Indeed, a very good concert! I managed to identify all mentioned artists: Michael Manson (bass), Jeff Lee Johnson (guitar), Ronald Bruner Jr. (drums), Erik Zobler (sound engineer), Andrew Papastephanou (keyboard), Shannon Pearson (vocals). Maybe helpful for someone...
Thanks for the remembering of the names of the band. They play so well together I couldn't help but to respect thier individuality as musicians and vocalist. Mr. Duke you're too much. Loved it. R.I.P. it was Fun.I truly enjoyed it all. Duke of Royce
He was one of a kind. You can tell by the comments other musicians have made about George Duke that there was laughter, and rarely a dull moment when he was present. And George’s music transcended narrow labels. RIP George hope to hear and see you in the world to come!
No dis intended, WE are all One 🖤 of a kind & nothing sets us apart & yes I, would luv too believe that we'll see each other on the other side, but to be Honest, we simply don't know, that's what's so appealing, just to think that God always has something wonderful, that he/she holds closely to their chest ❤️🖤... more will be revealed, Later my friend.

What a talent George was, he could play anything, and was not afraid to add probably the most memorable keyboards of any Zappa alumn. George liked weird, he liked funk, jazz, soul, rock and roll, ballads, standards, EVERYTHING! I dont think he was reading charts when he played w Zappa though i know he could have. What an ear! What a brain! What a cool dude too, seemed to get along with everyone. He is sorely missed.
Brooke, whew, you ain't never lied. Just a phenomenal guy! And what I loved about him is when you saw him in concert and he'd have other musicians on stage....Angela Bofil, Will Downing....etc....they would all just flat out JAM!!! It was never about trying to show them up! Just having fun. Loved him....and he was so versatile! R.I.P.!!!

This is my favorite concert of all times, seen about 15 times now and still enjoying, what a man, what a group! RIP great pianoplayer, great composer and very nice man. BLM.
Duk era uno de mis pianista y teclista favoritos a más de gran cantante acompañado por los fabulosos bajista ( Michael Manson y baterista (Ronald Bruner Jr.) excelente y divertida persona. Requiescat un pace.
Haha, I totally can understand that. They change from one second from Jazz to Hendrix to "Tom and Jerry" like music and in between funk and soul and whatever. I remember that when buying LPs from George Guke one always needed to search in the record store in which category they have put his music. Sometimes that was Jazz, sometimes Soul, sometimes general Pop/Rock. And all fits! :-D Now it's almost 10 years that he is together again with his wife... Crazy how time flies.
I've been captivated by George Duke since I was in college in 1975. The album with 'Dukie Stick' was out then and was sooo funky. I've been swimming in his music since that time. Even though I've been swimming in his music since then, watching this concert has inhanced my understanding of just how phenomenal him and his music was. He was a music GOD given to us in the form of a human being. Extremely gifted and humble he was a vessel of love. I'm so happy that I came up in the era that I did and was exposed to Mr. Duke and all the other great artist of that era. What a rich space in time for music. R.I.P. Sir George Duke. Your greatness will stand tall forever. ♥️🎵🎹🎤🎙️🎛️📻👍🙂💯😎
Big regrets not appreciating and going to see him live- had the chance at Catalina Jazz but at the time; had no idea what I'd be missing. Such an entertainer- nice man
The music of George Duke has been a instrumental part of my relationship with music for many, many years. What a gift! He is missed, but I am grateful to God to have been exposed to his talent. Hats off to his partners in sound! 🙏🏽
Everyone I adore musically has made their transition. I had been for yrs instructing kids and all this talent was lost to me. Iam grateful to be able to hear & see the great musicians my folks would talk so highly about. To be clear there are great artist alive & well showcasing their talent💜too!l
George Duke was a full fledged genius, and even though he is well known he should go down in history as one of the best musicians, producers, in history.it is a shame we lost him at a young age.RIP
medley including Zappa's 'Cosmic Debris' with synthesizer voice and other genre samples show how versatile and amazing GD and his music was..and continues to be.
About George Duke from a public experience in Cincinnati, Ohio. There was a several day Jazz festival and other music held in the venue of the field where the Reds played baseball. We were mainly in center field. Several players were onboard that day when George Duke took the stage. He had a wonderful crew of musicians and several fine ladies who knew him well for many years. They had a chicken meal during a set of jazz. Loved it! He just played and spoke with his friends while enjoying a good meal. I knew of his music with Frank Zappa and always wanted to see him LIVE. One of those memorable moments in the life of someone who knows how music restores people. Thank you kindly. Kevin 🐬
Quel bonheur d'entendre 2H de performance de George Duke et de tous ces magnifiques musiciens qui l'accompagnent ! je les mets en favoris ! George Duke nous manque tellement !!!!
I saw George Duke perform in 75’ at Meeny Hall in Seattle Washington with Alphonso Johnson and Ndugu Leon Chancler, The Aura Will Prevail tour It was like sitting in a recording studio less than 10 feet away from them An unforgettable experience This is one of of the most beautiful live performances with George and this group, that I have had the pleasure of watching My first George Duke album was The Aura Will Prevail in 75, and then I bought Feel immediately afterwards and continued buying all his albums Love his work with Zappa and the Mothers of Invention as well Rest In Heavenly Peace Dawilli Gonga 🫶🏾🙏🏾
I turned all of My Friends on to George Duke with The Album Feel. I had missed Frank Zappa the night before @ Tulane University & the D.J. spinning on WTUL the next day said He witnessed the fastest Keyboard Player He had seen or heard & George Duke was His name ... I'm definitely into Zappa & I said if He's playing with Zappa it should be worth something. So I went over to The Mushroom Music Store in New Orleans that day & saw The Album Feel, bought it, took it home & The Rest Is History. I have many of Duke's Albums ... How can You stop from being A George Duke Fan, seen Him in Concert many times with His Groups ... also with Stanley Clarke ... Another with Billy Cobham & Other Great Musicians ... One Of The Greatest Who Can Do All Of The Genres. My Favorite Will Always Be Jazz Fusion 🎹 🔥

Great list for a great concert, thanks. On the subject of hidden gems, the opener, 500 Miles to Go (the clue is in the title), segues into Milestones by Miles Davis at about 15:15 and Oleo at 16:00 (Sonny Rollins composed Oleo but it was first recorded on a Miles album). Just after the 30-minute mark, Autumn Leaves (during George's solo)
I have always loved George Duke's music, since I first heard it back in the eighties. It was something transcendental with his tunes. My greatest favorite album of his will always be Guardian of the Light.
If you not rockin, bouncin, movin back n forth, finger-poppin or standing- you're dead !! This was absolutely astounding in every way. Thanks for posting it! Absolutely genius!⚘️⚘️⚘️⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️⚘️

PS: ...and he was a musical gangster:)) - - - George's music makes me happy in my heart and my soul since 1976 I heard him first time...this man is an idea machine, incredible. This concert is one of his bests, it is an opera.
This man, this musical genius, this phenom, this musical wizard is on my Mount Rushmore of music. I miss him so much. Someone needs to do an Unsong for this jewel because I don't think the majority 9f us know of his place in this world of music.
The Phenomenal and the Legendary George Duke! This is perhaps one of the best performances I have seen him play. Thank you for sharing this recording; still incredibly to watch after nearly 10 years of this jam. THANK YOU!! Just shred this on my Facebook page.
