As much as I prefer the Wham! and Faith era pop songs, performances like this just showcase how fantastic of a singer GM was. He does it so effortlessly as well and had the courage to perform at a large event like this just a year after the scandal. Wow. 🤩

Thank you for posting this video, I have been searching for a version like this for many years. It is by far the clearest and the best. GM is sorely missed by many people. I grew up in the 80's and until his passing he is one of the best if not the best singer of his time. No cutting corners full stop. He is funny, smart and talented. He always sings with passion and this is just one of his brilliant examples. Someone in the industry once said, an artist like George Michael is once in a lifetime. I would add if you're lucky. During an interview, George Michael said these days music artists are fragmented and his generation along with Madonna and Prince is one of a kind. How true could that be. He would also like to be remembered as someone with integrity, George Michael if you can hear me, you are a person with integrity I miss you so much Rest in Peace.

"you left me standing here a long long time ago" - anyone who has lost someone they dearly loved relates to that lyric - Honestly, his version, for me, is so much more powerful and emotional than Paul McCartney's but I've never been a big fan of McCartney's voice while I did appreciate his lyrics. This is sob-inducing though, you can feel GM's pain as it touches my own about losses. Gosh - why did he have to leave so so soon....💔 The lyric "don't keep me waiting here, lead me to your door" is more poignant given his passing.
