Geras, an eternal of the Mortal Kombat Universe that serves Kronika and holds immense power of time, sands, immortality and the world itself. With every death and rebirth, he grows stronger, exceeding or passing infinite.
Geras takes on against Heimdall, Baldur, and Thor, all from the God Of War games (Heimdall and Thor in GOW5, and Baldur in GOW4).

To explain some things as well: “There is a weapon in God Of War that can kill immortal beings.” Well that won’t work on Geras, as Geras is eternal, not immortal. Intro Dialogue (Geras Vs Fujin) - Geras: “I am eternal, not immortal.” Fujin: “How does that make us different?” Geras: “You can die, I cannot.” It simply states that the weapon can “KILL” immortals but you can’t kill Geras, even if he is able to die, because he will just come back to life as someone who’s always existed since the dawn/beginning of time and the world itself, only to be present again if the universe ended and restarted. Intro Dialogue (Geras vs Geras) - Geras: “You are not the only Geras.” Geras: “She made me, and me alone.” Geras: “You are a prototype, like me.” So there is basically more than one Geras, meaning they’re probably scattered across the universe AND multiverse, possibly omniverse if you want to hardball it and notice that he said “prototype.” Yes, prototype, he isn’t even at his proper limit yet, imagine what he’d be like if he was an official creation (if you understand what I mean). So even if Geras was stopped, another would probably take his place. But wouldn’t because again, he’s eternal. Intro Dialogue (Geras Vs Sub Zero) - Sub Zero: “Do you know Lin Kuei history?” Geras: “I have studied it for millennia.” Sun Zero: “Then you know you can’t win.” Geras states here that he’s studied the Lin Kuei and their history, meaning events, possibly Kombat, skills and their knowledge, which boots up his IQ and knowledge too. Either way, he already knows historical events and events of other people, no matter if they’ve entered the MK Universe or not. He even knows the Medieval Spawn: Geras: “I have encountered your kind in the past.” Spawn: “I’m not the first spawn, but I’m the best.” Geras: “I preferred your medieval counterpart.” I don’t know if Geras and Medieval Spawn fought, but if Geras won, then holy shit. Either way, he has encountered more than that counterpart and there is no doubt he knows shit about Kratos. Yes, Kratos is the primary example of a GOW character that I’ll be using. The only thing which I think might be a debate is speed. From looking at feats (including Geras in the gameplay), Kratos has more feats of speed, such as dodging Helios’ light, catching up with Hermes, but then again, Hermes couldn’t dodge a falling pillar and the light didn’t even cover up the entire underworld, but anyways, here’s something I’ve been looking close at. With Geras, I’d say his immeasurable speed can come from the unfathomably high speed of his time abilities during their movement, such as reversing and accelerating his own and other people’s movements. For example, when he resets his position to where he was a couple seconds ago by reversing and phasing at the same time, and possibly the speed that can be altered during it. In his Fatal Blow, you can notice the speed of when he slows down time, reverses it and stops it to obliterate his enemy. When comparing his reversing time in the Fatal Blow and reversing his own movements in the actual gameplay. Yes, I am speaking about gameplay feats and perspective, because Mortal Kombat is a fighting game that is more on the gameplay side than it is with story mode, comparing it to games like God Of War, Devil May Cry, Star Wars Jedi, and more… games that are similar are like PS All Stars (amazing game) and Street Fighter. If you want to talk about normal speed, then he did very good and fast blocking in his 1v3 against Shang Tsung, Fujin and Nightwolf.

I agree that Geras destroys Heimdall and Baldur not sure about Thor though but the fact you gave them both strength makes me confused since Kratos is stronger than Thor in physical strength and giving them both strength makes it seem that they both have infinite or immeasurable Strength and like you said Geras has that but Thor doesn't so that made me confused plus you gave Geras strength when you put him up against Kratos though I am pretty sure somewhere in mortal Kombat there is something that can kill Geras Permanently like he won't be able to come back but I don't think he has infinite or immeasurable strength since not a lot of characters have that Dante from DMC is an exception but that is in striking Strength not physical plus we don't know how long that will be true since GOW is still going on so I think at one point in GOW a character might be able to beat Geras and fire god Liu Kang whether it is if Kratos suddenly gets stronger or just another character like Wukong or Shiva appears who knows.

None of these characters have "infinite speed" or "infinite power." You know damn well that the devs never intended that. But without stupid wank Geras could defeat everyone up to Thor or Baldur which would require multiple tries before he could put down Thor.
@Xortaro
@Xortaro Год назад
Like I said, immeasurable “OR INFINITE,” as all the GOW wanking fanbase say, and I’m pretty sure there are those stupid developer statements that say they’re infinite, meanwhile Geras himself has said and admitted that his will and strength are infinite. Speed, debatable, but he can alter the speed of his time reversing and acceleration at very high speed that people would call “infinite.” And Geras does have infinite power pretty much, being an eternal who has existed since before or at the dawn of time, living a billion life cycles only to live another, and another, and another. And you say “stupid wank Geras,” meanwhile the GOW wankbase deserve to have their favourite characters suffering from other characters from a different game/movie/show/comic for a change. So conclusion, if these people say that Thor and Baldur have infinite strength and speed (as they scale to Kratos’ level of strength and speed), I have the right to say that so does Geras, being the eternal he is and with the ability of growing stronger as he dies.
@TrashCanOdor
@TrashCanOdor Год назад
@@Xortaro Yes and that's fair but neither of them have infinite strength or speed.
@Xortaro
@Xortaro Год назад
@@TrashCanOdor yet developer statements say otherwise? Or apparent, anyways. If Thor, Baldur and Kratos don’t have infinite strength or speed then that makes my day better tbh, I’m still not denying Geras’ infinite strength as he’s said himself, and the fact the grows stronger whenever injured or killed.
@TrashCanOdor
@TrashCanOdor Год назад
@@Xortaro The devs stated what? Statements don’t mean facts. Geras has to keep dying before he gets more strength then his opponent. That doesn’t mean he has infinite strength right off the bat. It just means it has infinite potential.

