I work in a grocery store in Germany and I have to say that the shelves in America look a lot tidier than they do in Germany. Everything is lying in disarray on the shelf and it looks like a storm has raged there. Either people in America place more value on cleanliness in the store or the employees are very hard-working and clean up a lot.
It depends a little bit on the kind of store you are visiting. There are supermarkets and discounters in Germany. When it comes to supermarkets the staff pays much attention to the arrangement of the goods in the shelves. Usually the things are more expensive in supermarkets.
Actually the meat consumption in the US is much higher than in Germany (more than 50% higher according to the statistics I have seen). O.k. California might be different. In Germany we rarely eat meat for breakfast. Some German companies are quite successful with their vegan products like Rügenwalder just round the corner from where I live.
It's so annoying to me that so many of the really great american candies and snacks are not as easily available here in germany. Like for example butterfinger. Why don't we have it?🤷♂️ It's so darned good. And the list could go on, and on, and on.
This is old content but I agree with your ‘for what’ sentiment, because there was quite literally no point in masking if you were too ignorant to wear it over your mouth and nose. Zero point but to be an inconvenience to yourself while pretending to follow rules. Here, let me wear this mask but make sure every single time my mouth opens I remove the mask 🙄🤦🏽♀️
