George Strait "Cowboy Rides Away" final concert - Arlington, Texas 

He has the name, the look, from Texas and a real cowboy with a golden voice. Just a class act as well. It’s no wonder he became a legend.

I love how all the current country music stars were up there with him. Everyone from Kenny to Alan.

They broke the mold when they made him God bless George Strait

What a way to go out! Or ride away! Definitely a class act and he deserves so much respect for his contributions to country music and always staying true to what/who "George Strait" is as an artist. His music is and always will be timeless. I certainly don't think this will be the last we hear or see from him (as he's said), but enjoying the George Strait live stadium concerts are now a thing of the past and that's sad, really. But while he's given so much to the fans and industry, he's more than earned his right to bow out from the touring, retire, and enjoy the time with his grandchildren and family.

3:53 I was there for his final concert for his final tour. When he said "Thank y'all so much" a tear came down my face when his voice cracked.

I saw George live in a small theater in the round in Dallas in 1982 before he hit it big. I said then that he would become a legend. He was that good. 32 years later he was doing his Farewell Tour and he is a legend. They don't get any better.

I'm 20 years old and Mexican from Dallas. people stereotype me and view me as a thug for the way i dress and my style but man I can't wait to see the look on people's face when I walk up in there and sing along word per word and have people look at me like "damn this Mexican loves George strait"😂

Saw him in Newark, and the best part was getting back on the train headed back to Manhattan, you just know a "fellow Texan" and everyone started asking each other where they were from, that was in NY, NJ, pretty freakin awesome. The whole row behind us were from Austin and us being from Houston. Love King George.

I just watched this concert on DVD for the first time ever, only really knowing a few songs of George's. By the end of the 40 song set list (with the help of some Wild Turkey) I was welled up with tears watching him sing this. What an absolutely beautiful song and personality to sing it. We almost don't deserve a man like George Strait.

ive had a troubled past and fucked up,,up bringing,,heard of George strait on the radio on lunch break working construction,thought he was cool,,followed his music off and on, til I got suicidal and as I got ready to jump off a freeway over pass,this guy in a pick up slowed down,,this song was playing,,it brought me to tears and I just couldn't jump,,all these years later ive bought every single album he put out and have seen him in concert 4 times in Amarillo,,yep! Amarillo by morning!,its sad to see him stop touring,but his music always brings me up when im down
