As the summer approaches, the college baseball recruiting process is likely on your mind.
Whether you are a seasoned player or just starting your journey, it's essential to have a solid plan in place to maximize your chances of being recruited by the right college program.
That's why I'm excited to share with you my summer recruiting guide, which covers everything you need to know about the process.
In my latest RU-vid video and podcast episode, I go into detail about the key components of a successful summer recruiting plan.
Here's a quick overview:
Creating a Recruiting Video: One of the most critical pieces of your recruiting puzzle is a great video showcasing your skills.
Understanding Athletic Standards: Different divisions and conferences have different athletic standards. Knowing where you stand and what coaches are looking for will help you target the right programs.
Attending Camps and Showcases: These events are a great opportunity to get in front of college coaches and showcase your skills. I'll cover how to choose the right events and make the most of your time there.
Using Social Media: Social media can be a powerful tool for building your brand and connecting with college coaches.
Lifting in the Weight Room: Strength and conditioning are essential for any athlete, and college coaches are looking for players who are physically ready to compete at the next level.
If you're serious about playing college baseball, I highly recommend you check out my summer recruiting guide on RU-vid and my podcast.
These resources will provide you with a comprehensive plan for navigating the recruiting process and give you the best chance of being noticed by college coaches.
Thank you for reading today, and I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

Hi my son is 16 finishing his junior HS and starting his Senior year next August. We live in Puerto Rico and it gets pretty expensive to travel to showcases and Summer camps. Before filming a recruiting video and getting into serious promotional efforts I'd like to know what are the minimum atletic measurables he needs to accomplish to get a baseball scholarship in the US. Academically, I see him more oriented to a good D1 Juco because of the language barrier (his native language been Spanish),. He is a utility player and this season played mostly at CF and 3B

So, I think camps are the way to go for my son next summer over travel ball, but do the coaches actually look at the outfield well durning the simulated games or is it just mainly hitters and pitchers at that point? My son has done the simulated games, but it’s not frequent that the ball gets hit routinely to the outfield where he catches or has the chance to make solid throws.

Always very informative stuff. I have a question. I have emails and video prepared to send out to colleges. Should I wait a few weeks until they complete their seasons or just send it now while the colleges are still playing. Thanks for always putting great content out there.

Thanks Dylan. At this point I would suggest sending your emails out towards the end of the month when most schools are done.

@@RecruitingwithAlex My son got some responses to his questions for a college camp invite, they gave him a separate email to send the highlight video to so they could archive it and see the progression when he goes at the end of July. The email wasnt the coaches email who sent the invite, it was more of a generic email address. Could this be something new with the rule changes?

Love the content. My son is graduating 2027 (currently 8th grade). Is it to early to post highlight videos? Or should he wait until HS?

Just to be certain, sending a highlight video email to coaches is not a violation of the new rules for athletes communicating to coaches?
