@@iamheeeem , I spent only 4 days behind bars, but it felt like 40 years! Being a female, it took me away from my children and that’s the only thing that was on my mind! I went to jail on trumped up charges, they were dropped after I got out, but it left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to white peoples! 4 days was enough to make me not ever want to visit or become a permanent resident of jails!

Currently, there's only one party that can *NOT* win national elections without first securing the Black vote. If the GOP actively sought to expand their base by making a serious attempt to win over more Black voters (like they did with Cuban Americans), there would be more Black Americans voting Republican. When Black turnout is low, or the minority vote weakened by disenfranchisement, it benefits the GOP. Whether or not Republicans intentionally encourage Black voters to sit out of elections and become politically disengaged doesn't matter. It has the same net effect as if Black voters selected the GOP candidate standing for election. Black Americans aren't the only voter demographic that has historically voted as a bloc.
