@@nahigottagiveeveryonerespect If the new location is getting more mail than can literally be stored, that’s not the workers fault. Did you even watch a minute of the video?
@Tailionis idts. I found out that only atlanta district did this. I'm a regular rural carrier wanting to switch crafts and was advised that they're firing the pse's(which ended up being laid off) and it wouldn't be good to do it now. I truly think it has a lot to do with them wanting them to go to the new buildings
@@Tailionis When I retired I had over 65 days accumulated in vacation and sick leave and I would have had more but I had a stroke in May of 2023 and the Post Office doesn’t allow you to carry over 55 days into the next year. I worked there 31 years and the new procedures slowed me down, too many wasted things to do, I just wanted to deliver the mail.
Unfortunately UPS & FedEx both us USPS as well. They are our biggest customers. At my office we get maybe 6-10 pallets of both a day. The union is the biggest problem the USPS. It has a tight grip on keeping the absolute worst employees hired.
I know it's not nearly as important as many of the other missing items, but I sent out wedding invitations in March and I'm bummed that so many of them have either been delayed or lost. Some of my close friends and older relatives really wanted physical invites for the sentimental value alone, and it's pretty disappointing to think they might not receive theirs. But as inconvenient as this has been for me, I feel so much worse for the people who rely on the postal service for necessary items like medication.
I'm going to start doing this with my taxes, decline to pay them for 3 months after I promised to pay them on time, and watch how long it takes to get arrested. There are two sets of laws in the USA, laws for the citizen, and then laws for the US corporation/government, which basically no law applies to. The post office should be sued into the ground for falsely advertising shipping times when they know this was going on, same thing happened in Missouri City Texas.
I tried to buy a po box in Rome. What a chore. Just to find out that USPS doesn't sort locally. Hence letters mailed from Rome USPS, are shipped to RPDC 302, then returned to Rome to be placed in the po box. Completely deficient thinking in processes. What a failure. 2 weeks is the new normal on delivery. Shame. Shame.
@@chris76-01 First you say they don't work overtime. Then you say they need to work more overtime which tells me that you really don't have a clue.. If simply working overtime was the solution the problem would be solved. The problem is the second highest paid federal employee in the nation. And since you seem to know everything I don't need to tell you who that is. But I will. Postmaster General Louis Dejoy
The United States Postal Service have no choice but to REOPEN All of those Facilities back up such as Atlanta P&DC, North Metro, Bulk Mail Center, Peachtree P & DC, just to name a few In order to start Processing and Delivering directly out to the customers. The Truck driver's that show up at our Dock door have quickly done their own oversight of All of this mail volume coming into Palmetto RPDC sorting and Delivery Center and its about 2-3 Million pieces of mail in the House. So, therefore, Atlanta P&DC, North Metro, Peachtree P&DC, Bulk Mail Center and etc... would need to take half of this mail from out of Palmetto RPDC sorting and Delivery Center, so that the mail can quickly get to the customers mailing addresses because the Truck driver's and Mail Handlers are saying that the U.S..Postal Service can ("NOT") continue to keep doing this mail like this, all piled up and not moving and etc.....
He was brought in by Trump to destroy the post office, so that packages would go through private services, one of which he ran. The million dollar donation to Trump's inauguration that DeJoy made is not suspicious at all /s.
so nice to see my prescriptions bounce around for months now but no refund because the tracking number shows as "in transit". By the time they arrive, they'll be expired along with all the flyers and coupons we get
If people depend more on packages that aren’t USPS for example, Amazon packages. The likelihood of people depending on mail should decrease, because the surplus becomes extra-ordinary for carriers. That is why I quit. I was working regular + overload every day. I know I had a good job but nobody had a hold on management.
