Hello Nurse cathy. I Watched one of your vids on blood tests for Acute Coronary Syndromes, and I have to say...perfect..nicely succinct and to the point. Watching it on the train to work, I was super confident as it was cardiac ward. Many Thanks.

There are also other surgical alternatives to the fundoplication such as the LINX procedure which I had done over 2 years ago. It has worked beautifully until recently when I had a flare-up but apparently I will have to take a PPI from time to time but that is better than being on a medication all of the time. There are also a couple of other procedures that I don't know much about like Stretta and TIF which are supposedly much less invasive than fundoplication or even LINX.

Hello, is it possible for Miss Diagnosis on the Upper GI test for Gerd? Because i have difficulty swallowing, someone's feels like food is sitting in my pit of my stomach, drinks and food constantly going down the wrong pipe and I chock, i get bad heartburn after eating many different foods, I regurgitate sometimes. I throw up, my stomach gets so bloaded and painful, if I eat one or two hours before bed.. it'll be a nightmare.. I'll wake up several times with severe bloating and pain, and I'll burp and burp and burp.. I get a burning sensation in my chest/throat, and this happens nearly every day for more than half the day off and on. I'm so tired of it. Today, i had the upper gi test, and they ruled out Gerd and said I have a little acid reflux.. and I'm sitting here thinking how can everything I go throw suffering day after day just be (a little) acid reflux. I know my body, and I highly doubt it's just a little acid reflux. Tums worked at first, and then it stopped working, and I stopped taking them because if you take too many its bad. What are your ideas and thoughts? Thank you. Pls respond..

I'm glad they ruled it all out, but I fear I may have something there that they might have missed. I truly hope not. But if I have to guess, I would say I have severe acid reflux.
