George Carlin was the most rare kind of the entire human species. What I believe he most embodies is that he is absolutely "GENUINE" and possibly the most truly genuine of all time. He was showing how to do it, because our biggest and most widspread flaw common to humans and especially Americans is that we struggle to be genuine with other and even ourselves and Carlin recognized that. He was the greatest preacher in my opinion because he never preached religion and always preached how to be genuine.

I was Air Force. Never had any problem with the Jarheads. Hell, they were kind enough to ship us in some hot food from one of their bases on one of our deployments. Beat the hell out of the MREs we were eating. Marines are okay in my book.

This guy was a genius -even when I disagree with him, he still makes me laugh. No person, organisation, belief system or philosophy is safe : If you're acting stupid, he will call you out on it. I have laughed several times at his jokes even though the joke is about me. Hats off -if there is a heaven, he should be accepted in on general principles -regardless of the things he has said about religion. Making people think cannot be a sin.

the guys always been my hero. I grew up watching carlin and my parents never minded. didnt understand all of his humor when I was a kid, but carlin was respected by everyone because he told the truth, he had integrity. nobody like him one of a kind.

Sorry but Bill Burr doesn't have the linguistic virtuosity and the deep sociological analisis Carlin had. He is funny when he is angry, but it gets tiring, specially his obsession with women, I used to listen to his podcast, but then I got tired of hearing why women suck every other episode.
There's a comedian that George Carlin indorsed in an interview. that is currently probably the best comedian since George Carlin. and that is Lewis Black, he has that same anger that George Carlin had. and knows what he's talking about like George Carlin did. and the fact that George Carlin indorsed him in itself. should be enough to make him the best comedian we have currently.
I am amazed at the energy he puts in expressing his firm beliefs. Outreaching those who sees sense, practicality and burning realities in them..and ...he beats those macho musclemen.

Bill Beliakoff Well, George was never a very political person. In his own words, he enjoys the freak show and since he's American he had the front row seat to it. Also, he himself admitted he didn't vote(something many people look down upon), so I don't think he would have much to say about Trump, maybe a few critiques but knowing he hated political correctness, and euphemistic language of a fashion widely and profusely used in today's media, and highly sensitive, "pussy" attitudes held by what many people refer to in a derogatory manner as "social justice warriors" I think George would've liked trump a bit more than hillary. But I only say this because I watched his stuff, and what's going on today is almost the same as what was going on back in his days. He probably would've remained stoic to these events, although probably a little giggly due to the fact that the media received a devastating blow with Trump' s victory.

I collected George Carlin albums starting in the late 1960s, In the early 1970s a friend of mine and I would listen to them over and over again until we memorized an entire Carlin album. Then in school we did "dueling Carlins" and we were dead on too, good times. Miss you George Carlin, you were and are the greatest stand up comedian of all time.

This man was a comedian and a very fine one at that, extremely funny with great intellectual and intelligence, couldn't name any better comedian of all time including Billy connelly rowan Atkinson etc,
The scariest thing about him, is that I forget that this show happened before the turn of the millennium, and it still makes mostly sense today in 2023. Either we’ve been stuck in the early 2000s or he can predict the future, and the two aren’t mutually exclusive, it can be both.
