How to get an internship with no experience -- If you've ever heard "You need experience to get an internship.", then you're likely not alone. But that is a big myth and I'm here to dispel it!

Yes, if your an engineering student, get an internship today. Even if you have to take time off school to do it. You will often times see job postings for internships say "must be pursuing a degree in X engineering with class standing of sophomore or better" something like that... they mean it. If your done with school they will not consider you for an internship and the job postings for entry level engineers will say prior internship experience required. The jobs that don't say that are not great jobs, often times in tech positions paying less and even those your competing with graduates who have experience.

No no they don’t lol. They used to, but not anymore, most internships require experience and/or certification especially for my major. Me and many students are not going to be able to graduate because of this. Times have changed

Actually I have applied to about 50 internships and 90% of them required min 1 year experience

Like I talk about in this video, it is all about finding the right first internship for you. There are plenty of internship opportunities out there that don't require 1 year experience. And sometimes you can get your foot in the door even without the experience if you're respectfully persistent. Can one still get an intership after graduation?

But the truth is no one is hiring me as intern because I don’t have 5 years of experience. There was this one company asking for 5 years of experience for intern position. Getting a tech job is one of the toughest task. No one hires you unless you got that 5 years of experience. I don’t know how to express my anger I just want to kill myself.

One app that I found was an app called spotivity. It's still in its beta stage but it gives you reccomendations for extracurriculars that you can do in your area based on a personality test. It's been helping me a lot this summer.

Sure some companies offer internships to graduates, but it's not as common. If you've already graduated college I recommend applying to jobs and getting started.
