Hello! I came to your channel for a gallbladder video and stayed for this one. Both were great. I can't help but wonder if, after all these months and newly diagnosed ulcers later, people have started developing more of an appreciation for the lovely color orange.
I dont know man, but you put some things out there that seem like doesnt matter who is electec because life will be the same, but that really isnt true... Some desicisions that trump made affected millions of people, like ending obama care... Maybe for you it will be the same, you have your porche and your pretty house, but not all people live in that dream...
There's a difference though. He built that dream by himself. He PUT HIMSELF in his own situation. Anyone could do what Dr Parker has done, but most people choose not to. He's made himself so successful that the president can't affect him significantly, whilst other people are settling and letting government policies control their happiness. All Dr Parker is saying is that it is/was definitely possible to live a happy life regardless of who's president, most people are just choosing not to.
@@GigiDuduman what? Dr. Parker, like myself, did it with student loans. I come from a family of immigrants where I had to join the army and go to Afghanistan to pay for med school. So yeah, if you’re not where you want to be in life that’s on you because I had nothing and made it happen.
I love how you don't have this victimhood mentality. Unlike other young docs on instagram, you dont blame a president or candidate for their failures. legit I saw a young doctor post on Insta that it was presidents trumps fault for obesity. Like..... idk about you, but I grew up eating from grocery outlet and I knew freinds who got their food from pantries and were both fit and healthy. Why? Cos we chose to eat good. Has nothing to do with ANY president.
I would love for this to be true, and I genuinely appreciate your point of view and input on this. But, unfortunately, this election puts on the line our climate, the rights of our fellow Americans, and even how we are perceived by other countries around the world - among many other topics that have a broader reach than just myself. I would love to just worry about my own goals, but I think that this election is much more important than myself. I say this not out of hate for you Dr. Buck, but as a doctor I would expect you to empathize with other people who’s way of life is at risk in this election. As a matter of fact that statement applies to all of us because trump will fuck the climate so hard the earth is liable to explode (note: this is hyperbole for comedic effect, but barely so). To sum up, I see where you are coming from, I truly do, but there is much more at stake here than my grades at university or getting in to medical school. Furthermore, even if that were the truth, I have not met a single decent person who plans on voting for trump in 2020. In 2016 they had some modicum of an excuse, but they certainly don’t anymore. In my opinion, if you want to be a kind person to other people, you CANNOT vote for Trump. He will hurt not only the people of this nation, but the nation and system of democracy itself.

marisaa98 sorry what’s the unemployment right now? That’s not the lowest it’s ever been. Not even close. It was at the start of his term, (and at the end of Obama’s term, gee I wonder why) and is now fucked because of Covid. You can argue it wasn’t his fault, you’d be wrong but there are some points for him there, but you can’t say unemployment is lower now.
