Tired of textbooks ignoring the essentials of sexual health, this game changer is redefining research into female sexuality. Professor Helen O’Connell shaped her story by becoming the first female urological surgeon in Australia. How will you shape yours?

Professor O'Connell is just a brilliant educator, brilliant surgeon, and a brilliant researcher. She has brought female anatomical knowledge into the 21st century. Such a fine doctor.

O’Connell does nothing to get this disseminated. Even one colleague she mentions in this video, John Delancy chose to omit clitoral anatomy from textbook coverage of vulvar anatomy. Claire Yang said she “didn’t know” how to get this anatomy disseminated and didn’t want to be quoted saying OB/GYNs aren’t interested in clitoral anatomy. I have gotten 18 textbooks changed, as a patient mutilated due to pervasive ignorance of clitoral anatomy. How many has O’Connell changed? 0?

If O’Connell did half the things she credits herself with doing, women like me wouldn’t have been harmed and wouldn’t still be getting harmed.

This textbook is still very bad, but I don’t think it is used much anymore. Is it? I’ve gotten Gray’s, Anatomy, Grant, Netter, and Moore to agree to change. Since you’ve had a problem with Last for decades, why didn’t you get it changed?

Professor Helen O'Connell - You should use the model you show at 15 minutes. Start from the there. And keep it short. This is too important a subject NOT to be presented Clearly. OK (Your presentation is laboured and unclear - especially your use of unfamiliar medical terms. Cut out the name dropping)
