Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you engage an audience. The groove is strong with this performance. I keep coming back here when I need a little "feel good" boost.
Been following Kool since I was a kid. My big brother put me on him. 70's. (Telling my age). His music is timeless.. Different lineups over the years. But that original band from 1974, 75, OMG!
DAMN what a concert !!! I was really entertained! god damn they are so talented and everything sounds so perfect. I smiled the whole 8 minutes and i love them!! i love kool and the gang and this concert is just a legend. Thank you god that you gave us so talented people
Fabulous rendition of an all time great - I usually shy away from the 'Live' versions as they can be dissapointing, but this is truly great - excellent performance from all on stage - very entertaining - thank the Lord for Black music, what a huge cultural gift they have given us all - Thanks for posting this - It's going in my faves for future enjoyment....
THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!!!!! Back in 1984, this was one song the nation of Tanzania will wait for on Sundays at 2pm. Boy, when this song comes on it's --- GIT UR BACKS UP OFF THE WALL...get down on it!!!...those were fun times and hats of KOOL & THE GANG
That soul music is the best of the best when music was music and you couldn't help but get on the dance floor and groove love it if you going to just sit down off this good music just leave the party jk but wow great music 👍🏻🎼🎸🎶🎙🎹
This type of music brings people together. Need more funk these days. You can't be in a bad mood and listen to this stuff. It smacks you and says look bitch.... just smile and have a good time. Cheers
Man, his voice hasn`t changed any. He still sounds just as good as he did 30 years ago. I still have on a video tape from the 80`s where Kool and the gang did a Wendy`s crispy nuggets commerical lol. Gotta love this.
Never truly appreciated these guys until I accidentally saw them live at a Van Halen concert a few months ago. They were awesome, and part of me is ashamed, yet somewhat gratified, to say I enjoyed them more than Van Halen that day.
Kool & the Gang we love you.........from Osaka japan...we enjoyed the concert in Billboard osaka last March 2010...please come back for the Big concert...we love you and we miss you all...
this is some good clean music. compared to what we have playing over the radios and Tvs today. Its a shame what music has come to with the lack of creativity and sampling and what not.
FWIW, the original Kool & the Gang members seen here are: Khalis Bayyan (Ronald Bell) who is band leader and gives the sax solo, Charles Smith with the beard on guitar, Dennis Thomas in the bright yellow outfit, George Brown on timbales on this tune, and Robert "Kool" Bell on bass. Sadly, we lost Charles not too long ago still. Also, Clifford Adams on trombone has been with them so many years, he should be an official member, too.
we Love kool and the gang...concert Live in Billboard Osaka was awesome....we really had a good time....Please comeback to osaka to make a big concert....we love it...
