George Harrison What is life reaction. Many have said their favourite Beatles songs were George Harrison songs and What is life shows why.
The man was simply very talented and if he had been in any other band but the Beatles,he would have shown this earlier.
Enjoy the reaction.

I did think i heard Motown in this song. Some here have disagreed. So i went on to find out what George himself thought of this. And this is what i found. Harrison biographer Simon Leng describes "What Is Life" as "Motown-spiced" and a comparatively rare example of its composer's willingness to embrace the role of "entertainer" in his songwriting. And on the subject of what the song is about, heres what i also found- The lyrics have a universal quality, being both simple and uplifting. Their meaning has caused some debate among biographers and music critics, as to whether "What Is Life" should be viewed as a straightforward love song - perhaps a "lovingly crafted paen" to Harrison's wife Pattie Boyd, in Clayson's description or a devotional song like many of Harrison's compositions.Ian Inglis writes that the song title suggests a "philosophical debate about the meaning of life", yet its rendering as "what is my life" in the choruses "reshapes [the meaning] completely".

What Is Life is probably my favorite solo song by George Harrison. I have always loved this song since I first heard it in the 70's. Though I wish Harri reacted to the video version with the two dancers that George's wife put together and released. It makes the song even more enjoyable.

That album shown, All Things Must Pass, is loaded with great songs. And I mean great! George grew so much during his years as a Beatle. Ultimately, his solo career was every bit as successful as John’s and Paul’s; from a writing, vocal and instrumental standpoint. BTW, did into which he has performing with him on this album. It’s an all-star group.

This is a great song, and it actually did chart, making it into the top ten in the U.S. and reaching #1 in other countries. It made George the first Beatle to have two top ten hits in America, after their breakup. You should react to his hit "Dark Horse" which was recorded soon after a tour and his voice was raw. It's super catchy. Of course, his classic "My Sweet Lord" is heavenly, but I believe you've already reacted to that one. It's the go-to song for most reactors.

This was possibly my favorite of George's solo numbers. Love that guitar riff! I think, however, that people were suggesting songs from the 'All Things Must Pass" album and not the song itself. The song is okay, but there are many other much better cuts from that album than that one.

I wanted to give you a hint, there is a song made by Carl Perkins, it’s called My old Friend. It was composed by him in a week when he participated in the recording of a solo album by Paul. In it he says "My old friend, think of me every now and then". And that phrase caused Paul to collapse, because it was Jhon's last words to him before his death.

George was the best guitarist in the Beatles and gradually became one of the best songwriters in history, mainly due to his competition. Ringo, although only writing Octopuses garden, did sing several Beatles songs like LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS< BOYS> ACT NATURALLY, and few others. A lot of people accentuate the talent of Paul and John, and even George, but Ringo, although my least favorite beatle, was the most technically proficient at his instruments out of the four. John and Paul and George can barely play the piano, and are adequately, musically talented with guitars, although experts will say it was all easy. It is not technically hard to play Beatles songs, but it was amazing the talent to come up with the songs. Writing was Lennon and McCartney's forte. Not playing their instruments. Imagine if they were all as good a musician as Ringo. He is the one who made the Beatles famous and put them over the top of all the other British bands of the time. Ringo was the key.

I don't think we know how old this song is. George may have written it a long time ago, while he was in The Beatles, but it is undoubtedly about Patti. The Motown in the song was probably the influence of Phil Spector, who was married to Ronnie, (of Ronnie and the Ronettes ("Be My Baby"), and he loved and produced a lot of Motown sounding artists and records in his early days. That isn't to say that George was not influenced by that sound as well, he surely was. In fact, George dated one of the Ronettes in the early 60's, and The Beatles loved all the great black artists, especially Smokey Robinson, B B King, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, and Lead Belly.
