You were very kind to put Xentrix and Acid Reign from the British big four of thrash up against the ‘second tier’ of German thrash- but we still lost! German thrash kills- it wipes the floor with us Brits and it could easily go head to head with the best of the US, imo. There’s just something about the best German thrash bands, they don’t mess around.

I was actually thinking about putting the German big 4 against the US big 4 ...,and after reading your comment I may just do that soon. That would be an epic showdown! I believe UK's Sabbat A Cautionary Tale would have tipped the scales to the UK's favor but I didn't have a copy of that legendary album to display.

Excellent stuff,Steve. Great idea. Loved the Coroner in the background, cracking album. I don't know the first 2 German bands, but obviously knew , and loved all the UK albums. All killer, dude. Look forward to the next one 🍻🤘

Marvellous selections. Many I've not listened to for a long time, thanks for getting me back into them. Was a huge devotee of Vendetta's Brain Damage when it came out too. You did well trying to keep it to the five you chose, good representations of lots different variations under the thrash umbrela, I'd have probably included Sabbat's Dreamweaver as that was one the most incredible concept albums I'd heard from a thrash band at the time. And Exumer's Possessed By Fire for its sheer intensity on the German side.

Thank you. Exumer Possessed By Fire is a classic, I thought about including them in the video. Iron Angel Hellish Crossfire was another. I am missing that Sabbat album, I would have probably went with A cautionary tale but both albums are great. I need to pick up those albums soon. 😂

Having Coroner keeping things neutral in the background was a clever idea! Also a good handicap in not putting any of the German big 4 in the competition or it would have been a bloodbath. 😆 Killer entry in your new series. Cheers Steve!

Yes! Fuckin' Coroner! Killer Xentrix album, definitely my favourite. ACID reign are astounding, the Obnoxious album is a beast too. Check out Hypnodia's Extreme Hatred. Absolute savage German Thrash, like a way more blistering early Kreator, just killer. Great stuff Steve!

Awesome showdown Steve! The classic Britain vs Germany clash! I love Onslaught and Xentrix, 2 of the best UK Thrash bands. I have to be honest, I haven't listened to a lot of German Thrash. Pretty much all these bands i need to check out. I actually didnt know Grinder, the rest i knew of. And for the UK bands, the other 3 I haven't listened to either! Coroner sounds amazing in the background. Cannot wait to see the East Coast vs West Coast Thrash battle!! 😁🤘🤘

We were lucky to get imports from both countries over here back in the day and for me it’s Germany first but the UK is an important scene also and I have a lot of thrash from there in my collection 🤘🤘

Es gibt so viele tolle Bands zur Auswahl und ich habe SABBAT vergessen. Sie hätten den Ausschlag zugunsten Großbritanniens geben können? Wahrscheinlich nicht, German Thrash ist schwer zu schlagen.