@@TrashCanOdor Geras himself said in the Aftermath Story Mode (against Nightwolf) that his will and strength are infinite. And we’re hearing that from someone who is undoubtedly a truthful being, I doubt Geras would lie being the person he is.

No way Geras beats any of these guys, he has been bested by about everyone he’s encountered from raiden who’s about as powerful as Baldur to Cassie Cage who would be fodder for these three. Heimdall would be the only one geras might beat if he could hit him, but with how slow Geras swings it’s not likely at all. Plus heimdall isn’t effected by time stops, you can see this any time you try to use it on him. This effectively makes Geras just some big brute heimdall has to avoid.
@Xortaro
@Xortaro Год назад
You do realise Geras is a minor antagonist in the story mode, of course he’s gonna come off as weak until you put him in an actual fight without the sake of “plot.” And time stops don’t matter, Geras can still reverse and accelerate his own movements. If he was made the main antagonist then every MK11 Kombatant apart from Kronika would be dead, Raiden including, who was still proven weaker after Geras grabbing him during the electric fly, and having the speed to grab him too.
@GarrettGroff-md7mn
@GarrettGroff-md7mn Год назад
@@Xortaro Wellll unfortunately he isn’t the main antagonist and we can only judge from the actual events that go down. Sure maybe if he was the main antagonist he’d win but wouldn’t that apply for any character that exists? Guy lost every fight he engaged in so I don’t think the results would differ especially against a GoW character. Also Heimdall wouldn’t need his time stops to beat him, Geras wouldn’t be able to catch him. My argument is based on what actually happened and what is shown to be true by the literal writers of the character, yours is if he was written differently he would win.
@Xortaro
@Xortaro Год назад
@@GarrettGroff-md7mn yes, if it was written differently because he looks weak in the story mode, meanwhile we would know his full potential instead of being a victim to plot armor. And no, it wouldn’t apply for every character if they were a main character, they have their own unique powers and abilites to make them win or lose. The whole point of the story mode is that you come off as a winner in all chapters. Kabal is fast as hell but in the story mode, loses fights. Shao Kahn, loses fights (until Aftermath). Also, read the pinned comment for more information based on Geras.
@GarrettGroff-md7mn
@GarrettGroff-md7mn Год назад
@@Xortaro Alright well if you wanna argue based on the “no plot armor” rule he still loses to baldur as he’s literally unable to die and since Geras has zero knowledge on his weakness it would literally be death after death after death for geras. Baldurs stronger than him, faster than him and more durable than him. We never see Geras move genuinely fast unless he’s using time stop to move, (and that isn’t speed he can use at all times) which would be useless against baldur because he’s pretty much invincible. Baldurs knocked out the world serpent from a punch while geras’ biggest feat of strength is him saying “my strength is infinite!” And then goes on to deliver average blows to his enemy. And again no plot armor so Geras doesn’t find the mistletoe arrow. Still retaining to no plot armor Geras doesn’t touch Heimdall so it’s a tie. And with no plot armor, Thor killed Kratos so I don’t think it’s even a contest their. Also I read your comment on Geras and his “abilities and feats” and I’m sorry but if you wanna use that dialogue and those matches as actual facts about the character then every character has a clone, most have beaten an opponent that’s wayyy more powerful than their story versions and some dialogues just break the game. Plus if we use those dialogues as actual facts about the character then we would also use the battles that happen seconds later as real events. Which means Geras has lost to literally every character on the roster of Mk and beaten every character, so it’s kind of unfair to balance that out.
@Xortaro
@Xortaro Год назад
@@GarrettGroff-md7mn have you read the part that Geras with no doubt is already aware of the GOW verse, simply because of his history and knowledge of other universes? Like I mentioned in my pinned comment, if he’s came across several counterparts of Spawn, then he’s definitely came across characters from God Of War. And again, Geras has infinite strength, no matter what is said against the statement or fact. Every death and rebirth, he grows stronger and has lived a billion life cycles enough to have immeasurable strength at that point. Geras is unable to die either. It may look like I’m twisting it with the “infinite” and “immeasurable,” but already mentioned immeasurable “or infinite” strength. Using gameplay feats (because that’s a whole point of Mortal Kombat, you’re fighting), Geras is able to reverse and accelerate his own movements at different speeds, including his intro animation of when you pick him in the character selection. And about “every character having a clone,” I mean that Kronika has created several or unlimited prototypes of Geras (unlimited because there an an infinite amount of universes) that have probably been scattered across the multiverse or most likely just one universe, it’s unknown but we know Kronika has created prototypes just from the dialogues. In some or most universes, Baldur might be dead or nonexistent, you never know. Meanwhile, Geras is eternal, meaning he can’t be erased, nonexistent or killed for that matter. Mortal Kombat 1 will give us more feats on Geras soon as this time, he might not play a minor antagonist. The reason I have these statements from dialogues is because we haven’t seen a enough of Geras to prove actual and legit feats, that’s why I go by who he is, what his potential is and his history and experience. And these dialogues are basically “what if” encounters and “canon” encounters, such as Geras escaping the Sea Of Blood, and saying to Spawn that he’s encountered his kind before. The winner or loser of the matches you create doesn’t matter, it’s the dialogues that prove the point of Geras in every universe that he exists in, and the one I use in this matchup is pretty much one who goes by all of the dialogues as to what he’s experienced.
