Fun fact, top 8 had all previous GoML Ultimate winners. Sonix from last year, Onin from 2022, and Tweek from 2019 and 2020 online. So this makes Tweek a 3x GoML champion Edit: There were also a handful of runbacks from prior GOMLs. Riddles vs Big D happened at GOML 2022, Riddles vs Tweek happened at GOML 2023, and Big D vs Onin happened at GOML 2022

Leo losing to syrup, this makes either Syrup or Onin against riddles (probably Onin), then tweek vs Onin grands, IF leo deafeted sonix, we would have Onin winning a supermajor after his bad 2023

I think it's safe to say Tweek has fully adapted to the new meta. All of the other former top players that now struggle to top-8/win tournaments just haven't picked up the right character(s) or strategies. On another note, it's disheartening how these tournaments are so hype during the top 128-64-even-32. However, the top 24 onward is typically heartbreak into an "oh no...this top 8 is going to be hard to watch". It happens almost every major now and it's just tiresome now. One more patch?

I had a lot of fun watching the top 8 of low tide city 2024, kagaribi 12 and battle of bc 6, not just top 128 and 64, to name a few recent example. Get on my level X was a little bit of a snoozefest as early as top 32, but it's not ''almost every major'' imo.

Bro Light has a 9-3 advantage on Sonix lifetime h2h that should have been easy for him if we're going by stats alone. The Big D seeding was also unfortunate but Light said he would work on the matchup yet he made the same mistakes he made in the past.
