+Jarred Kennedy Ouch. That's what so many fail to see isn't it. Those like yourself who have tough times like that (I can identify after having a rotten childhood too), a movie like that provides an escape and so many have no idea the positive impact that it can have. I salute Lucas for that alone and he's never once bitched that it's the only thing he'll be remembered for. Nice to hear that it helped you come through it.

What do you think of the prequels and the sequels

I'm certainly not as obsessed with them as with the classic trilogy, but I really do love them overall nonetheless. By the way, I'm sorry for my super-tardy reply; I only just saw yours.

He had a real reason to sell LucasFilm and that what his ambition to take risks with his own movies. American Grafitti and Star Wars are key examples of this, both worked really well, but if he did make a movie that didn't sell, then the people working in LucasFilm would suffer a lot of the collateral damage. He realized hes old, and he wants to do his "own" kind of movies without compromizing other peoples jobs, so to gave stability to the 20.000 people at LucasFilm he sold everything. But it didn't sold to Disney just because "money", the woman who would be the head of LucasFilm (Kathleen Kennedy) when the deal got sealed actually worked alongside George Lucas in the ideas and scripts for Star Wars 7, 8 and 9, the idea behind was that Disney would produce those movies, but once LucasFilm was in their hands, Kathleen trowed the ideas and scripts in the trash and betrayed George Lucas. Once he realized this, he rejected to participate as a Consultant/Supervisor in Star Wars 7 knowing that neither LucasFilm or Disney would want his vision and his risks. Hence... enter The Force Awakens.

No idea why he was even bashed for the prequels because they aren't bad films at all and the worst of them has an average score from fans and critics combined above what the average score for a film is. So I don't get it at all how anyone thinks they're bad.AND ROTS IS CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED being scored above R1 ROTJ and TLJ! Also I loved some of the stories from the EU but I understand Disney's decision to press the reset button to make a grander more coherent story and appreciate what they've created now in their EU in terms of the books, tv series and comics but not a great fan of their Sequels (I really liked R1 and liked TLJ)

Darth Batman (Marvel with Iron Man and Spider-man is better) okay m8 what you need to do is go through over 10 polls and add up all the ratings from websites over IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Meta Crtitic (the most reliable I find), Empire and any other godamn CRITIC site and then go through all the rankings of star wars movies on youtube (I've been through around 100 if you include the comments in the videos) and summarise your findings, ROTS is objectively viewed in a better light by majority opposed to ROTJ.

@@divanshukumarmahajan4803 rots is way better than rotj,now rotj has more impactful moments in it but rots is amazing and Ian McDermott (miss spelled) deserved an Oscar for that part.

In all seriousness it looks like earlier Harrison must have told Calista that George was a sweet man. (Maybe she asked if George would be upset after Carrie roasted him in her speech?) Then when George was hugging Carrie, Harrison pointed and said 'See, he's the sweetest man.'
