Absolutely love this look, understated but so effective and stylish. I so want to try Surrat and our major makeup and skincare shop similar to Space NK, have just started carrying it and I was planning to go tomorrow for the first time in a year. Hi Dr. Bunting! Slightly off topic but I was wondering what your thoughts are on aqueous cream as an emollient treatment for dry skin conditions. I've seen some recommend its use, others recommend it is only used as a soap substitute, and others still say it should never be used at all on account of the small amount of SLS present in most formulations. I'd love to know what you think

Hi Dr Sam - not sure you'll read this now as this vid is 3 month's old however just wanted to say I put some of the items you featured on my birthday list. I got the eye lash curlers which are better than my shu ones IMO, also the Hadaka eye lid lustre and 2 of the autographique eye liners. Wish I could have got the highlight - that looks lovely and lippie - too expensive but happy with what I got. Interested that you use the no. 4 shade of Surratt Dew Drops - that leans too yellow for me and I am not nearly as pale as you. I have trialled the no. 3 shade (too pale) and no. 5 (still a bit too yellow) - I have light olive tone (esp on my neck) and it is murderous finding something to match me. The Dew Drops foundation is indeed a lovely one - just wish I could find a better match for my skin tone as it really is a lovely foundation. I even tried the famous Koh Gen Do 213 which is HG to many light olive people but was surprised to see it was too dark for me. So the search continues ... Your vid introduced my to Surratt products for which I am grateful (although bank balance, not so).Thanks Dr Sam - I use all your skincare line and really like it.

Currently using Flawless Nightly Serum. My skin was very dry so this is a little easier to handle right now.

It's a lovely look and very natural but I would consider this more of an everyday look, rather than a date night look. Would have liked to have seen perhaps a smokier eye or at least a darker shadow in the crease and outer "v".

Can you do a video about retin-a/tretinoin and hair loss/increase sheddage and your thoughts?? After using tret for 3 years( 3x a week mostly, US generic version), i realized i may have more sheddage due to tret and ( i have no other health issues, labs come back normal, etc, i eat healthy, i don't feel super stressed etc). BUT, i've read ALOT of things online from other users talking about tret and hair loss- which is kind of scary. I do plan to go off tret for 3 months to test my theory. But, as many people talk about it online and have come to this conclusion it must be a thing! Although if I find it to be the tret, I'll be switching to a regular retinol or Avene's Retinal to try as no matter what i do tret is too drying for my skin( i did follow the correct steps in using it. but nothing worked to make it non drying)

Hi Dr Sam, do you mind me asking if you reapply sunscreen once you have done your makeup in the morning? I want to, but I find it difficult when makeup is worn. Also how would you suggest to wear lipstick without rubbing off spf on your lips?

If I'm going to be outside during my day, I'll use tinted spf, minimal cosmetics and then reapply accordingly. Top up lips with an spf lip product in the same way - I'd keep lip colour sheer so this wasn't a hassle. ❤️

Do u use powder?how do u set your makeup?

Hi she has said multiple times in other videos that she does not use powder as it tends to be comodegenic. I have acne prone combination/oily skin and have not used powder on my skin for years and my makeup looks great. Same for my skin. My sensitive skin does not like layers of products. You just have to find a good foundation and it will set nicely without powder.
