Long past due. Years! On time? Not at all and my poor mail lady and local postmasters are the ones who take the complaints. In April I got my December mail. Did he get his letter? Lololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol No, he did not get the letter but… it’s in the mail. That man just stuttered and was pitiful. Where does the problem originate? IDK! Postal employees… yes, someone cares. ❤
@@jcook2433I put in mail forwarding end of of August 2023. It took until end of December for my forwarded mail to arrive at its destination. From Nevada to California. He was changing the finer smooth operation to one with commercial ads that have no business in the U.S. postal system. The staff had the last minute burdin of going through every forward , to separate 1 st class out after their mail route finished every day. Signed, a disgruntled senior citizen
My husband is a mail carrier. These ridiculous changes to the USPS GREATLY affect the Mail carrie's personal lives. Not to mention they are harassed by their customers because of the delays in the mail. It's not the fault of the carriers, it's management's fault. The buildings that they are moving the carriers from still need to stay open to the public. So a lot of us do not understand what the actual benefits of this really are. Your asking carriers to drive over an hour away to get to work, just to drive over an hour to get to where they need to deliver the mail to. How on earth is that going to help mail delivery to be on time. Common sense would say it's not. I'd also like to eat dinner with my husband at a reasonable hour at night. Not 11:00 pm.

Unfortunately, the Senate has no direct control. Biden keeps nominating and replacing the people on the committee who are responsible for this, but until critical mass is reached, well, we're unfortunately stuck with this ridiculous person.
I'm guessing you mean DBCS and or FSS machines.... The DBCS machines taken out of service were excess capacity machines that had not been utilized for months and years and the FSS machines were costing more to operate and have since installed decades before Dejoy became the PostMaster General. That has nothing to do with the current conundrum and issues whatsoever. Honest constructive criticism is warranted especially in Georgia. You are probably just misinformed and repeating things you heard.

I was recently hired by the USPS and I was blown away at how little technology plays a part in delivering the mail. USPS workers are basically doing these entire routes every day from memory. The most you have is a list that says what addresses get a package that day, everything else from loading the truck to getting every package to the right place are done with no technology whatsoever

Never been prouder of my US Senator than what I just watched with Georgia Senator John Ossoff. I fully agree with Senators Ossoff last comment about De Joys handling (as Post master General) not only "recently" but (imo) as far back as De Joys hiring by then President "Trumph". Thank you again as always Senator Ossoff, for doing what is right for your Georgia constituents and the American public as a whole. Keep your eyes on this guy folks, Senator Ossoff seems to be the democratic populist in the very near future. Proud of both my GA Senators!!!
This Postmaster General is a bumbling bureaucrat who thinks that his position is a 'soft and cushy' job. Unbelievable! It's no wonder that mail is not delivered on time when this guy fumbles his way through simple and direct questions. Attitude reflects leadership. Add to the fact that this guy doesn't respond to a letter written to him by a United States Senator who oversees his position is atrociously arrogant. This guy wouldn't be able to manage a McDonalds restaurant as customer orders wouldn't be delivered on time.
DeJoy's not a bureaucrat. He's a wrecking ball. DeJoy was/is a big GOP donor and founded a Fortune 500 logistics firm. He was appointed the summer before the 2020 election specifically and only to dismantle and privatize the USPS. His first moves were to stop and slow election mail -- ballots.
The man has worked his tail off from day one... Not saying everything has been done in the best way, it clearly hasn't. Yet he alone did get the 5.5 billion dollar pre-funding mandate removed and has a forward vision if not the correct people in place to execute it. The USPS has been drifting off course for 25 years we need a streamlined modern operation. Not sure DeJoy will survive to implement it or not, but the concept far surpasses the execution of it sadly enough.

People's bills/payments aren't getting to people on time. He's doing this on purpose. He hasn't done a f-ing thing to increase technology or personnel. Can't believe this.
Delays at Palmetto...how about the whole state? Our post office in the metro has been a mess for at least 2 years....nothing gets delivered, they steal checks out of the mail, etc. Fire DeJoy.

Why does he not tell the truth, It comes down to the people who Get hired to go to work for the Postal service to do the job, no pride anymore, had a problem back in the 70s in NewYork, postal service has gone woke,,but there are exceptions of course!
I've had the misfortune of meeting DeJoy in a processing plant in Seattle. I couldn't wash my hands enough. He was asking me about one of the giant sorting machines. And he has no grasp of how labor intensive mail is. Closing facilities won't work. Taking sorting machines out of service and not replacing them won't speed up the mail. What the board of governors needs to do is replace DeJoy with someone who's interested in fixing the USPS, not ruining it.

Thank you senator! I work for the postal service and it’s 100% management incompetence. They promote literally anyone who doesn’t know how to carry the mail properly to supervisors and managers. That’s why we are in this mess
This unacceptable mail service problem is also badly affecting both incoming and outgoing mail in my region of NC. Funny how the postal rates continue to increase....but the service of postal delivery and processing continue to decrease. And here we are on the brink of, yet, ANOTHER increase in postage rates in July! Unacceptable!! DeJoy is a total DeJOKE! Cast him out now!
If I understand the situation correctly, THREE USPS Board Members have to be replaced before a Postmaster can be fired is that right? Have those people been replaced?? Several years ago I had a short but intense conversation with my longtime delivery person and she wound up almost in tears talking about serious problems at her PO. She blamed DeJoy. BTW how long has he been Postmaster?? Seems like forever to me...Joe HAS to do something quickly!!! 😡😡😡
Our mail from Feb 26th is now getting to their destinations, as of Apr 30. We have had to pay late fees and also make another payment because utility companies, etc. Had not received the checks. Now, the checks are being processed.......my drivers license renewal on-line was processed Jan 3 was finally received Apr 30........what a mess!!!
Whether it's this issue or others I can't seem to make a contact with either Georgia senator other than a recording or generic email reply. Maybe the wait time is longer than I thought. I am a Georgia resident. Any thoughts on this?
In 1960, you could mail an "airmail letter" in western france, and it would arrive in Washington dc, sometimes a day later. At most, 2 days. TODAY, 3 weeks for 600 miles for a letter in a high tech automated system, is insane as .... 😮
What are you going to do Louis Dejoy? Fly in a bunch of Managers from other States into Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport 🛫 and then put them up into Hotels and pay for their meals and then send them over to Palmetto RPDC sorting and Delivery Center to do (NOTHING) but walk up and down Outbound and Inbound just taking dumb pictures 📸 with a damn clipboard 📋 to try and Police the Expeditors and Mail Handlers when there is (NOTHING) these out of State managers can do, but get back on that Airplane ✈️ and take their sorry ass back to their States because YOU, Louis Dejoy messed up that U.S. mail when YOU broke the system up and the cycle that was put in place ever since the "1860's of the Pony Express old days all the way up until the year of 2020; when YOU, Louis Dejoy was appointed to be the Postmaster General and that's when we had that problem.
