Spinal stability is not just about 'core' training, you are also training your BRAIN. Meaning, focusing on neuromuscular strength and coordination is key.
When are seeking to improve your lumbar spine stability, or general core stability, not much goes past the Bird Dog. But most are doing it wrong by simply trying to 'balance' between the opposite arm and leg.
Here I breakdown what you should be 'thinking' about when you do the Bird Dog exercise to improve your lumbar spine stability.

That’s what it means by training “intentionally” - use your brain. Another tip: do a few cat camels, not to end range and end being neutral before executing the exercise. This gives you gentle spine mobility before initiating. Also allows you to feel your core muscles (mind knowing where the core is). And breathe into the spine and brace. And yes, be tall and stay neutral.
