When the SEC haters were adamant about including FSU while excluding Alabama, I knew beforehand they were in for a rude awakening. I feel the exact same way! I lost all respect for those who did not show up. The players who opted out watched the less experienced players get run over. No sense of loyalty or brotherhood. It was very sad.

Bring it back 20 years ago, when players should be grateful for being able to play football at this level and playing real cross conference games and giving it their all for the school and not their own interest. The SEC is the most dominant conference so far in the postseason with Georgia destroying FSU, Missouri shutting down Ohio State, Ole Miss beating Penn State while unranked Kentucky nearly upset Clemson. There are still only 6 at large spots in the 12 team CFP and of course the CFP won’t allow SEC domination so the subjective selection process will continue. Right now there are 7 SEC teams in top 13 to include UT and Oklahoma. With KY’s transfer portal acquisitions they’ll definitely be in the mix next year. Curious how it’ll all play out.

@@grimreality451 - FSU was a different team with a different mentality before they were excluded. I think Bama deserves to be there but Texas and Michigan not so much. The thing that makes it worse is all the subjectivity in the polling and selection process. The CFP changes the criteria to benefit the teams they want to advance. The members have so many conflicts. The Michigan AD was on the panel until recently. They’ve been trying to set up a Big 10 Natty for years but it keeps backfiring. Even a 12 team playoff won’t resolve the situation as all conference winners will auto advance. At this point it’s the teams with integrity that stand above all the others because the CFP and their handlers have corrupted CFB.

Carson Beck didn’t even touch the football after the first half while the 3rd string QB finished the game. In other words, Georgia could have beat FSU even without their starters, debunking the claim that FSU only lost because many of their starters were injured or entered the transfer portal. So the 2023 College Football Playoff Selection Committee made the right decision by including Alabama, which beat Georgia in the SEC Championship game while not including FSU.

They could have been competitive. Once the CFP robbed them the top players scattered and rebelled. We lost players too but considering we have the best coach who’s a rock star recruiter and sends many to the NFL, one of the best QB and the top recruiting class, we’ll be right back in the Natty hunt next year. If not for hinky officiating Bama would have lost their last two games. A week 2 win then loss to only other ranked opponent until Conf win didn’t make Texas more worthy than FSU or GA who best 5 ranked teams, 3 ( including 9 and 10) B2B in final weeks especially considering all of our broken records and winning streaks this season. Our 3 pt loss to the questionably worthy Bama team was not enough to eliminate us. Michigan cheated so shouldn’t be in it at all. So while I agree Bama should still be in it, Texas and Michigan should not be especially when they’ll be right back in it next year with even stronger teams.

MHJ carried Ohio State on his back the whole season which is why he was invited to NYC for the Heisman ceremony. He's going to the NFL now and opted out. Ohio State chased out a decent QB in McCord, who is transferring, leaving them with their #2 quarterback. The result was that Ohio State went from a generational WR and a good but not great QB, to a paper tiger of an offense that couldn't actually put out real production on the field. One backup playing is different than 17+ backups. UGA has tons of depth at every position. Their 3rd stringers are way better than FSU's 3rd stringers. Doesn't it feel good to be vindicated especially with all the SEC haters shouting from the rooftops that FSU should have been in the playoff while Alabama shouldn't? The SEC is the most dominant conference so far in the postseason with Georgia destroying FSU, Missouri shutting down Ohio State, Ole Miss beating Penn State while unranked Kentucky nearly upset Clemson. In hindsight, the committee would have looked like idiots for selecting FSU and not including Alabama.

No way. There aren’t 4 teams better than Georgia this year. The committee’s job is to pick the 4 best teams, which they still didn’t do despite all the drama.

​@TheMCJ2011 I think he means they got it right by excluding FSU. IMO...Bama, GA, and Texas are better than everyone else. I don't see Michigan or Washington winning it. It's obvious that FSU wouldn't have made it past the semifinals.

Missouri was behind only Bama and Georgia in the SEC and is 11-2 so that’s not “middle of the pack”. Maryland from the Big Ten beat Auburn by 3 touchdowns, the same Auburn team that had Bama beat.

First off. Ole Miss and Missouri were the 3rd and 4th best teams in the SEC this year. But, it was nice watching the Big 10 get embarrassed. It's so rare for the Big Ten to fail to beat Southern teams. Oh Wait, it happens every year!!!!
