@@valberm This is what viruses also seeks, our natural gifts to be hijacked and used against us. Invasion doesn't have to be on a mass scale, sometimes it is so small and slow.
It’s a fact that old technology makes anything creepier. Old TVs, radios, phonographs, etc. Probably the static they produce is a big part of what makes them scary.
Right? People should just accept their fate and be honored to be a part of the wonderful Armitage family who are just humble doctors from a traditional lineage.
@@Funeral_Mannequinbut they already had this Film while Rose was a child and the Grandpa said that his son already perfected it. So they were going at it at least a decade
Ricardo Montalban said that a good villain doesn't consider themselves evil, they feel they are doing the right thing and are justified in their actions. It's not so much that someone is evil as much as they have a perverted sense of righteousness that really makes something horrific.
Bodysnatching is real. Demonic possession is real. If you knew anything about the satanic occult which our government and celebrities practice you would have picked up on it in the movie.
No. Armitage family is a member of the organization "New World Order" and the order in their family is to develop the Coagula procedure. It is like an illuminati shit
I feel bad for Chris. He was once in love with Rose and wanted to be there for her after telling her the story of how his mom passed away, only to be betrayed by her.
I know same thing similar happened to me this I met this girl who I thought was my best friend I told her my story and everything I wanted to be there for her but she was leading me on the whole time smh it's sad
@@emilyandrews9857 It's ok and what hurts me the most is I wanted to be there for her son I don't have any kids of my own but I wanted to look at her as son as my own bcuz I know what it's like growing up without a father I already had that experience but then again it's her loss
@@emilyandrews9857 I honestly think that I'm living in the wrong generation bcuz back then u could go to a bar or cafe and decent convo with a female but u can't do that anymore 😔
Theory: The name "Armitage" is derived from the Old French word "hermitage", which roughly translates to "hermit". Think about the hermit crab and how it uses hard shells to protect its soft body. The layering in this film is mind-blowing.
This was as SINISTER as every creepy and scary way possible. That music, apparently peaceful, was so haunting and the video’s subtext is just neo-racism for the 21st Century. The idea of eternity for the future through snatching the bodies of black people and living through their minds is just as sinister and sick, that reminds me a bit of “Chinatown” the cloning subtext. “Get Out” is one of the most original scariest films ever made, and this video is truly unsettling.
SPACE PAPI me too......I was blown away by the opening scene but this scene and the scene where the blind guy isexplaining the procedure scared the living shit out of me
Which means they've been doing this for what? 20 years? How many people had they done this to in 20 years? And the fact that they trained Rose as a honeytrap when she was old enough is a whole other level of creepy...
"Our Order has been developing it (The Coagula Procedure) for many, many years...and it wasn't until recently it was perfected." I think v1 of this is the cloning procedure referenced in "Us" that didn't work properly in the 80s and made the tethered.
Agreed, but I always have trouble finding the significance behind the deer scenes in this movie. Am I missing something or is it a mystery to others just as to what the deer actually represents in this movie?
@@scottybricks3996 hunted. A deer being hunted is kin to a slave being hunted- both seen as animals. And the dad in the movie said "All deers deserve to die"
It really is. I was in the movie theater watching this and it was only like half full. This scene made me feel completely alone. I was also the only black Person in there so lol
That's not how slaves were captured though, they were captured through wars between neighbouring tribes, the winners would enslave the losers and sell them or force them to work for them and this was going on thousands of years before the Arabs or the Europeans ever arrived in Africa. First the Africans sold slaves to each other, then the Arabs arrived by that time they had already been capturing and selling Jews, Hindus & white Europeans before they arrived in Africa. The Arabs arrival pushed the demand for slavery they started to take the slaves out of African into the middle east it was a brutal trip where 1 in 4 Africans would die, they would also castrate them, the poor people. This may be shocking but the African Kings and their people loved slavery as it made them very very rich, African Kings made up to 250,000 pounds a year selling his fellow Africans into slavery. One big player was King Gezo who said, He would do anything the British wanted him to do apart from giving up the slave trade, he went on to say "the slave trade is the ruling principle of my people. It is the source and glory of their wealth..the mother lulls the child to sleep with the notes of triumph, when an enemy is reduced to slavery" When the British finally banned slavery for good in 1807 the King of Bonny( which is now the Nigerian delta) was dismayed at the conclusion of the practice he stated; "We think this trade must go on, that is the verdict of our oracle and the priests. They say that your country however great, can never stop a trade ordained by God Himself"!! It's very shocking isn't it, that the Africans themselves didn't want the slave trade to end as it made them lots and lots of money they insisted it continue, thankfully it didn't. The history of slavery is complex it's not as straight forward as you may think many players were involved, it happened through war and invasion ... slavery existed in every society throughout history. Tribes would battle and the losers were enslaved, it's how things went amd that was considered fair back then and if the other tribe won they would do the same.
