I agree that you should be proud but don't fool yourself. Nobody crushed the Roman Empire, it fell from economical problems and the hordes escaping the Huns dealt the finishing blow. I doubt any german here has ever been in any of our german forest for more than three days. I have for weeks to feel near my ancestors and because I believe the forest is a magic place in germanic history. Well, living in the woods, songs, dance is the best cure for your soul. Although I was raised an American, I have recently been experiencing an awakening of my Germanic heritage.
