The fear of Russia is the beginning of Wisdom for the Collective West.. They are laying claim to Africa as if Africa is theirs in the first place. The West is really selfish, everything has to be about them. Russia is more effective in dealing with Africans, they never colonized any African countries. They always uphold the dignity of Africans as humans, unlike the West who loot and place Africa in the shackles of debt through their agencies like IMF and the World Bank. The hypocrisy of the West is laid bare for all to see. There's humanitarian crises in Sudan, yet it's not their priority, like at Gaza, yet it's not their business. Nothing lasts for ever, no empire lasts for ever. At least with all the donations made to Ukraine it's clear to Africans that their lives doesn't matter to the West, only their resources does

And for the 60 years, you can find an article by the embassy in Burkina Faso by typing "La coopération allemande au développement politique en détail" into google including the quotation marks (or "Die deutsche entwicklungspolitische Zusammenarbeit im Detail" if you speak German).

For Africa as a whole, Germany is one of the most important donor nations for developmental aid. for example, in 2018, aid to Africa from Germany was more than 5 billion euros, and that number was reached in the years before as well. It is actually hard to give a simple answer because Germany has done so much that you do not get an easy overview. Just take a 4 billion euros until 2030 initiative for sustainable energy that the German chancellor announced last year.

The primary goal is a stable an prosperous Burkina Faso to reduce militancy and emigration and increase trade.