@@GeronFletcher Lol This evil moron just referred to our suffering ancestors as creatures. The stupidity in these devils, judgment can’t come fast enough..
i love how get out had so many different layers of creepy and bone chilling scenes. like each scene not only blow your mind but just really really creep you out. this scene here just speaks too many volumes.
All of this started because he lost in a race with Jesse Owens which would've allowed him to compete in the Berlin Olympics right? Well, I have two words to say to him: Luz Long.
I'm white and even i gotta admit that old white dudes are either really nice and humble or creepy af, no in-between. Side note: how insane is it that the first person that was captured and had to watch this video was probably looking at the man who was going to be inhabiting his body... creepy.
That’s dumb. Obviously the grandfather was showing it to victims for years before he was on the brink of death and had to be transplanted to Walter. The parents and kids were more than half their age in the video
This was funny, subliminally, scary & creative. I respect every bit of it. Jordan Peele is a true genius. His mind is magical. We most definitely needs more directors & producers like liked. He needs to link up with my uncle; Kasaun E Henry.
The way he slowly transforms from kindly elderly tour guide... To condescending evil maniac... To awestruck by the sheer beauty of his man-made reincarnation procedure... It's scary.
I just think about the old people who have accepted that they're old and don't spend their time thinking about what they'd be doing if they were young again, instead enjoy the memories that comes with their long life and are enjoying their lives at the stages they are now. The unselfish ones like my grandma.
All this because he lost a race to Jesse Owens? Do you know what almost makes it all worse? When you look up those Olympics and find out about the German athlete Jesse Owens competed against during the race and the long jump, Luz Long, and what Jesse Owens said about him afterwards. Won't go into too much detail, just that it's safe to say that Jesse Owens and Luz Long were men. This guy is not, and neither is his son nor his grandson no matter how highly the three of them think of themselves
What scares me is that we are watching and hearing the tv video from Chris's perspective. Roman explaining the procedure and the calm and catchy background music from the video just adds to the creepiness. Then the horror music from 1:22 and the slow zoom of the deer head at 1:46 just makes you realize that Chris is in a serious situation even though you get more info soon lol.
Thr weirdest thing for me about the scene is I have at times had a dream where I am alone in a room with a TV in the middle of it and I get this very frightening feeling..there is nothing obviously scary there but its a feeling and it's always made me wonder..this scene was similar
I love how Roman's voice speed goes the same as the Keepers voice speed Very low For example: Hi---Im Roman---your probably wondering what's going on--- One of a kind---Top of the line---
To all those who praised writers to oh what a magnificent film, there's no such thing. I'll give you the actors are FANTASTIC. It was easy to adapt due to the fact THAT THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING. I'm talking about the mental control, not so much swapping bodies, although body parts yes, killing to steal organs. And it's worst, not only adults but mostly with kids. These actors are full into and they're aware of the know-how. Done by politicians, bankers, celebrities. Also the " hypnosis" is also part of the many mental programs they have Mk and so many others. So don't think for a second than this " script" is only a creepy idea. It's more real than you think.
If that were true then billionaires wouldn't let themselves age into their 90s. They would all "die" in their 60s or 70s maybe earlier. There's a reason they do everything possible to prolong their life, it's because despite all the technology we have there's no escaping death. You can't transplant a consciousness.
Funny, true story I have a friend who invited me (I am black) and some people to a German dancing festival and we were dancers. I danced with a beautiful girl, Sabrina. Anyways. The day of the ceremony comes after 2 months of rehearsals and it is filled with old white dudes. One of the other guys there says “yo I am getting some serious get out vibes from this if they say there is a raffle or something I am bugging out” So the night goes on and near the end the woman running the thing goes “Ladies and gentlemen we are now going to announce the winners of our Raffle!” OMFG we lost it. We were like Oh shit it’s a trap and on the other side of the dance floor was a guy in a wheelchair I pointed him out and said “Oh god a guy in a wheelchair who wants to use our legs!!! Sure enough it was my dance partner’s dad :( she got mad But then I apologizes explained the joke she understood and we are still friends to this day.
Scary thing about this is that, while this procedure is aimed at black people, theoretically any mad man with medical experience could take this and expand it to young people in general, not just black people.
This guy (Richard Herd) voiced Father Elijah in the Fallout New Vegas DLC, Dead Money. 10/10 game, btw. And this scene where the protagonist is taken prisoner, listened to him introducing what's going to happen, and forced to help him with his goal reminds me of the opening of that creepy DLC.
