My dad's service was yesterday, and each of these musicians were played under a montage of family photos while great stories of his life were shared by people who at first were timid to come up, but as the stories of music and laughter were shared, the line grew. It was amazing. Great send off. Love you, dad.
Como amo a The Beatles !!! George Harrison ❤❤.. amor y besos hasta el cielo !!! excelente músico !! 🎸🎼❤❤ Ringo en la bateria !!!! ❤️ excelente !!! ❤❤❤🎸🎹🎼 ❤❤ All loving you !!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Perfect example of why Ringo was the best choice for drummer for the Beatles. Collins' drums overshadowed the acoustic guitars which are the heart of the song. Ringo didn't try to overpower the songs. He simply played what fit.
The one and only band I can think of where each member was truly the lead singer AND they created music that evolved and sounded completely different from the music preceding it. And they were prolific after they broke up.They were such trend-setters. The best band ever IMHO
As you are probably aware being 1987 and 20 years since that lyric "It was twenty years ago today" I went to that concert wearing a Sgt. Pepper T-Shirt, in hope we would get a reunion with Paul, George and Ringo. We got two! And I admit we got "With a Little Help From My Friends" ath the end! Paul and Linda had a gold record printed on the back of the programme. Maybe it was planned, but it didn't happen. It was great to see the elusive George Harrison in concert!
Probably, but at that point Lynne and Harrison had been friends for a while and Lynne had been producing his Cloud nine album. Must have been great fun, though.
George looks very ill ....one fav songs ...always brings a smile to my face ...when all most simple song but always ... .spring ...and when all this shite over xxxx Love you George xxx
I am going for Brain surgery in 3 weeks, when they wheel me in for the procedure I want to hear this because if this works, it will be the sun coming for a new life for me-and if not its been a great run-NJ thank you for 40 years of sobriety-I love you so much.
Even on some of the worst days, the sun still shines. It's a beautiful song, and a perfect choice. My grandmother had this, My Sweet Lord, and In My Life playing at hers. It was fitting and peaceful.
Dan Fogelberg later performed this George Harrison song live in Atlanta in 1993 This song is on Dan Fogelberg's live CD Something Old... New... Borrowed... and Some Blues released May 2000-I have this CD - Brett Smith
He looked so nervous :) He said in a 1988 interview with ringo on aspel & co. “I was very nervous but happy to be around my old friends” (he didn’t exactly say that but it was something along those lines)
He had stage fright; they all have, Paul too; George started smoking again when these gigs appeared... Sf is so common - but it's just how you treat / deal with it; you'd need different mind technics, therapy, physical warming up, what ever helps.
Imagine being there ? two of the greatest drummers ever two of the nost talente singer songwriter guitarists ,they almost are as good as the Teavelling Willburys ? lol.
I love how into the playing he gets at around 2:15, starts doing variations on what he recorded and then forgets to go back to the hi hat at the start of the next verse, so great to see
Today's music does not have the same feeling as these classics. There are very few exeptions to this, but for the most part you can just feel that the singer or band is in the game just for fame and money.
Ringo: So you think you better than me have you DONE a childrens TV show??? Phil: uhhhh no have you?? Ringo: Get out Ringo: going life Phil: going live Both: Not bad not bad *goes have red wine with Paul
