Merkel used German cars but they were ours with British regs etc. BMWs and mercs would've been much more common a few years ago. It seems they're phasing them out, especially with new leaders.

They are UK vehicles, the Range Rover is more common now. The armoured 7 series seems to be used only when they need every available car for multiple leaders. They also have the many XJ’s.

@@AmazeTase they see it as UK being culpable in the current state of affairs in Nigeria. UK almagamated 2 different countries in 1914 for business purposes and appeared to strengthen the northern part. Too many issues still in place over 100 years after, so south/south east wants to separate from Nigeria

ya but u know any international visitors of importance have a right to be protected. It will be a stain to country's reputation/power should anything happen to them in the country they visit.

It's not "show", they are all working parts. It's a control bike in front of the German Chancellor and the Chancellor's entourage to set the convoy's path and speed, three police bikes going ahead to make junctions and crossings safe (and keep radio contact with the control bike) and a Range Rover providing protection at the rear. It's the usual arrangement of the SEG and is absolutely minimalist compared with how things are done in many other countries.
