Denmark style of play is the same as Switzerland, they play with a back 3 and the complicate the game for the opponent but one thing that makes Denmark better than Switzerland is they know how to play the ball ( possession), and all their players can score ( shoot) from defence to attack. It's not going to be easy for Germany especially if Nagelsmann doesn't use a pure 9( Fulkrug)

Denmark had one good performance which was the match against England and that game ended in a draw. Germany has shown one of the best perforamances in the group stage with Switzerland being the toughest opponent knowing that both most likely wanted to avoid Italy in the Round of 16. Eventually Erikson will miss the match which on a psychological level will put Denmark in a very interesting position, because mostly average or sightly above average teams struggle when missing their playmaker. If this game has to be decided on penalties it should be quite obvious who'll make it with Germany losing their last penalty shoot out in 1976. Saying Germany is the last team anyone would want to face in that particular situation.

I am German but I think it will be a very tough game, we might even need the extratime or penalties to advance.

I can understand the parallels between Denmark & Switzerland. However, Denmark have an added another dimension to their play, which is inspired heavily by the Dutch actually. Most of the Danish players are good on the ball. They specialize in doing triangles allover the field, which makes them capable of controlling a game. They lack killer instincts and forward runs in the final third, but can make life extremely difficult for a side like Germany who likes to dominate with Kroos on the ball. Germany are favorites of course, but I think Denmark is a real threat whenever they are underdogs and will push the Germans to the brink

Im a german living close to denmark and spending there some holidays. You shouldnt underestimate how fired up denmark will be against their big neighbour. They might not have the same quality in players but they proved to be a fighting squad in tournaments and will throw everything in. I think it will be the first match that might end in penalty
