i always think it's a shame Price and Phil Taylor's careers didn't overlap a bit more. They would have really hated each other, and it would have been great entertainment.

There s a reason he is the most hated player on tour.... and it has nothing to do with his skill level. MVG has been carrying on the same way as Price for years which includes that little bit of intimidation by standing right behind the thrower's throwing arm and minimal acknowledgement of the winning player and he's a 'legend' .... back in the good old days of Bristow, Bobby George and Jocky Wilson they'd try whatever to get in the other guy's head like you wouldn't believe and they're 'legends' ... why ? because this is their living and you either win or you lose so you look for whatever advantage you can get ... trash talk, slow play, turning up late, OTT celebrations, whatever, and they all do it, even the supposed Mr Nice Guys ... Price is 'hated' by people like you because he's beating the other players that you like and he's doing it often (and I'm guessing with a few, there's also a little bit of because he's Welsh in there too) ... so if your favourite player lost because he got psyched out then it's his problem, not Price's

Has nothing to do with jealousy or the fact he beat someone's facorite player. Dont know if he has roid rage, or short man syndrome, or thinks he is still on the rugby pitch....but his antics turn a majotity of dart fans off. Only biased Welsh fans feel he is some admirable, lovable guy. Facts. And yes, I remember the hate towards Bristow....and he deserved it too. True Champions don't need to act like a clown.

Not tough at all in today's age of soft-cocks. The only part I don't understand is why he named himself the Iceman? That term is normally reserved for people who are cool in all situations and don't showboat, which is the exact opposite of Price who just about does the Haka if he throws a 100 😂
Jocky Wilson was the best when he was riled, nobody kicks world champions in the shins like Jocky did or fell off the stage when they lose. Nobody will ever come close to Jocky, a real legend.
This is absolutely quality. Darts NEEDS characters like this, they need a villain and he plays the role so well.. Even better that he’s actually decent! How “fans” can get riled up by some of his antics makes me laugh.. How soft are you people? It’s entertainment and it’s different.
Why do we need "entertainment"? Real fans like to see sportsmanship and not some dude trying to create a scene. Price is a nice dude outside of darts, don't know why he always wants to mess with his opponents.

@@sean_43 The thing is fella you are right he is a good enough dart player these days to not have to be in his opponents faces when on stage but at times he seems to be unable to help himself and that is why the crowd give him stick and they have not forgotten about his behaviour in the past.
Its easy to show small parts to make Price look like the villain. Show it all dude. Yes Price can be a complete bellend sometimes but there is always 2 guys to have a fight

So in the match that everyone holds against price for being a controversial character…..it was in fact Anderson who kept looking at him moaning, questioning, and pulling his face when price was walking back from gettin his darts out of the board. Because he knew he was in the shit. And that’s what prompted prices reaction
Im all for showing passion on stage. But price is totally over the top with it. Must admit though, the man has improved so much over last 2-3 years and is hell of a player but just cant stand the way he acts.
Dont get me wrong, some of it is entertaining. But what he done against anderson in that final was embarassing. Its no coincedence that most on stage bust up are either price or adrian lewis.
Other darts players don't like the fact price left rugby and came to darts ...he's a great darts player and the crowd boo him all the time but he comes back and wins ..I've noticed Anderson is a sore loser and very petty when things do t go his way ..Lewis is a bully ..

Great player yeah he used to use his roar/scream as a wind-up when he 1st got on the tour but last few years he’s only loud when he hits a good shot or important dart/check-out like rest of players do nowt wrong with any of it for me and that 1 with Anderson god knows how rod studd blamed price he was already bouncing back along the oche towards the board and Anderson walks into gerwyn just being the sore loser he is looking for an excuse to whinge about
I don't know him personally but he always comes across ad a complete tool and I've heard he's not that pleasant away from the oche maybe might be total crap. He's definitely the marmite of darts and enough to make you turn over the tv I know I do.
If Price didn't get so much hate he would have definitely won a few more titles. During Covid he won the world title because there was no crowd giving him hell all match.

When you see his interviews he is a really nice guy. He is just an asshole when he is playing. Winners mentality but with a twist 😂 hate it or love it.
