Alireza with black , Alireza with white , it is always him that creates wildness .

No doubt about that. Makes his games fun to spectate, but he needs to be more consistent to get higher.

Alireza is a real crowd puller because he plays entertaining Chess regardless of how dull classic chess has become. He definitely needs a good mentor to guide him and try to calm him down trying to control his emotions. I think he can be as adventurous as he wants and play aggressive chess against many players and then switch to more defensive kind of play (if possible) against top players like MC, HN and FC.

Great job as always. Looked like a typical Firouzja game, good moves, then an odd sequence which gets him in some trouble, then some really tricky difficult moves to save his own bacon, usually while in time trouble.

Great analysis, this guy has no fear to play that open game against Hikaru

I can't believe Firouzja got away with those pawn moves, f3, g3, g4. Insanity. That would tilt me. That king-side pawn structure was so horrid. Alireza gets himself in trouble too often, I feel. He manages to swindle his way out of trouble a lot, but it seems like a perpetual problem for him. He wants to engage in swashbuckling sword fights but often gets caught with his guard down before the fight can even begin. It's interesting how so many of his peers seem so much more stable, than he is.

Alireza Firouzja is getting back to his beast form ,dont be surprised If he passes 2800 again soon.This guy is the most talented chess player I have ever seen in my life.

I'm not convinced. Talented - no doubt. But he is uneven in his play, capable of genius and then something terrible. The best players are consistently good.

Qa2 is such a mysterious move, it just feels like we're watching memorised computer lines these days

It seems as though Guccireza preps classical games as if he is about to play rapid or even blitz. The opening moves may have been computer-approved, but it seemed very difficult to improve white's position past preparation. Since he chose something so risky, he nearly lost. He indeed has significant talent, but his decision making with prep, time usage, and style is lacking. He seems to have improved since the Candidates, but he needs a personal breakthrough to get back to 2800-level performances.

Do you know the reason behind queen a2 from your analysis?
@Badbentham
@Badbentham 25 дней назад
From my human POV, without engine: Black's idea is ...c7-c6 , followed by ...d6-d5. The queen move gives an escape square for the Bc4. Otherwise, like in the previous game between them, White would need to compromise with d3-d4 to bail the bishop out, which is fairly risky with White's undeveloped queenside.
@michaelblankenau6598

Why is White’s g3 hard to understand ? Black threatens to win the Knight with g5 .

@PowerPlayChess
@PowerPlayChess 24 дня назад
@@michaelblankenau6598 For me, it is the two moves f3 and g3 in combination that are hard to understand: White's king is weakened and that had severe consequences that Nakamura was able to exploit - even if he couldn't quite finish off.
@PowerPlayChess
@PowerPlayChess 24 дня назад
It is pre-empting ...c6 and ...d5, but that isn't such a big deal. Caruana played 10 Nbd2 in that position instead and only after 10...c6 11 Qa2. No drama.
