George Galloway has won a resounding victory in Rochdale, after a chaotic and messy by-election in which Labour was forced to disown its own candidate after he claimed Israel had allowed Hamas to attack on October 7th. Former Labour MP Galloway - standing for the Workers Party of Britain - won on a single issue campaign, criticising the Israel-Gaza war and in particular the response of Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak to the conflict. Any problem you may or may not have with the concept of postal voting is a completely different issue which has no relevance whatsoever to the journalist's failure to know what the correct published election result figures were.

Labour's ceasefire motion excluded the SNP rider referring to 'collective punishment'. The legal force of this would have obliged the British government to address their complicity in arming Israel. Labour, people, drove a coach and horses through democratic due process by stealing the SNP's slot and substituting its own diluted ceasefire call. Labour trashed our democracy to prevent any breath of criticism falling on Israel. Sunak and Starmer then joined forces to distract everyone with dog-whistle racism, insinuating that hundreds of thousands of peaceful marchers from many communities were violent Islamists. George will not let that stuff pass again.

The ex Labour Party candidate may well not have won anyway. He was constantly jeered and harassed my the Muslim community. They laughed at him whilst he was out canvassing. I believe that the reason he made the claims re Israel that he did was a desperate attempt to win the Muslim vote. What we now have in Rochdale are politics based on racial and religious lines. How do I know? I live in Rochdale. McTernan, as always, speaking rubbish.

And who is the 'we' exactly? And who would be the alternative party? Galloways workers party? If so, then it's not a viable alternative as it appears to focus on one demographic in the UK and seems preoccupied with the interests of another country. I think it's about time a party emerged that served the needs of all British people regardless of their race, religion and also one that serves the interests of Britain.

No true conservative would vote for Corbyn or Galloway..... but they wouldn't vote Conservative either because the Conservatives are not conservative. You don't need to be a Tory to be conservative. Tories will always vote where their bread is buttered most, that is Conservative. Many many Labour MPs are failed Tories and many are conservative too even on the left, but not enough. The WEF and Wokerstazi are in control in all parties.
