Lightning in the sky -- our good memories 4. Where is the boat headed -- god Jashimuddin was a poet with a profound understanding of Bangla wordplay, a legend who was like a simple villager but could write great songs using real metaphors.

The context of this song is metaphor of human life with river. Bangladeshi rivers are endless during rainy season, and sometimes our life is flowing without direction. The poet seeks the right direction towards the Almighty and expresses pity on human life without direction.

Though the song depicts a massive turbulent river (as if there is no shore, and it really happens during monsoon season here in Bangladesh), and a person's journey on a shaky boat during a thunderstorm in turbulent rive but also depicts metaphorically a person's uncertain lifetime journey. Poet is confused about where could be the destination! He (Poet) wonders if he can experience his gracious Almighty God once he reaches the shore. Perhaps a spiritual journey on a boat through a turbulent river. Your catch on a "spiritual journey" is correct! Surprisingly this has not been mentioned in the description. This is the main essence of this song.
