i was there for this performance. right before the song he said "I guess we have to do this one or they won't let us go home." it was an honor to be at old Possum's last show.
Just like a boxer, ... Its hard to quit doing what you love and have done your whole life. Your mind wants but, the body dont cooperate. We were truly blessed by this mans talent and this wonderful song. God bless
The greatest of all time... I'm 30 years old, but I grew up on classic country music. I grew up poor, and I remember when I was a kid, all I had to listen to music was a small, portable cassette player, and I had three cassettes: Jimmy C. Newman, the Stanley Brothers, and George Jones. I would lie awake at night and play small segments of each George Jones song, and sing each section to myself, constantly rewinding the tape, until I knew the song by heart. I know just about everything he recorded now, and he was always my hero. I cried the day he died, and a year and a half later, this video brought the tears back to my eyes. Rest in peace Possum.

This breaks my heart, I loved George Jones and was fortunate enough to meet him and see him live several times . George Jones was and will always be the GOAT
A good man that could sing songs I miss old George Jones saw him several times even met with him several times rest in peace and he poured his heart out every song that he sang

George still sounds great. I was able to see him a few time and got the honor to met him and talk with him. Even thought he was the best singer of all time he still acted like a normal guy. Everyone is right when george passed country music died
Its so sad that people who attended this last performance didn't have enough class to stay in their seats and actually LISTEN to it.... my word. Loved ya George!
God how I miss him I raised my children and grandchildren he was trying hard can you believe someone was telling him to get up unbelievable how some people are I hope God forgive her. I love you george.💞

He it all plus some. I hear a woman in the back ground saying tell him to stand up. She need to be stood up and taking out. That woman has no clue about the greatest George Jones he love his fans. And that woman need takin out I’m sorry 😢

He was 81 and he died 20 days later, give the legend a break. Sick with respiratory illness, it’s far from pitiful. It’s a miracle he was even up there
