@proudliberal605
@proudliberal605 7 месяцев назад
George Martin was every bit as important as Mal was. Actually more. Martin was present for the first #1 single. Martin's classically trained ear was less about conceptual creation and more about adding the finishing touches. He took the semi complete product and gave it the detailed polish and shine. Martin added the string quartets, the swirly circus sounds, the trippy sound effects, and the symphony accompaniments. It wasn't until the Beatles evolved back to a more traditional rock n roll sound in the "Let it be" album that Martin saw a diminished contributing role. All after Beatle manager Epstein had died, and the newly formed Apple Corp. was changing the band's direction. By then, they were practically solo artists anyway.

What’s the point of this comment?
@proudliberal605
@proudliberal605 7 месяцев назад
@@LyleMyers @lylemyers Composition 101 Paragraph structure: Typically, an introductory paragraph BEGINS with a sentence that presents the main idea of an essay. This is called the thesis statement. In essay format, more paragraphs may be required to support the thesis statement or otherwise anticipate counter arguments of the thesis statement. Finally, in essay format, there is a conclusion paragraph which often repeats a variation of the thesis statement as referenced in the introductory paragraph. I did not write an essay, but it appears that you require one. I simply thought that the thesis statement was adequately supported in the introductory paragraph. To answer your question, "the point" was the beginning sentence of the introductory paragraph. In other words, revealed in the typical format for English composition and easily identified by people accustomed to this standard.
@LyleMyers
@LyleMyers 7 месяцев назад
I think you missed the point of my question. You clearly didn’t answer it. I’m asking you, what is the point of giving us your thesis statement, your mini-essay and your conclusion. Not just the what of it, but the why of it. What is the point of bringing a comparison to George Martin into the comment section of a video that’s neither about him nor has anything at all to do with him? Why would you do that? What was your point in doing that?
@proudliberal605
@proudliberal605 7 месяцев назад
@@LyleMyers When you declare, "nor has anything to do with him", I can draw two conclusions. 1) If you think George Martin had nothing to do with ANY given Beatle recording at ANY given time in their history, you are clearly revealing how very little knowledge you have of this band. You are not speaking from a position of expertise and your lack of knowledge will ultimately put you in an awkward position if you persist. 2) You asked what my point was. It was declared in the opening sentence of my paragraph, as is customary with English composition. Your refusal to accept that point is not my problem. It is yours. I can't lead you by the nose on basic simple stuff like this. George Martin was vastly more important to this production than anyone that wasn't a member of the group itself was. THAT...was my point. Accept it for what it is.
@LyleMyers
@LyleMyers 7 месяцев назад
Ah, I see. You still seem to be missing my point. I think I get your point, however. It was a flex on your part. Nothing more. A great big ‘hey everyone, I know a lot of things about the Beatles and want to let you know that, so I’m going to write a boorish comment where I draw a comparison to someone who this video was not about. Yes, I think I get the point of your comment. And I think that’s why you’re being rather condescending with your bloviating replies. You just don’t want to admit it. It’s all good. I’m sure Sir George would kindly appreciate you comparing him to Mal the way you did too. I mean seriously, did you really need to compare the fifth Beatle to the road manager?
