The Disney sabers are so disappointing once you get into the aftermarket ones. Even cheap LGT and TXQ ones look much better and more screen accurate. And any saber with any neopixel board will have far more options.
I think the reason the Disney ones are thicker is because the aftermarket lightsabers use a single high end battery while the Disney ones use common AA batteries. They know the casual fans won't know where to get the 1800 batteries, so they build the lightsabers so you can get replacement batteries at places like Walmart.
It’s more expensive too when you have to factor in Flight/gas(if driving) and accommodations like hotels…but sometimes, it’s the journey that makes the best memories, let’s not forget that Savi’s workshop is mainly an attraction for kids, so the kids would have a more memorable experience.
For me, the experience of building the lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop was what it was all about. I have a bunch of lightsabers that outclass the Disney/Legacy sabers but they come prebuilt and they don’t come with the whole experience. The lightsaber itself was secondary.
Disneys are just heavy but their blade design is ideal the blade strength not so much but the design is perfect push twist lock unlock and not a flashlight

No way! The Stellan Gios is available! I really wanted it when it came out but couldn’t justify the $325 price tags! Hopefully it becomes available online or available when I go in October!
This did not age well. Really a terrible show. However, they could have made some cool merchandise if the show were successful and had characters that were enjoyable. However, after watching the show, I don’t think marketers had a character to push for sabers. The comics don’t make enough money to be dictating stories like the high republic or on Vader. It be wise to think out these comics more. It’s not like Spider-Man where they can just say it was a clone (well…. Okay bad example since that’s the route they went down for the sequels) Hope you enjoy the rant like I did.

It’s a cool buckle I never knew who it would be for but I held onto it for years. Happy it’s for Alice and she can grow up with the buckle I’ll just adjust the leather as she gets bigger :)
no kidding! I had the Po-Zu boots on order after one of your videos and they were supposed to be on the way then after a few weeks I called and they had cancelled and refunded me. Oversell and I was so disappointed ☹️
When I was at Savi 2 weeks ago (July 2024) they were limited in parts - they only had 1 type of switch available for certain designs. Even online and at other shops I have not been able to find replacement parts.
Great Podcast episode! I LOVE Galaxy's Edge! I did have the opportunity to enjoy the Halcyon Galactic Starcruiser. It was a blast & I was nervous for the cost that it would be kids oriented but the cast was great to make it an experience for all. Part of your 1st day is your excursion to Battu and we scanned a lot of crates and had interaction at both rides. Unlock sound effects around many vehicles & droids around Galaxy's Edge. The didn't have Bounty Hunting yet while we were there. Savi's is a great experience! I had a trenmdous cast member for mine. Again really enjoyed your video and love to see everyone enjoying their experiences!
Tell me more. Was there something you were excited about for the show? What is not living up to your expectations after watching? I love the KOTOR period and are looking forward to more of that with the jedi.

Thank guys, and YES DRESS UP. Thanks to you guys, you inspired me on the whole bounding thing. Now I search for stuff to use and made my on little character, especially for summer so I don't die in the heat. Have on own little bounty hunter, especially now with the bounty hunter missions, which is SO MUCH FUN. I am so happy you got to see the fireworks show, isn't that AMAZING, I cried during it. I hope it stays. Man, I need to get back to building my own saber again, I haven't done it since it first open, so many cool pieces. Thanks again guys. Aw, Alice baby bounding is too cute. I think her generation will actually have droids you can purchase for the home. The new sabers and other merchandise you showed us look great.
I really hope we get Vernestra Rwoh's lightwhip soon, she is in the Acolyte but also features heavily in the books and having cool sabers runs in the jedi legacy because Stellan Gios was her master! Its so cool seeing my favourite characters in the books finally getting recognised in the parks! I hope we get some more from Young Jedi Adventures because thats set in the High Republic too! I love that HR spans so many age ranges too, and YJA is genuinely some fantastic star wars.

Yes our patreon version of this episode shows a bunch of the young jedi stuff we saw at the Trading Post. I kept in alot more shopping to the video on there. @@AlwaysBelieve I once owned a Photo Studio in Houston Texas.weddings, Portraits, Model portfolio and composites, product, industrial. We did it all on this thing we called film. I collected cameras then and i had a working Graflex Crown Graphic 4X5 camera. Only used it now and then for fun. I had a box of accessories for the Graflex including several 3 D Cell Flash Bulb holders. I even acquired several Graflex Bare Tube electronic flash attachments. You could use them with a reflector or bare bulb just to boost the overall light in a small room. I used several of those Bare Bulb units to make a big Soft light box I made from PVC pipe frame . It was great for product lighting and also for Joan Collins if she ever dropped in for a close portrait haha.

When we went to Galaxy's Edge the first time my wife wore a t-shirt with the Enterprise on it which said "I love Star Wars", she then proceeded to ask every character she saw if they had seen Spock and told them to "Live long and prosper." The looks she got were priceless.
100% if activists keep making stores that writers should be making, the Star Wars films will be just like Clint Eastwood movies: only watched by your dad, and commented on too much to watch with him. Notice how there's no new cowboy flicks coming out. Just like there won't be new star wars.
@@roccobottedon’t deny it, it was the directors idea… she decided to use Star wars’ ip as a platform to make a queer story, evidently lacking any hetero white males, and said anyone who hates her show, whom she calls racists and homophobes, aren’t Star Wars fans. She also said people looking towards George Lucas as though he holds the key to Star Wars is misogynistic.
