I think George's version is better no doubt. Funny thing, I think Brooks and Dunne did a better version of Cowboy Rides Away...sometimes the artist picks the song, and sometimes the song picks the artist...
@@lukesdriftersmusic5850 I know you are.I grew up listening to the 78s.I am a 49er.Year I was born. Not the football team.Throughout the years.Music changes.I like old country.I also like original rock n roll.If you can dance. Can you imagine rock n rolling to Yellow Submarine? 😄 I'm not picking on the Beatles. But rock n roll.Chuck Berry.Big Bopper.Buddy Holly,Richie Valens.Shimmy shimmy ko ko bop(the stroll).I would never pick pick on you.I would love to see the younger generation like you keep older generation music alive.MartyRobbins was one of mine.Battle of New Orleans. It came out before 1960 I know.I still sing that song.Ever get a song stuck in your head?I was 11 years when this song came out.You enjoy music that makes you happy.Maybe introduce a little music from oldtimers to your children while they are growing up.❤🥰🎶🎵🎙🎤📻 💿
I think it was more they were laughing because they couldn’t believe him singing boogie. The first time he sang that phrase his eyes kind of bugged out and it was just hilarious it was nothing negative they were laughing about they were probably just blown away and how funny he is when he was singing it
So I read that they were laughing because George Strait doesn't normally sing too many high notes. Which is the way Ronnie Dunn sings "Boogie". So hearing him try to sing it like Ronnie made them laugh.. If you notice George stops singing it that way halfway through the song.
@@phillipmatthews8830 Yeah, "Boot Scootin' Boogie" is probably the Brooks and Dunn hit that is the least "George-like"; it's fast, it's rowdy, you know, it's a party song. So just as an idea, I'm sure Kix and Ronnie (like the rest of us) were incredibly curious to see how it'd go!
Drew Breault Its Strait. Jones is 2nd. Strait's accomplishments are unmatched of any Genere. More #1s then the Beatles, Michael Jackson and Elvis combined. I also say had Strait marketed himself like Garth he would also be the #1 solo artist ever. He IS country.
The people who disliked this are the same people who listen to rap that only talks about killing eachother, drugs and degrading women...... this my friends is "real" music🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
@@roseanne74 yes, I wasn’t insinuating otherwise. I was just pointing out there was reason he sang it that night, I know he listens to them, he said so. And he probably sings along, but he doesn’t do covers in his shows. He sang it on stage as a tribute.
If you didn't know this song was originally by Brooks and Dunn you'd think George was the original artist behind it, that's how good he sounds singing it, it literally sounds like could be his own original work
George Strait is the best country music artist ever. I saw George Strait for the first time opening for Merle Haggard in 1978. Sacramento County California! I love Strait for ever and always !🥰😋😛

Hello there how are you doing I was just going through my views and comments when I came across yours so I made a new account to write you back hope you don't mind?
+Persida G It's probably someone that listens to "bro country" or this pop-country nonsense that considers that stuff to be country. It's good music, but it's not country.
I loved it when Brooks And Dunn did it but Mr. Straight just made me speechless I mean he took me way back I am just 30 years old lol. This is the kind of country music that I love. Right on Mr . George Strait love you.
