspaper and mousetraps all over the floor. And my cat laying on the counter, looking at me like, "hey, you left some shit on the counter"

Ah, I don’t agree. George Carlin was a philosopher of life. He would point out the routine and obvious, and turn it into the absurd. Robin Williams had many voices and sounds, and physical comedy. Little girl voice, old lady voice, squeaks. I saw Robin Williams at the a comedy club in Hollywood in the early 80’s and George Carlin around the same time and they were their own person.
Jesse G watching most stand ups now I always hear at least two or three jokes that are obviously based on his sets. Can’t say I blame people, he was smart and gave people a lot to build on
It's just amazing the genius and intelligence to detail that this guy had. There's never going to be another comedian be able to convey George did. Thank God for RU-vid huh?! I still think his bit about baseball versus football is one of the most classic 5 minutes ever in stand-up comedy

No, i meant that Carlin was a huge influence on Hicks, not the other way around. Both of them were amazing but George is definitely Yoda to Bill's Luke Skywalker.
